THESE GREEN EYES - PARAMEDIC LIVE MUSIC VIDEO

Thursday, March 26, 2009

Sometimes you guys are buying them faster than they can re-stock.  Sometimes they aren't there at all.

If you looked for Relapse To Recovery in a store but couldn't find it, we want to know where you looked!

Can you send us an email to tgertrstores@gmail.com with the following information?

               Name of store

               Location of store

Not only will this help us get our CD on the
shelves, but we might be able to direct you to a store in your area
that has it.

Thanks for your help!

Current mood:  relaxed
Hey everybody, how's it going?

We've been on the road for close to 2 months now with just a few days home on break here and there (mostly due to colin's surgery). Things have been wild and there hasn't been a whole lot of time to sit back, relax and reflect on it all but right now i'm relaxing in my bed in upstate NY for the first time in forever and figured it's a perfect time to send a little update out to you all.

First, let me address the Atticus Tour. Tyler Read and The Classic Crime are some of the best dudes I've had the privilege of being on tour with. We love those guys and their music. I've had a blast every night going on stage and helping Matt from TCC sing the last chorus in their song "The Coldest Heart" and we all (everyone in TGE and Tyler Read) loved getting on stage with them for a big singalong in one of their last songs as well. Unfortunately, although we had hoped to join the rest of the Atticus Tour after A Change Of Pace had to unexpectedly leave the tour, there was some miscommunication with the promoters on the tour dates after the 12/6 show (which was the last show we were originally supposed to be on for the tour) and it didn't work out for us to join up on the rest of the shows. But we wish the best for TR and TCC for the rest of the shows and I can tell you that we are definitely excited about the possibilities of playing shows with either or both of those bands again. Make sure you go check them out and give them love, online or in person if you are near a show on the rest of the tour.

In other news, Chicago was extremely cold. It was like 5 degrees before the wind chill. You know how you drive by like a bank or something and they have those big digital signs outside that say the time and the temperature? I never really thought about how awkward it'd be to just see "5" and the little circle (for degrees) on there. Brrrrrr. We hit some pretty gnarly snowstorms a couple nights that we had to drive through the night to make it to the next show. The Classic Crime spun a 180 one of the nights on the highway but thankfully they were all ok and didn't wreck. We were fortunate enough to not have the slightest mishap on the road so that is a good thing.

So right now, as much as it sucks to not be playing in Virginia tonight with our friends, I guess I am glad to have a moment to decompress and relax. I had to fly home to Albany NY from Cleveland last night to make it to my sister's graduation ceremony (she just finished college!) and my flight left at 7am, so I had been up since 5am yesterday when I finally went to sleep, and I hardly slept the night before because it took forever driving to my friend's place through the snow in cleveland. But it was very worth it to be able to be there to see my sister cross the stage and to celebrate her accomplishment with her. Congrats Laura!!

I'm very excited for Christmas, it's my favorite holiday and even though I wish I was on the Atticus Tour i'm excited that i'll actually be home to help decorate the tree with my family this year. I wish i had a little money so I could buy gifts for everyone but it's not looking good this year, haha. You should help my bandmates and I out and check out the webstore on our myspace page, maybe pick up a tee shirt and an EP for a friend for the holidays or something? =)

So that's about it from me for now, we have two amazing shows coming up next week in Wilmington, DE with Houston Calls and Just Surrender and in Northampton MA with our good friends in Us Against The Archers so if you're near either of those two areas, make sure you come out so you don't miss a good time. I'll talk to you all soon!

Current mood:  tired
Hey everybody!

so we just played our third show on the Atticus "Walk The Plank" Tour and i figured it was time for me to come back up on here and give you all an update!

first off, let me tell you about our Thanksgivin holiday: WOW! What a good time. We stayed with our good friends Linda and Jordan Long in Kansas City, MO. take my word for it: Linda probably makes one of the best turkey / garlic mashed potato combos i've ever had the pleasure of digging into. Jordan is also a damn good photographer and he took some pretty interesting shots for us. you'll see, they're going to rule. Jordan and Linda, thank you so much for having us over the holiday. we love you guys and we'll see you soon! Dane, sorry we didn't get to see you buddy, we'll school you in Madden next time ;p

now on to the Atticus Tour! the past three nights we've had the pleasure of sharing the stage with the bands Tyler Read, A Change Of Pace, and The Classic Crime. all these bands can bring it and, if you live close to one of the upcoming shows, you should treat yourself to a great time and come hang out. Jordan from Tyler Read treated Jeff to a little southern hospitality last night, for some reason they were taking turns punching each other in the face... Jeff was born in Tennesse and Jordan's from Louisiana... it must be a Southern thing.

seriously though, these shows are a great time. everyone's been really cool and there's been a ton of kids at each show. we've made a ton of new friends the past couple of days and we've been getting some pretty funny footage on our video camera... hopefully, we can actually use some of it, hahaha! you'll see, we'll have something up for you really soon.

in other news! some of you may remember the Christmas song we did a couple of years ago... well get ready for a new one! right before we left for tour we recorded a slightly updated version of The Kinks' classic "Father Christmas!" we'll have it up in a quick minute, you're gonna love it!

oh, and just so you know my knee is holding up well so far. i've had a little bit of pain, and physical therapy is probably going to suck, but things are working out so far!

anyway, i promise not to wait so long with the next update. COME OUT TO A SHOW!!!

12.02.08 - Atticus Tour @ The Warehouse in LaCrosse, WI
12.03.08 - Atticus Tour @ Mojo's in Orland Park, IL

12.05.08 - Atticus Tour @ Mac's Bar in Lansing, MI

oh, and CT... we didn't forget you, we've got something up our sleeves for you...

see you soon!
