We have been hard at work writing a slew of new tunes, some of which we debuted last week in our shows with Living Things.

We were thinking of making another EP, but have decided instead to write and record our first full-length album, which is why it is taking a little longer.

A few of em will be up here in the next month including 'Vagabond Heart Attack' and 'The Knife'.

New ones that we have demoed and will be finishing up very soon include 'Ariel', "Don't Leave, Don't Follow, 'Paper Tigers', 'Get Me Out Of Here', 'I Promised You A Lie'... and then there is 'Interzone', 'Tiny Bones' [just written today!] and more more more

BLOODCAT LOVE SHOWS IT'S CLAWS

"Buoyant as he feels these days, Myles Hendrik was no overnight sensation. The Bloodcat Love frontman moved to L.A. from New Zealand five years ago -- "to pursue the dream," he says, making you feel silly for asking why -- only to take that long to find the right chemistry for his quintet.

"Moving to a different country, you start completely over," he says. Forming a band "is like having four girlfriends. You don't marry the first four girls you sleep with in L.A. You have divorces, you have horrible breakups. Things happen."

Most recently, guitarist Dion Lunadon, formerly of the Kiwi rock band the D4, moved away. But Australian Mitch McIvor (cousin of the Cester brothers of Jet) came aboard, as did drummer Marty Cornish, firming up a lineup that includes guitarist Joshua Mancuso and bassist Nicholas Oja.

Just in time. The band's "Only Dreamers Left Alive" EP is almost ready, and the quintet has a date Friday at the Viper Room before two showcases in New York City as part of the CMJ Music Marathon.

Bloodcat Love's muscular, beer-soaked primitivism stops mercifully short of the clichéd theatrics that sabotage a lot of L.A. garage rockers, and its danceability speaks to Hendrik's years spent as a DJ and promoter. WE'RE BACK!!!!

We welcome two new exciting members to the the Bloodcat fold: Marty Cornish on drums and from Australia Mitch McIvor [cousin of the Cester brothers from Jet]. It took us a while to find the perfect players to fill Dion and Claudia's shoes but these two are very sassy and have brought so much vigor and skill to the table. Both these guys are genius and making us better than ever!

In a week or so from now we will also be announcing another brand new member who will be adding keyboards to round out our sound and that will truly be worth losing your knickers over, especially when you see who it is!

Also we have just announced new shows starting with a date with our pals She Wants Revenge and ending with our first ever shows in New York!
