I’m performing two acts at Victory for the Decasia launch party this Friday night. Victory is meant to be an amazing new venue made up to look like a Victorian street. You can even dress up in Victorian clothes if you feel the urge. x

The wonderful Ivy Paige has chosen Alaska for her new troupe, the Paige Girls. We'll be performing in Ivy Paige's SCANDALOUS monthly at Volupte, and at other venues up and down the country. Come along for a brilliant night of cabaret at Ivy's house of whorecraft, featuring stripping, spanking, singing and screeching from Ruby Blue, Roxy Velvet and of course Ivy and the Paige Girls (the Supremes of the burlesque world, if you will.) It's going to be good. First show this Friday, at 6.30 and 9.30pm.

I've just posted some photos of my hats/ fascinators in the Hats for sale album. The photos aren't the best (and I can't figure out how to get them the right way up yet) but the hats ARE. I promise. Wear one, and you'll be picked up at bus stops, photographed for magazines, and ushered to the front of pretentious polysexual club queues. People might even ask if your hat is by Philip Treacy. In my experience.

I can leave the veils long, trim them to size, or leave them off altogether, and they're all available with or without elastic head bands.

Other birds and creatures are available too - dragonflies, blue/greeen butterflies, and owls of all colours.

On Friday night I'll be competing at Battle of the Sexies, Bethnal Green Working Men's Club. Come along from 9 and shout for your favourite (me, obv.) Finalists have to pole dance, so I'm not entirely sure if I actually want to get that far...

On Sunday night I'm performing at a fundraiser for a Cambodian orphanage at Madame Jojos. V worthwhile cause and lots of good acts including the Whoopee Beaux Belles.

Alaska will performing a brand new prom act at the Cream Revue, Bethnal Green Working Men's Club, tonight. Come along in your finest 50s clothes and dance the night away.

I'm compering a night with Decasian Records on 26 January at the Macbeth in Hoxton. I'll also be performing my bird hat act...

I'm performing at the Cabaret and Burlesque meet-up at Punk in Soho on 11 December. Come and see me open my Christmas presents and then get messy in a bake sale double act with Miss La La Lovette.
