Head on over to the official Tesseract Myspace and see exclusive Splatter Movie: The Director's Cut footage in the brand new Amy Lee Parker video blog. As usual, this is just a quick tease, building on the storyline in the movie - just a few little snippets of behind-the-scenes stuff that has been shot over the last few weeks. And, as usual, the Tesseract page is the ONLY place you can see this footage, so you'll have to join and be a friend!

Big update coming soon - keep checking back here!

We're this much closer to wrapping Splatter Movie: The Director's Cut, thanks to the amazing participation of Tiffany Warren Yarborough, Ashley Nemit and Sofiya Smirnova.

We shot several major sequences for the film, including a sexy scene with the aforementioned Tiffany and Ashley. Special props go to Ashley for stepping in at the very last minute following our very first no-show. An actress originally cast in Ashley's part decided at the last minute she couldn't make it (and didn't tell us - marking the very first time this has ever happened to Happy Cloud Pictures in ten years!). But Ashley was a trooper and stepped in to deliver a tour-de-force performance perfectly matching Tiffany in rhythm and mood. And, ultimately, bloodiness.

Sofiya spent the bulk of her time on set completely drenched in blood as you can see from the photos (in the folder marked "Third Weekend"). Sofiya plays "Sofiya", the star of the movie-within-the-movie "Tesseract". According to that movie's synopsis, Sofiya is "Tesseract"'s survivor girl, hence the screaming and weaponry. It's also implied that she's "Splatter Movie"'s survivor girl, which is the movie being made in "Tesseract". And don't think we didn't have to make another flow chart mapping that out.

The schedule for this coming weekend will actually include some pick-up shots for last weekend. Thanks to the 90-degree heat and the thrown-off schedule due to our no-show, we didn't get everything completed the way we'd hoped. Not a big deal - the gore-hounds among you will be happy to hear that most of the pick-ups involve additional violence and mayhem. Lucky you guys!

We reconvene at the Hundred Acres Manor on July 14 with Elske McCain and Rachelle Williams, where they will play hot, sweaty horror veterans Elsie Romney and Lana Bachman, who deal with the long hours, the exploitation and the lurking serial killer known as "Grendel". We also do terrible things to a grip named Darryl, played by long time Happy Cloud Pictures family guy Bill Hahner. Look for more details as they come.

Also, there should be a new Amy Lee Parker video blog coming soon on the Tesseract Myspace Page. We'll keep you posted there as well!

Just got back from the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors in Secaucus, NJ - it was a fun weekend but extremely tiring. We showed a number of people the sneak peek of the new footage and the response was overwhelming. We should have taken pictures of the faces of the people watching!

In other news, Splatter Movie: The Director's Cut has it's own home on the Ever-Reliable Internet Movie Database. Not sure why the cast is in the order that it is and hopefully it'll be fixed soon, but it's neat to see it up there and all official-looking.

Shooting this coming weekend with Sofiya Smirnova and Tiffany Warren. Fun times will be had by all. Or, merely most.

New pictures from this past weekend have been posted in our PICS section. The images you see will disturb you, haunt your dreams, perhaps alter your perception of reality forever! Mostly, they'll confuse you because they're out of context. We like it that way.

We shot two major sequences this past weekend - one that sets up the "Grendel" identity and one where Grendel has some fun with something more commonly associated with a lumberjack (hint: it's not a lederhosen). For this latter sequence, we used about two gallons of blood. Which is known on the Happy Cloud universe as "a good start".

(Speaking of lumberjacks, lead make-up artist lady Lorena Cintron finally got the only two shades of lipstick our male actors agree to wear: the first is "Lumberjack", naturally; the second is "Rent Boy". )

Special thanks go out to our effects team Eric Molinaris (fx supervisor), Scott, Brandon, Luke and Jimmy. Also thanks to Don Bumgarner for acting and doing make-up, Matt Gilligan (who designed all of our logos), 2nd Camera Jon Wamsley, PA Dan, Carolyn for making lunch and yelling (she's our A.D. after all), exec prod. Fred Obermiller for stepping in to play Grendel in one crucial scene and DP Jeff Waltrowski for toughing out the first scene through a violent asthma attack. Also to Tom Strong for these words after surveying the lake of blood our scene left behind: "We don't open until October. This should be gone by then."

A new VIDEO BLOG should be up soon over at the "Tesseract" Myspace page. Keep checking back. Next shoot commences the weekend of July 7-8 with Tiffany Warren Yarbrough and Sofiya Smirnova - more blood, action, adventure, mystery, intrigue and, yes, a little romance.

FINALLY, though Fangoria never put them up on the set, Amy and Mike will be appearing at the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors in Secaucus, New Jersey, this coming weekend (June 29-30 and July 1). So all of you eager to see Splatter Movie footage should print out the ticket below and present it at the Happy Cloud Pictures table for a free sneak peek. This footage WILL NOT be available to the general public, so this is your secret knock (the password is "Walt Sent Me").

Again, this is the ONLY way to see this new footage, so print, cut, present and enjoy!
