If I were to ask you the question today, “Who is the Bride of Christ?”, no doubt you would say it is the Church.
Ask your child who it is, your mother, your Pastor, your Sunday
School teacher and you will get pretty much the same answer: it is the
church. It is interesting to me that we repeat facts back and forth and
never, ever question those facts.
We start entire movements based around “bridal intimacy” and just
“intimacy”. When someone gets uncomfortable with the idea of passing
under a wedding arch and “marrying Jesus”, we just tell them, “Well,
you are the Bride, right?”. I have actually heard songs sung to Jesus
in church where they declare that they want to “Lean back against your chest, feel your breath against my neck”.
And no matter how homoerotic the message is, we are told that it is okay because we are the Bride.
And with satan’s objective of the emasculation of the Church in
full-court press, how is that that we haven’t simply checked the Word
of God?
Had you simply done that, you would see that the church is to the bridal paradigm as the 3 wise men are to Christmas.
So Christ does have a Bride, correct? I mean, we know that much. So who is it if it isn’t the church?
Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the
first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no
more sea.
Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from
God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Not enough proof for you yet? How about this one:
Rev 21:9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels
which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked
with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s
wife.
Rev 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high
mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending
out of heaven from God.
So out of the four references to the Bride of Christ in the NT, all
refer to the new Jerusalem as the Bride and the righteousness of the
saints is her wedding dress.
But…but….but…what about Paul’s references to the church being like the
wife. Certainly then we can draw the conclusion that we are His wife
from that, right?
Let me ask you question.
If you are engaged to be married but not married yet, do you have
the right to do business in your partners name? No, that right is only
bestowed after the marriage, right? So if we were His wife, and the
wedding feast had not yet taken place, we could not legally use His
name. Paul never mentions any such thing. In fact, Paul even puts the
husband and wife talk into perspective for you in Ephesians: Eph 5:28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
We aren’t the Bride of Christ, we are the Body of Christ. And
someday, we will be a part of the Marriage of the Lamb when the New
Jerusalem is placed here on Earth and God’s dream to move in is finally
accomplished, a dream that He has had since the garden of Eden.
So, maybe before you accept another paradigm given in the name of
revelation, perhaps it would be best if you checked the Word first.
Perhaps all of us should.
Be blessed.
J.

Recently, David Wilkerson sent out a mass warning to everyone on his email list as well as his blog claiming that massive wrath was about to befall the United States, specifically New York City. Now, I have spoken to Pastor David in the past. He has always been generous, kind and willing to take the time to answer questions. However, as far as prophecies are concerned, he is not 100% correct in all that he has said. To be sure, many things he has foretold have come to pass, there isn’t much debate about this. But he has been wrong and has been prone to knee-jerk reactions when he sees the slightest sign that something he has prophesied may come to pass.
However, unlike some others involved with the “The End is Nigh” scene, I respect Davy and while I pray that he is wrong, I can not say with certainty that he indeed is. Recently my thoughts have returned to a word that he gave some time ago regarding the fall of the United States. Now, this is a paraphrase but I am sure you will get the idea. He foretold that a major disaster was going to hit the MIDDLE of the U.S. The disaster would be so large that it would bankrupt the insurance companies and the Federal government would be unable to take up the slack. Now, even 6 months ago, that would appear to be silliness. However, with AIG in the tank compounded by a government already committed to Keynesian Deficit spending, we would be helpless in the face of a major catastrophe, particularly if we are already “loan broke” to the Chinese.
It is worrying, to be sure. On the flip side of this, I am encouraged in my spirit. I do not believe that we live in a dispensation of judgment, we live in the dispensation of grace. That is why God’s wrath has not fallen on us sooner. That is why the combined atrocities of the U.S.S.R., China, Pol Pot, Eastern Europe, Rwanda, Idi Amin, etc, have not provoked God’s wrath. But that dispensation could be coming to an end and if it is, God help us all. Everyone knows that at some stage, the clock of God’s wrath will strike midnight and he will no longer ignore the sin of mankind. I personally pray that we are nowhere near such a time, there is too much to do.
Some preachers such as Andrew Strom have been very vocal about God’s wrath on America. I have largely discounted this as the bitter musings of a man who failed to see any effectiveness here in the States. But there is a respect for Pastor David that I hold that forces me to take the issue to prayer. Let me say again, I have not heard wrath in my spirit, I have felt compelled to do the work. And the work is successful! We have planted a third church and people’s lives are being transformed by the Word and Power of God. But there is much to do, friends.
Regardless if great balls of fiery death begin falling or not, the work must happen, now more than ever. I want to encourage you to help us to do as much as we can in this day, please. Posted below is David’s prophecy taken from his blog:
AN URGENT MESSAGE
I am compelled by the Holy Spirit to send out an urgent message to all on our mailing list, and to friends and to bishops we have met all over the world.
AN EARTH-SHATTERING CALAMITY IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN. IT IS GOING TO BE SO FRIGHTENING, WE ARE ALL GOING TO TREMBLE - EVEN THE GODLIEST AMONG US.
For ten years I have been warning about a thousand fires coming to New York City. It will engulf the whole megaplex, including areas of New Jersey and Connecticut. Major cities all across America will experience riots and blazing fires—such as we saw in Watts, Los Angeles, years ago.
There will be riots and fires in cities worldwide. There will be looting—including Times Square, New York City. What we are experiencing now is not a recession, not even a depression. We are under God’s wrath. In Psalm 11 it is written,
“If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (v. 3). God is judging the raging sins of America and the nations. He is destroying the secular foundations.
The prophet Jeremiah pleaded with wicked Israel, “God is fashioning a calamity against you and devising a plan against you. Oh, turn back each of you from your evil way, and reform your ways and deeds. But they will say, It’s hopeless! For we are going to follow our own plans, and each of us will act according to the stubbornness of his evil heart” (Jeremiah 18:11-12).
In Psalm 11:6, David warns, “Upon the wicked he will rain snares (coals of fire)…fire…burning wind…will be the portion of their cup.” Why? David answered, “Because the Lord is righteous” (v. 7). This is a righteous judgment—just as in the judgments of Sodom and in Noah’s generation.
WHAT SHALL THE RIGHTEOUS DO? WHAT ABOUT GOD’S PEOPLE?
First, I give you a practical word I received for my own direction. If possible lay in store a thirty-day supply of non-perishable food, toiletries and other essentials. In major cities, grocery stores are emptied in an hour at the sign of an impending disaster.
As for our spiritual reaction, we have but two options. This is outlined in Psalm 11. We “flee like a bird to a mountain.” Or, as David says, “He fixed his eyes on the Lord on his throne in heaven—his eyes beholding, his eyelids testing the sons of men” (v. 4). “In the Lord I take refuge” (v. 1).
I will say to my soul: No need to run…no need to hide. This is God’s righteous work. I will behold our Lord on his throne, with his eye of tender, loving kindness watching over every step I take—trusting that he will deliver his people even through floods, fires, calamities, tests, trials of all kinds.
Note: I do not know when these things will come to pass, but I know it is not far off. I have unburdened my soul to you. Do with the message as you choose.
God bless and keep you, In Christ, DAVID WILKERSON
A Further Word
“If the foundations be destroyed, what shall the righteous do?” Recently I felt compelled to send out an URGENT message warning of an impending great calamity — such that will cause even God’s elect to tremble.
One Bishop asked, “Is there no further word: How should the righteous respond to such a word?”
I can only answer by sharing what the Holy Spirit is speaking to my own heart and what I am to do. I shared that I was led in a practical way to lay aside a month’s supply of food — because I have witnessed the panic in the wake of terrorism. That has to be a personal word for every individual.
This is what I hear the Holy Spirit speaking to my heart concerning my own spiritual response to impending calamity. It is simply this —STAND STILL AND SEE THE SALVATION OF THE LORD. “And Moses said to the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will show you today…The Lord shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace” (Exodus 14:13-14). This is the attitude of faith in the face of calamity. What could Israel do on the brink of the Red Sea? Pharaoh’s army is pressing in, mountains are on both sides, and there is an impossible sea ahead. The flesh cries, “Do something!”
The flesh cries hopelessness. Can God’s people dry up the sea? Level a mountain? Fight a great army without having weapons? They are in what appears to be a dreadful, frightening situation. God’s people tremble — and in this hour of trembling comes a word from God. In essence: “Stand still. Fear not. This is the hour of salvation. You are going to witness the pulling down of the foundations of a world power. But in the same hour, I will fight for you. Hold your peace — be still and see my works.”
Beloved, my warning is just one voice among many who are saying the same thing. We may all tremble for a season, but those who truly know God’s Word will be quickly comforted by the Holy Spirit. We will be baptized with a great peace — a supernatural quietness — which will be a tremendous witness to the fearful multitudes.
In Christ, David Wilkerson

The darkest times in human history have all begun when someone decided “not to let a serious crisis go to waste”. In fact, it is in times of economic crisis that folks are most susceptible to the ideas of tyrants. We look for an answer, any port in a storm that will shield us from the unknown. And in our desire to be safe, we open ourselves up to things that we would never have dreamed of allowing in normal times. Consider, my friends that Germany in the 1930’s was suffering from massive unemployment and high inflation, mostly due to the effects of the Great Depression. Hitler appointed Hjalmar Schacht as Minister of Economics to combat this and bring Germany into fresh prosperity. Schacht leaned on Keynesian Economics to this end, specifically in the areas of large public works programs supported by deficit spending. For those that don’t know, deficit spending is when the Government purposefully spends more money than they receive through tax revenues. The theory is that by spending into deficit, the government creates jobs which increases consumer spending. This in turn, creates more business by supplying for the new spending being done.
The natural reaction that rational people have to deficit spending is to talk about the “burden of the national debt”. The idea of course is that if we create debt now, future generation s will have to pay that debt off and we therefore are saddling them with a burden that is unfair. Interestingly, this reaction has been in place since the 1930’s when Keynes first introduced his theory. Now, is it any wonder that the current administration has been untouched by the Right’s cries regarding the burden of the national debt? To them it is the expected and naïve cry of the bourgeoisie used to scare the ignorant proletariat. To the Keynesians, the debt-income ratio would disappear over time anyway, provided the economy grew fast enough.
Forgive my descent into macroeconomic theory, friends, I do have a point here. However, I want you folks to understand what is happening all around you right as we speak. Obama’s administration has embraced Keynesian economic theory. That is the reason for the massive spending bill, the Omnibus bill and the bailouts. They believe that by combating the current recession with massive governmental public works and deficit spending, they can end the economic crisis. Hjalmar Schacht and Adolf Hitler believed the exact same thing and Schacht applied the theory to Germany’s Depression economy. After jolting the economy with massive deficit spending, the next step was to implement the Reinhardt Program, combining tax reductions with public investment in roads, railways and waterways. Now while it cannot be argued that both practices worked in getting Germany well on the road to recovery, it also is evident that it was the death of the free market in Germany and the perfect springboard for Hitler’s rise to dictatorship.
In the Germany of the 1930’s, the economic troubles served as a serious crisis in which the National Socialist Party could push through major reforms. When your job, your home, your livelihood seems to be in peril, people look for a voice, any voice, that seems to have the answer for their day-to-day problems. The more charismatic that leader is, the quicker his ascent to power during a crisis. Not only that, the more charismatic the leader is, the further people will allow themselves to be led down a path that they would normally rebel against.
Hence, the Keynesian theories that Hitler introduced to a desperate population not only served to jolt Germany’s economy into recovery, it also served to make the Germans dependent on the government for their welfare and by extension then, on Hitler himself. He became their savior when in fact, he was their greatest doom.
There is no better time to introduce seismic shifts in a nation’s identity than during an economic crisis, if you are the right kind of despot. In the years before the French Revolution, Necker borrowed and Calonne spent to combat the crisis caused by France’s financing of the American Revolution. This led to a deepening of the crisis and eventual overthrow of the government. In 1917 in Tsarist Russia, the Bolsheviks used the economic crisis to overthrow the government and Lenin rose to power amidst the flames. Over and over throughout history we see the same pattern playing itself out; in the midst of crisis, the crazies take over the nuthouse.
We stand on a treacherous precipice here in America today. Had you been able to ask a German prior to Hitler’s rise to power if Germany was capable of the Final Solution, do you think that they would have laughed you to scorn? Do we see that it was not a monstrous sub-class of people who carried out the orders of the Reich but rather normal people who were living their normal lives and were carried away into madness in degrees by a man who understood that times of crisis were perfect opportunities for major reform? The story of the Russian Revolution carries with it the exact same lessons that we fail to see. It was economic crisis that lent itself to the ascent of the Communist party and to the deaths of multiplied millions of Russians at the hands of that regime.
When good people relinquish the power of the free market, the power that rests in the hands of the individual, and look to a charismatic figure for help, disaster is right around the corner. It is nothing new that is happening in the world today, my friends. It is the same thing that has been happening since the dawn of time; it takes a crisis to enthrone a monster and I fear that something wicked this way comes.

"It is freedom itself that still hangs in the balance, and freedom is never more than one generation from extinction.” —Ronald Reagan
Socialism is defined as “a theory or system of social reform which contemplates a complete reconstruction of society, with a more just and equitable distribution of property and labor.” It is an economic system based on state ownership of capital. We were warned aplenty during the elections but due to our understandable reluctance to take anything said by a politician seriously, we blew most of it off. Now we find ourselves in an absolutely crazy period of time when the sitting administration is using the circumstances surrounding the economic crisis to full advantage in order to bring about a bona fide Socialist revolution in our nation. Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel said that the current economic crisis was “an opportunity for major reform.” Emanuel said, that “you never want a serious crisis to go to waste.” And they are certainly not letting this one go to waste, are they?
We are witnessing the Obama administration’s Marxist goals quickly fall into place including the nationalization of our banks, the banning of firearms, the funding of Democrat party grass roots groups with public money, the punishment of the successful and the redistribution of their wealth to the unsuccessful, the strengthening of the welfare state, the killing of the unborn, the dissolution of sovereign state rights in the name of the “Rights of the Child”, the abandonment of Israel and funding of Hamas, the refusal to use the words terrorist by the Director of Homeland Security, the banning of Christian speech and Bible study on college campuses, the carbon tax that may increase your monthly utility costs by hundreds and hundreds of dollars, the REPEAL of charitable donations for anyone making over $250,000 a year. and the destruction of our economy in the name of fairness.
I want you to consider something. Obama said “I believe that the Constitution confers an individual right to bear arms. But just because you have an individual right does not mean that the state or local government can’t constrain the exercise of that right.” Now, considering that he was talking about the Right to Bear Arms, isn’t it reasonable to apply his statement to all of the other rights given to us in the Declaration of Independene and the Bill of Rights? That would read something like this: “Just because you have an individual right to (free speech, unlawful search and seizure, life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, religion, press, assembly, petition, due process, double jeopardy, self-incrimination, eminent domain) does not mean that the state or local government can’t constrain the exercise of that right.” Are you scared yet?
At this moment the current administration is quickly driving America into a Socialist agenda. They claim that they have a mandate from the masses to do this. However, B. Hussein Obama ran his race as a moderate, not a leftist liberal. He duped the American public into seeing him as something that he most assuredly was not. He has tripled the deficit in one month, has spent more in that month than was spent on government in this nation from our founding until his Inaugeration. Spending has never, NEVER, overturned a recession, friends. Tax cuts have been the solution across the board. We are allowing this administration to spend us into a depression, until we all will have to crawl to the teet of the great mother pig to be suckled or starve to death.
Karl Marx described in his communist manifesto, the ten steps necessary to destroy a free enterprise system and replace it with a system of omnipotent government power, so as to effect a communist socialist state. Look at the The Ten Planks of Communism and then decide which ones are already in place and which ones have no chance of happening here in the greatest nation on Earth.
1. Abolition of private property and the application of all rents of land to public purposes.
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.
4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.
6. Centralization of the means of communications and transportation in the hands of the State.
7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the state, the bringing into cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
8. Equal liability of all to labor. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries, gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equitable distribution of population over the country.
10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children’s factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production.
“Religion is the impotence of the human mind to deal with occurrences it cannot understand” Karl Marx
“From each, according to his ability; to each, according to his need” Karl Marx
“Workers of the world unite; you have nothing to lose but your chains.” Karl Marx
“The press is our chief ideological weapon.” Nikita Khrushchev
“We can’t expect the American People to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have Communism.”

A United Nations human rights treaty that could prohibit children from being spanked or homeschooled, ban youngsters from facing the death penalty and forbid parents from deciding their families’ religion is on America’s doorstep, a legal expert warns.
Michael Farris of Purcellville, Va., is president of ParentalRights.org, chairman of the Home School Legal Defense Association and chancellor of Patrick Henry College. He told WND that under the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child, or CRC, every decision a parent makes can be reviewed by the government to determine whether it is in the child’s best interest.
“It’s definitely on our doorstep,” he said. “The left wants to make the Obama-Clinton era permanent. Treaties are a way to make it as permanent as stuff gets. It is very difficult to extract yourself from a treaty once you begin it. If they can put all of their left-wing socialist policies into treaty form, we’re stuck with it even if they lose the next election.”
The 1990s-era document was ratified quickly by 193 nations worldwide, but not the United States or Somalia. In Somalia, there was then no recognized government to do the formal recognition, and in the United States there’s been opposition to its power. Countries that ratify the treaty are bound to it by international law.
Although signed by Madeleine Albright, U.S. ambassador to the U.N., on Feb. 16, 1995, the U.S. Senate never ratified the treaty, largely because of conservatives’ efforts to point out it would create that list of rights which primarily would be enforced against parents. The international treaty creates specific civil, economic, social, cultural and even economic rights for every child and states that “the best interests of the child shall be a primary consideration.” It is monitored by the CRC, which conceivably has enforcement powers. According to the Parental Rights website, the substance of the CRC dictates the following:
*Parents would no longer be able to administer reasonable spankings to their children.
* A murderer aged 17 years, 11 months and 29 days at the time of his crime could no longer be sentenced to life in prison.
*Children would have the ability to choose their own religion while parents would only have the authority to give their children advice about religion.
*The best interest of the child principle would give the government the ability to override every decision made by every parent if a government worker disagreed with the parent’s decision.
*A child’s “right to be heard” would allow him (or her) to seek governmental review of every parental decision with which the child disagreed.
*According to existing interpretation, it would be illegal for a nation to spend more on national defense than it does on children’s welfare.
*Children would acquire a legally enforceable right to leisure.
*Teaching children about Christianity in schools has been held to be out of compliance with the CRC.
*Allowing parents to opt their children out of sex education has been held to be out of compliance with the CRC.
*Children would have the right to reproductive health information and services, including abortions, without parental knowledge or consent.
“Where the child has a right fulfilled by the government, the responsibilities shift from parents to the government,” Farris said. “The implications of all this shifting of responsibilities is that parents no longer have the traditional roles of either being responsible for their children or having the right to direct their children.”
The government would decide what is in the best interest of a children in every case, and the CRC would be considered superior to state laws, Farris said. Parents could be treated like criminals for making every-day decisions about their children’s lives.
“If you think your child shouldn’t go to the prom because their grades were low, the U.N. Convention gives that power to the government to review your decision and decide if it thinks that’s what’s best for your child,” he said. “If you think that your children are too young to have a Facebook account, which interferes with the right of communication, the U.N. gets to determine whether or not your decision is in the best interest of the child.”
He continued, “If you think your child should go to church three times a week, but the child wants to go to church once a week, the government gets to decide what it thinks is in the best interest of the children on the frequency of church attendance.”
He said American social workers would be the ones responsible for implementation of the policies.
Farris said it could be easier for President Obama to push for ratification of the treaty than it was for the Clinton administration because “the political world has changed.”
At a Walden University presidential debate last October, Obama indicated he may take action.
“It’s embarrassing to find ourselves in the company of Somalia, a lawless land,” Obama said. “I will review this and other treaties to ensure the United States resumes its global leadership in human rights.” Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been a strong supporter of the CRC, and she now has direct control over the treaty’s submission to the Senate for ratification. The process requires a two-thirds vote. Farris said Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., claimed in a private meeting just before Christmas that the treaty would be ratified within two years.
In November, a group of three dozen senior foreign policy figures urged Obama to strengthen U.S. relations with the U.N. Among other things, they asked the president to push for Senate approval of treaties that have been signed by the U.S. but not ratified.
Partnership for a Secure America Director Matthew Rojansky helped draft the statement. He said the treaty commands strong support and is likely to be acted on quickly, according to an Inter Press Service report.
While he said ratification is certain to come up, Farris said advocates of the treaty will face fierce opposition.
“I think it is going to be the battle of their lifetime,” he said. “There’s not enough political capital in Washington, D.C., to pass this treaty. We will defeat it.”

Hey there all.
Around two weeks ago during the worship time at VFC in Platteville, I had an open vision. Now, I don’t get them regularly, in fact they are few and far between. But this night I did and though it was very quick, it has stuck with me.
I saw a field of crops, it looked like cotton or something that you have to bend down to pick. And there were all of these Americans in the towns surrounding the fields and none of them wanted to go and work for the low wages or in the labor-intensive environment. And I saw tons of immigrants crossing the border and fighting each other for this work that no one else wanted.
I was sitting there after this short vision and wondering what the heck that was about, it made no sense and was way too forceful to have just been my imagination. Then I saw the truth of the thing; we as American Christians have been unwilling for the most part to go into the harvest fields and do the work. We are happy that the work is being done, for sure. But we just don’t much care to get our hands dirty.
And so God is raising up a group of people who are grateful for the work. They will work long hours with little to no pay, they will get out there in the fields where the people are and do the work of the Kingdom.
They aren’t the elite of society, they are the dregs, the outcasts, those who fly under the radar of most people.
To this end, we are busy doing rural missions here in Wisconsin. We have two churches as of now, one in Darlington and one in Platteville. Neither is terribly large but that’s the thing with rural ministry; the goals must be different than urban ministry. We felt led of the Lord to begin to plant and so tonight we have our very first service in Belleville, WI, about an hour from where we live.
You see, we may not be able to get 3,000 people into one of these small churches but if we found a base and then use it as a hub, we can plant churches in a one hour radius of the central location and get many more people. In essence, rural ministry should be many churches whose total members equal a large number as opposed to urban ministry where one single location can be very large.
Our new ministry association has been founded which is called the Vintage Faith Centers of America. The new church in Belleville will be the third church under this covering and God willing, we will have many, many more in the near future. This year we will found The Crucible Ministry Training Center and the graduates will have the opportunity to help us plant new works near the hub and also to take over chapters when it becomes too much for me.
This isn’t easy work, the rural seeting doesn’t throw money at you. You will earn what you have by the sweat of your brow, just like the farmers do in the natural. For them, it is 16 hour days and you see no fruit until the harvest. It takes men and women of resolve to bend their back and work these fields. But the harvest is there for those who are willing to do the work.
Keep praying for us, friends.

Note: As I have been very clear on during and after the recent election, Ibelieve that the President deserves our respect and cooperation all of the way up until he shows disdain for God’s law. At that point, it must be a matter of conscience for us as Christians to take the position of non-cooperation and non-support. Our allegiance is to the Kingdom of God first and foremost, always.
Obama has, within his first week in office, shown disdain for the sanctity of life and we as believers should be shamed if we were so selfish as to vote for him. May none of us show any allegiance to this administration and may all of our prayers be directed to 2012 and a landslide victory for a Conservative candidate as well as prayers blocking the success of any of the Obama administration’s plans. Regardless of how highly the man thinks of himself and despite the rank stupidity of a vast segment of the American population, he is not greater than God nor is he beyond the effectual prayer of righteous men and women.
God have mercy on this country and know that this is not the heart of the American people.
J.***************************************************** WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama plans to sign an executive order ending the ban on federal funds for international groups that promote or perform abortions, officials told The Associated Press on Friday. The move, long expected in the Democratic president’s first week in office, will be welcomed by liberals and criticized by abortion rights foes. The policy bans U.S. taxpayer money, usually in the form of U.S. Agency for International Development funds, from going to international family planning groups that either offer abortions or provide information, counseling or referrals about abortion. It is also known as the “global gag rule,” because it prohibits taxpayer funding for groups that even talk about abortion if there is an unplanned pregnancy. Also known as the “Mexico City policy,” it has been reinstated and then reversed by Republican and Democratic presidents since GOP President Ronald Reagan established it in 1984. President Bill Clinton ended the ban in 1993, but President George W. Bush re-instituted it in 2001 as one of his first acts in office. The Democratic official and senior U.S. official who disclosed the plans did so on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to pre-empt Obama’s announcement. Obama was expected to sign the executive order at a low-key event, one day after the 36th anniversary of the landmark Supreme Court ruling in Roe v. Wade that legalized abortion. The move was not a surprise as both Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, who will oversee foreign aid, had promised to do away with the gag rule during the presidential campaign. Clinton is to visit the U.S. Agency for International Development, through which much U.S. foreign aid is disbursed, later on Friday. Obama has spent his first days in office systematically signing executive orders reversing Bush administration policies on issues ranging from foreign policy to government operations. But, save for ending the ban, Obama has largely refrained from wading into ideological issues, perhaps to avoid being tagged a traditional partisan from the outset after his campaign promises to change “business as usual” in the often partisan-gridlocked capital. Rather, Obama has chosen to focus initially on issues in which there is consensus across the political spectrum and support from the public, such as closing the prison camp for suspected terrorists at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to making government documents more accessible. Organizations that had pressed Obama to make the abortion-ban change were jubilant. “Women’s health has been severely impacted by the cutoff of assistance. President Obama’s actions will help reduce the number of unintended pregnancies, abortions and women dying from high-risk pregnancies because they don’t have access to family planning,” said Tod Preston, a spokesman for Population Action International, an advocacy group. ************************************************************ Also, I want you ALL to take note of President B. Hussein Obama’s “commitment to Isreal” that we heard so much about in the last stages of the election:Obama himself, in his remarks, signaled strongly that his approach to the Mideast would immediately move from unswerving and unquestioning support of Israel, as seen in the last eight years, to more of a broker’s role. While making the requisite commitment to Israel’s security—and its right to respond to rocket fire from Gaza—he also said it was unacceptable to permit “a future without hope for the Palestinians.” He called for an immediate opening of the Gaza border, which must have come to a surprise to those Israelis lulled to sleep by Bush’s permanent endorsement of Israel’s every action over the last eight years. Hey all, feeling strongly led of the Lord to hit the road as much as possible during January and February. We have sat still for about 7 months planting churches and we are feeling that God wants us to GO a bit.
So, here's the deal: If you are interested in sponsoring a date or a revival, let me know ASAP. I don't care about group size, church size or offering size. I care about changed lives.
Most of you have listened to the sermons, you know what I preach. But we also operate in sign-gift ministry, particularly healing. Just got a word back that a man (who was Catholic) was healed from Stage 4 colon cancer recently, Praise God! So, if you are interested in an old school healing revival or just some flat-out preaching, shoot me an email.
We do ask for a decent place to stay and a love offering.
Okay, be blessed! J.
