It is sad to say, but after 10 years as a band, the show at the Ace of Clubs on this Saturday, September 20th will be Exit to Eternity's final performance. Not just for the year, but forever. We have finally decided to put this band to rest.

Words cannot begin to describe how incredible this journey has been. We started this band around the summer of 1998, as a bunch of teenagers wanting to cover our favorite songs by our favorite bands. Playing covers turned into writing original music, and before long we started hitting the local scene. These were the best years of our lives. Being able to open for bands like Testament, Symphony X, Arch Enemy, Overkill, Exodus, Superjoint Ritual, Kreator, Destruction, Biohazard, and Angra, just to name a few, were some of the most incredible experiences imaginable.

Although we did not fully achieve what we set out to accomplish with this band, it was you, the fans, that made this a dream come true. We love playing music, and to have all of you accept and appreciate what we were doing was just completely unbelievable. With the utmost sincerity possible, we want to say thank you to all of the fans, the bands we have met from around the country, the people we have had the honor of playing with in this band throughout the years, and the friends we have made throughout the years. You all know who you are. You have all touched our hearts in a way you will never know, and we appreciate having met all of you.

 So, what of the future? Dmitriy and I are planning to start a new project together within the next few months. We will be looking for other musicians to play with, and when the opportunity is right we will spread the word through ETE's myspace for anyone interested. We also hope to post a ton of live ETE videos on Youtube that we have had lying around for years. It is some of the stuff we are most proud of. We will keep you posted on that as well.

We hope to see a lot of familiar faces at the Ace of Clubs this weekend. Although we only have a 45 minute set, we promise to pump out every ounce of energy we have for you all,  one last time. Thank you all again, we love you!

A big thanks from Exit to Eternity to everyone at Ride for Dime Philadelphia, especially Jilly and Joe, RFD Philly Pres!  The Philly scene is one of the most welcoming crowds we've ever played for and we can't wait to come back and bang some heads with you again.  It was an honor and a pleasure playing this festival in Dimebag Darrell's name and for the Little Kids Rock foundation.  It's amazing to see how one man touched so many lives with his music and his huge heart.  Thanks again for everything.  We hope to have photos soon!
