Narrow roads made pulling the trailer a very tense trip! In the midst of Mostly good, very little bad and a teeny bit of Ugly, it was an adventurous trip filled with lots of beauty! We didn't dare celebrate until we got home. It was a great trip, pulling the trailer was a real adventure! We are home! Yeah Come visit!

Since our move to Mexico in Sept. 2008, we travelled back to Georgia in Nov 08 to see  our son off to Iraq.  It is his 2nd tour. We were also waiting for the title to the SUV to arrive so we could take it along with a trailer to Mx.  Since it didn't arrive, we went back to Mx in Jan 09.   Now I (Armymom) am back in DFW and the title finally came in!   Yeah!!!  or should I say VAMANOS!  We have been waiting for this day for MONTHS AND I mean MONTHS! As soon as we know when we will be driving back to Mx, we will get the Permit and be
G O N E   S O U T H!

www.operationsupportourtroops.net has just added t-shirts, caps, art, totes and magnets to their website. All money collected from these sales goes directly to the 36th ID Family Readiness Group. I would really like all my friends to purchase at least one item to show our support for these civilian soldiers and their families that are on their 2nd or even 3rd tour in Iraq

As many of you may have discovered, Joe King Carrasco currently has 3 Music Pages on Myspace and you may be wondering, which one is official or why doesn't Joe answer my Myspace Messages?.

All of them are official but:

You will notice that he has not signed on to first and oldest page since 2006. Why, well he suffers from CRS (Can't Remember Shit) sometimes and I am very sure he has no idea what his ID and password is for this site.

The next one is rather recent and I often login and accept new friends, update the play dates, delete SPAM comments ... but I do not read or answer his message and quite frankly he is terrible about logging in and doing it himself. If you want to send him a message your better off using the Contact Joe King option at www.joeking.com where he does check his emails. However, he gets tons of them so ya gotta be patient. I just got a reply from a note I sent him in Dec last year and I am not sure why he even responded since we talked about it over the phone. Oh ya I know why (CSR) I may have a touch of that myself :)

The third page is a new one that I have no access to, so I am not sure how that one will go. I am still waiting for my friend request to be accepted there.

I am trying to encourage him to scale down to a single page but he has alot going on  with a new movie & new album he is trying to release, playing an almost nightly basis in Puerto Vallarta, me bugging him about Lizard Joes, updateing his main web site www.joeking.com  ... the man never stops but thats what we love about him, his high positive energy, his compassion and enthusiasm for art, people and his dogs  ... Eventually he will get around to the clean up I'm sure but his priorities are not ours and personnally I'd rather get a new music so maybe our priorities are similar hmmmmmm

Saludos

Current mood:  contemplative

So here is my perspective, I know our troops personnally. I greet them on a regular basis when they come home for R&R and I give them a handshake, free cigs, cigars, matches, mints or gum,. as well as make sure they get on the right that bus that will take them to thier connecting flight home.

I know them as sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, even grandmothers and grandfathers. Many of these folks coming back will have nightmares for the rest of their lives, they are lonely, they are worried, ... and if my handshake or show of support can help them cope just a little bit, then it's my honor to do so.

See how you can support our troops at www.operationsupportourtroops.net .

Supporting others is addictive and rewarding, give it a try

Lizard Joe's is off the beaten path but has all the comforts of home. It has many ecological attactions (flamingo colonies and tons of other bird species found nowhere else), is close to Mayan Ruin, 45 minutes from Meridia featuring museums, fancy restaurants, golf courses, ... Lizard Joe's has a mini kitchen in each room, high-speed internet, TV, DVD player, A/C .... Tell us what kind of amenities you look for in a hotel.

Lizard Joe's specializes in Texas BBQ (Brisket, Pulled Pork and Ribs). Our sides include spicy fries, potato salad, armadillo eggs (stuffed jalapeno), corn on the cob, spicy pinto beans and homemade beer batter or corn bread. What do you look for at your favorite BBQ restaurant?
