In August we held our 4th Ticket to Cruise Event, a cruise to Alaska with The Fab Four. Wow! Did we ever have an awesome time! The Fab Four performed three wonderful shows exclusively for the 140+ passengers in our group. The weather was unbelievably warm and sunny... the Alaska landscape was stunningly beautiful... the Norwegian Pearl was fabulous.... It just doesn't get any better than that!

The first Fab Four show portrayed the early Beatles. The second show was dedicated to the Sgt. Pepper era. The third show was all about the Beatles later years. In all three shows the band played a mix of popular Beatles hits and crowd-pleasing "B" sides. It was amazing!

Our Emcee, grammy-winning record producer Rob Christie, hosted a Breakfast with the Beatles music and video hour complete with hot coffee and breakfast pastries. Rob's knowledge of the Beatles past and present made for a fun, informative and splendid time for all. Rob also hosted Beatles Jeopardy, Fab Four Feud, The Match Game, Bowling for Beatles, the Costume Event and the Charity Auction.

The weather was great... mostly in the 70's and 80's. When my sister Bobbi and I went horseback riding and canoeing in the Yukon, we wished we had worn shorts and tank tops... it was that warm! The pristine wilderness of the region with its jagged mountain peaks; 25-story-high Ice Age glaciers; rushing rivers; crystal clear lakes and streams were sure to awaken all your senses. Just breathing in the fresh Alaska air would clear your head in an instant!

The Alaska wildlife showed up like you wouldn't believe and I don't mean just at the Red Dog Saloon in Juneau! From the ship passengers saw humpback whales, schools of dolphin, adorable sea otters and barking seals. On land we saw eagles perching in the trees, salmon swimming upstream and big black bears crossing the road right in front of our mini bus! It was a constant photo op.

Our group members went on all kinds of day adventures, aka "shore excursions." They included dog sledding; helicopter rides with landings on top of the glaciers; train rides; bicycling trips down long and winding roads; river float trips; salmon bakes; panning for gold and more. The Fab Four concerts and events were planned around our times in port so we had plenty of time to do things ashore. We had the best of both worlds.

The Fab Four shows and events... Alaska... the Norwegian Pearl... and the weather were the essential ingredients for our successful Ticket to Cruise 2007. But the frosting on the cake was the group of passengers who sailed with us. These warm, friendly, Beatles-loving people made this trip an experience of a lifetime. For a week we were one fab family... and it just doesn't get any better than that.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Deposit and Payment: A $250.00 per person cruise deposit is required at the time of booking. Final payment is due on or before May 19, 2007. Payments may be made by credit card or check.

Ticket to Cruise Registration Fee: A $350 registration fee is due along with your deposit. This may be paid by check only, payable to Cruises Cruises Cruises. Please fill out the Registration Form and send it along with your check.

Proof of Citizenship: Each passenger must bring proper proof of citizenship. U.S. citizens must bring either a valid passport or a birth certificate (an original or certified copy) along with a government issued photo I.D. such as a drivers license. Anyone without proper proof of citizenship will be denied boarding and cancellation penalties will apply.

Pre-Registration for Your Cruise: After booking your cruise you will receive a booking number. Please go to www.ncl.com Fill out the cruise passenger registration form. Completion of this form will facilitate your check in at the pier.

Service Charge: NCL will charge a Service Charge $10 per person per day to your onboard account for gratuities for your cabin steward and dining room stewards.

Where to Board the Ship: The Norwegian Pearl will be docked at the Cruise Ship Terminal in Seattle. More details to follow. Parking is available for approximately $12 per day.
