Hello friends!

We know this update is a long time coming. Time has been flying by lately so we apologize for our lack of feeding you info aside from upcoming live shows. In late September we completed the Florida Blackout Mini Tour which consisted of five gorgeous days in the Sunshine State. Florida treated us like royalty on the Tropical Nights Tour so we were a little more than excited to get back down there. We got to hit a couple of the same venues we had played the first time through, got to hang out with a lot of familiar fans and even got to play with some familiar bands. Our travels took us to the Atlantic and Gulf sides of the state, we saw some much needed ocean views, got some new ink work and best of all saw us win a monster sno-cone challenge in St. Petersburg where we dominated a 52 oz. sno-cone in 7.5 minutes landing us the Monster Challenge record at Beach Sno Balls! Be sure to check out pics from the tour.

We'll be doing our 2nd annual Halloween Costume Bash at Ten Mile House in St. Louis on Halloween night. We encourage everyone to come in costume and get crazy with us. We have a six night run through Missouri running November 13-18 that we're gearing up for then we have our 2009 year end show at Firebird in St. Louis on December 19. This one will be with our good buddies The Upright Animals and Red Card Royale and one other band TBA. The next tour we are currently planning will be a 2 week Midwest tour in late January/early February of 2010. A couple dates have been booked and listed on our schedule, we will be officially announcing dates and cities in the next week or so.

We have also been hard at work on new music for our next release. There are no plans yet for hitting the studio as we are still hard at work on these new tunes but believe us when we say that the new stuff is a lot of fun and we know you're going to enjoy it.

Finally, we'd like to let you know that Science Hill is seeking a new record label and new management. We are still under EliteROCK Records and they are still handling our distribution but the head of the label is dealing with some personal health issues right now and that of course needs to be his number 1 priority. So in regards to any booking, media and management concerns we ask that you please contact Science Hill directly from now on at sciencehill@eliterockrecords.com. Additionally if you are with a label or management firm we also want to hear from you.

We hope everyone is well and we look forward to seeing all of you very soon on the upcoming tour dates! Have a happy and safe Halloween and remember, Science Hill loves you!

First of all, we hope all the dads out there had an awesome Father's Day. We know we've been kind of quiet since we got back from tour. So, what have we been up to since we got done conquering the U.S.? Mainly we have been holed up in Dave's and Chris's garage churning out new material for the next album. Some of the tunes you guys have heard and others are brand spankin' new. The songs are sounding really cool. We've been experimenting with new sounds, new gear, new styles and new genres and the result is so much greater than we expected. Granted we've only knocked out about 6 or 7 new songs but we're super stoked about what's to come.

We have two shows scheduled for July and then our schedule gets back in full swing in August. September is a very exciting month for us. To start off, we have been invited to partake in An Undercover Weekend at The Firebird in St. Louis on September 4. This is the event's 3rd year. Basically there are 3 or 4 bands per night and each band will be covering an entire set of tunes from an artist of their choosing. Who are we covering? Well we can't tell you until the week of the show so you'll just have to have patience. The day after that we head to Warrenton, MO to play the Rock For Hope festival to benefit Cardinal Glennon Childrens' Hospital and children with cancer. Then we get to head back to Florida for the two week Florida Blackout Tour 2009. So that's where we stand. We hope everyone is well, we'll see you all soon!

2 1/2 months, 18 states, 40+ shows, 9 cases of Red Bull and god knows how many 30 packs of Keystone and 40's of shitass beer later, the Tropical Nights & Romance Tour is officially DONE! We would like to thank all of the venues and cities that welcomed us, all of the awesome folks we met along the way and everyone who let us crash with them or helped us out in one way or another. California treated us wonderfully a couple weeks ago. Los Angeles was crazy. We made new friends with Duality who is a great prog-rock band. The only downfall of Cali was Cafe Boogaloo in Hermosa Beach. After watching us load in and start to set up, the owner (Gary) told us to pack our shit and get out for no reason whatsoever. Please feel free to go to boogaloo.com and email this jackoff and call him a clown penis. Norman got us from Cali back to the Midwest and we hit Wichita, KS and a few cities in western Missouri including a crazy Cinco De Mayo show in Springfield. That crowd was nuts and showed us a great time. Last night we wrapped up the tour back in our hometown of St. Louis at The Library. We had our STL friends J Boozer and The Upright Animals along with our new buddies Noctaluca from Cincinnati. We packed in nearly 300 crazy fans and the place was out of control all night. It was the perfect end to a wonderful tour. So now we're using this next week of downtime to our advantage before getting back into the swing of rehearsals to continue writing for the next album. We are also planning a music video for "We Could Be Swinging" that we should be shooting this summer. To wrap up, thanks to you all. You guys made this possible and we owe it to you. Thanks and to our Florida friends, we plan on seeing you guys again in September!

By the way, if you're looking for some good tunes, here are the songs that we basically wore out on this trip:

The Jazz Discharge Party Hats - Frank Zappa
Ooh Aah…Just A Little Bit - Gina G
Middle Of Nowhere - Bananarama
It’s A Mistake - Men At Work
Electric Feel - MGMT
St. Elmo’s Fire (Man In Motion) - John Parr
Making Plans For Nigel - XTC
Boom, Like That - Mark Knopfler
Sex And Reruns - Matt Duke
Turn Up The Radio - Jupiter One
Did It In A Minute - Hall & Oates
Copperline - James Taylor
Hurricane Waters - Citizen Cope
Close To You - The Cure
The Goonies 'R' Good Enough - Cyndi Lauper
Let’s Groove Tonight - Earth, Wind & Fire
Say - John Mayer
Walking On A Thin Line - Huey Lewis & The News
Thunder Island - Jay Ferguson
Sex On Fire - Kings Of Leon
I’m Yours - Jason Mraz
Laughter In The Rain - Neil Sedaka
Sinnerman - Nina Simone
So Lonely - The Police
Keep On Hoping - Raul Midon & Jason Mraz
Save The Population - Red Hot Chili Peppers

Anything from Steely Dan
All This Time - Sting
Don’t Lose My Number - Phil Collins

Under The Coconut Tree - The Barefoot Man
Money Or Love (Demo) - Billy Joel

If you don't have these songs, go get them.

So after some minor bus trouble which turned 4 hour drives into 10 hour drives and canceled one show, we are in California finally! This has been the most anticipated part of the tour. Radio has been responding really well to our tunes out here and we’ve had a lot of folks telling us we NEED to get our asses out here. So we’re here. We are super amped about these West Coast shows. This 2nd half of the tour has gone beautifully. Crowds have been amazing and the people we have met have been even cooler. We had a wild night in Cincinnati on April 10. We played Play By Play Café with a great Cincy band called Noctaluca. We are bringing them to STL for our homecoming show on May 9. After the show we ended up partying with our new best friends Jo and her husband Bill. These two are the most awesome people we have met so far. So after they made us drink with them til 6:30am we had to hoof it to Goshen, IN for a show at Sunset Grille. Another great room and great crowd. From there we hit Chicago, Lincoln, NE, Kearney, NE and Denver where we played Quixote’s. Interesting place. It’s nothing but a hippy hangout and none of the staff give two shits that everyone was openly chiefing in there. We got to chill with our man D. Betro for the night where we watched the first season of HBO’s Eastbound & Down. This is easily one of the three funniest shows on TV right now. Danny McBride from Pineapple Express stars in this one. I could explain the premise of it but it’s much better if you just go watch it. Seriously check it out. The drive from Denver to Cali was insane with great views. Go to our Photo section and check them out. We stopped in Vegas to have some fun on Monday night and now we are in San Diego gearing up for a show at Good Hurt in L.A. tonight. It’s nuts but we are almost done with this tour. We have 2 weeks left then we get to see all of our St. Louis friends. See you shortly!

I should tell you that if you have not heard the tune "Electric Feel" by MGMT, you need to find it and listen to it. I don't get all the hype behind this band but god damn, that is a killer song. Well, we have a few days off to recharge our batteries before heading to Cincinnati to continue this beast of a tour. First off, we want to apologize to anyone who showed up to Arlene's Grocery in New York on Thursday expecting to see us play or to those who logged on to musikville.com to catch the show. Apparently the folks at Arlene's have NO clue how to run a venue or deal with bands. Long story short, we had a signed agreement with them in regards to us playing at the venue and when we arrived they chose not to honor the contract. Bands should not let venues walk all over them as if the venue is doing the band a favor by letting them play there. With that in mind and the fact that they weren't going to honor our agreement we decided not to play. Again, we apologize to anyone who showed up expecting to see us. We can assure that we have no intention of ever playing Arlene's Grocery and we advise bands to be aware of the venues attitude towards musicians. On the bright side, our other NYC show at Crash Mansion on Wednesday was amazing! This is a great venue with a great staff who know how to run things. Next time we come through New York this is where we'll be. So basically the first half of the tour is done, we're getting some much needed rest and we head to Cincinnati on the 10th to finish the second half. We are super stoked to be heading to Cali finally and see the west coast. As of now we plan to finish this tour, come home for the summer and continue writing our next album, play some shows around the Midwest and then in late July or August plan another short 2 week tour down to Florida. We are also finalizing a new recording contract with EliteROCK Records that will boost Science Hill to the next level of this game we call the music industry. So stay hooked and we can't wait to see everybody on the 2nd half of the tour!

Hey all, looks like I'll give this one a shot. I'm not sure what day it
is anymore so happy Florida. So far we have made it through beer,
sunshine, catching baby gators while fishing in a canoe (cute little
fuckers!), sleeping in amazing hotels and in Wal-Mart parking lots,
TONS of sand, almost dying on mopeds, idiot mergers, getting groped inappropriately by elderly men (hey Ernie!) colds, coughs, eye gougings,
crying sessions about Dave dropping his frankfurter, the occasional
running down of the battery, finding time to ride our new found long
board, and a major bus bowelblaster. But no worries, we persevere and
we are moving on to entertain the unentertainable. It's been an amazing
journey so far, and we can only hope that we see even more fun times
ahead. We are finding our spot in Jacksonville, FL for the second time
in two weeks. On our way up the coast to maybe check out Hilton Head
Island before moving onto to Raleigh after we replace the busted serpentine belt on the bus. I for one will miss the beaches, but not the fracklin' sand! What band brings a broom on tour with them? That's right, Sc!ence Hill does. Anywho, much love for those who care and support! Peace, love, and Sc!ence H!ll

Yo, Jeff here, checking in from Jacksonville, FL. Week 2 is down and we're moving right along. We had a blast last week, really a great string of shows. Tuesday we hit Central Station's Rock Bar in Orlando and wow, what a great crowd. Speaking of great people, we cannot thank Brandon from BS Promotions enough. Brandon ran sound for us at Central Station and ended up hooking us up with two shows after two got canceled. We owe him quite a bit of gratitude. Wednesday he hooked us up at Little Fish, Huge Pond in Sanford where we did a small acoustic show. Thursday was Backstage Lounge in Gainesville. Cool place, good stage, got a hi-def DVD out of it, we should have some footage up shortly. Friday was Holly & Dolly's in Casselberry, thanks to Brandon again. That was a great gig. Saturday we played Doozer's Pub in Jacksonville. Sketch ass neighborhood! But we had some fun and met some cool folks. We are now shacked up until Thursday. Thanks to Brandon, Mo, Danny Lee, Wargs, Meaghan Anselm, Tyler, Randy and all the other cats we met this week. Talk to you all next week!

Word! This is going to be our spot to update everyone on the tour. It should be updated every Sunday or Monday by one of us. The first week is in the books and things could not be going better. The bus is holding up nicely and we have three friends who flew in for a couple days to be with us. Currently we're in Orlando, Florida catching up on the sleep we lost from yesterday's and last night's beach fun. Last week we played some smaller, intimate shows for some great crowds. We seriously have met some cool folks so far. Florida is beautiful and warm! It's great to be in flip-flops in March. We're having a blast and hopefully you all are as well. We can't wait to meet you all. Please leave us some comments, we have a couple BIG things in the works for this summer and they're all going to depend on YOUR feedback so please let us know how you're liking the music and the shows by leaving us some comments. See you all soon!
