Hi all--

We have a 20-person $5 list for Tuesday's show at the Echo--the first 20 people who contact us with their name(s) can get in for $5 instead of $8.  We go on early (9pm), it's our first time at the Echo, and we're going to put on a fun fun fun show!  Our only show of the month, in fact!

So yes, please send us your names--you can reach us at:
cobralilies (at) themonolators (dot) com or via myspace.

Thanks!  We'd love to see you there!

We Cobra Lilies have an exciting show coming up at the Echo this coming Tuesday (the 20th). We go on early, at 9pm, as is the Cobra Lilies way. This is CL's first time playing the Echo and we are excited that there will be enough room for our shenanigans. 18+, so almost all-ages.

We are opening for Cincinnati's dance-rock cuties Bad Veins and their tourmates The Subjects. Interestingly The Subjects apparently have a member named "Cobra." What will happen when Cobra meets the Lilies? We shall see! The show is $8 but my understanding is that there will be a discount list--stay tuned about that.

Hello hello hello!

A lot of things are happening this weekend!

On this Friday (the 18th), Cobra Lilies will play one of the greatest live radio shows of all time, anywhere--Demolisten on KXLU! The show starts at 6pm PST and (if you don't happen to be on the west side of Los Angeles) you can either listen online at www.kxlu.com or you can WATCH the show via the magic of KXLU's Stickam stream. We will play the four songs from our EP, "In The Key Of Bicycle Bell," plus (time allowing) two more rousing selections. Be there! Or kittens will weep!

On Saturday the 19th (IE the very next day) we will celebrate the release of said EP with a show at the Highland Park American Legion Hall! The show starts at 9pm and features performances by Tommy Santee Klaws, Amanda Jo Williams and Moses Campbell---AND there will be a FASHION SHOW. You heard me. A fashion show involving clothes! Not just any fashion show. It is a COBRA LILIES FASHION SHOW! How can you go wrong? Answer=you cannot. Only 5 bucks!!!

PS, if you haven't seen the pictures--we're releasing the EP on a one-sided, 12" 45 rpm record on white vinyl with art hand-silkscreened on the blank side. It looks SWEET AS HELL. I kid you not. We're asking $10 for one of these little dumplings.

FLYER-FLYER-O! SEE YOU THERE MY SWEET CUPCAKES!

Love,
Cobra Lilies!

Hello dear!

It's me. You know.
Don't you remember? The rubber raft? The Kiss Of Life? The seaweed in your hair? The seaweed EVERYWHERE? No?

Hmmm.

Well.

We should talk. Yes, now.
RIGHT NOW! DON'T CALL ME RETARDED! I KNOW WHAT'S WHAT, YOU YOU YOU YOU HALFWIT! *SOB*

Yes. That's SO much better, thank you. I stuck my tongue on a battery and it's like a little salty reset button for your brain! Everything is clear now! Like crystal.

So, yes. Cobra Lilies are playing a fun old show this coming tuesday! At Mr. T's Bowl. It's with this guy from New York, Lance Romance, and Eli Lily may or may not sit in with Lance's band. Not sure yet. And also with this fellow Featherbeard, who, yes, actually wears a beard of feathers when he plays. We saw him do this at KXLU.
It's true!

So we'd like to see you there! That's all. I need another little reset now.
