This may bore some of you....
I work at a place called convergys. It is located in Arnold MO right behind the Arnold 14 cine. Basically what I am supposed to do is screw people out of their money with cingular cell phone service... Notice that I say SCREW and CINGULAR in the same sentence :)
Now I take calls from all over the U.S.A. .... And here are a few things i've noticed about the different kinds of people in this country.
Some customers are very eager to buy from you... We'll call these people the "fools" of the bunch. Now these eager buyers are all the same. They don't think about what is going on, and they ask a very small amout of questions. Mostly like "GIMME GIMME GIMME" O SURE YOU CAN HAVE MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER AND MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER!!!! HOW LONG UNTIL IT GETS TO ME??? 5 DAYS!!!!! I THINK I'M GOING TO DIE WITH EXCITEMENT BEFORE THEY GET HERE.... Now these people get me paid because I get a certain percentage from them when they buy... I semi enjoy talking to them because of that reason. Mostly i'm thinking WOW these fulls really like to throw their money away.
Next we'll talk about the customers that seem to be brain dead... This is nearly the worst thing to have to deal with... People like this ask questions like.... "Do dis phone make calls??? Is dis one them flippy flop top phones??? Do I hasta pay for dis??? OMG THERE ARE SO MANY DUMB QUESTIONS THAT I'M ASKED THAT I CAN'T LIST THEM ALL BECAUSE I THINK REPEATING THEM WILL LOWER MY IQ LEVEL...
Now on to the rude customers... These people fucking suck. Now let me give you all some advice... Do NOT call sombody in a customer service job, and be rude. This will only get you placed on hold for an ass load of time... Now people like this say things like... "WHY ARE YOU ASKING ME SO MANY QUESTIONS!!! YOU DON'T NEED TO KNOW HOW I'M GOING TO BE USING THE PHONE!!! WHY DO YOUR PHONES COST SO MUCH I WANT THE PHONE FOR FREE!!!! 36 DOLLAR ACTIVATION FEE YOU'RE FUCKING CRAZYY!!! People like this drive me nuts... Don't call and be an asshole. Remember that the person you are talking to is probably trying to fix sombody elses mistake. Be grateful that we even talk to you for being rude in the first place.
Now on to the people that just want to talk your ear off... I hate this kind of shit. I'm not your friend. I don't know or care about your life. I don't need to know your life story. Get a pet and tell it about your life.. It will care more than I do... I don't even care to know anything except wether or not you want to buy a damn phone... Most of the time these people talk for 30 mins and ask you the same damn questions over and over while telling you about how there brothers, girlfriends, aunts, friend got their foot stuck in the toilet... Then they normally don't buy because they honestly just wanted to call, and talk... I feel mildly sad that they have nobody to talk to, but hey get your ass up and go outside to a park or a coffee house. Find sombody that cares to here you talk..... Did that sound a little cold?? lmao :)
Now on to the intelligent group... I probably talk to 3-4 people like yourselves a month... I take around 200 calls in one month.. If any of you noticed... THAT RATIO SUCKSS!!!!! People like this are all very similar. They realise nothing is free. They ask you nicely for the info they need. Like price of the phone, how long is the contract, how much is the plan.... Now even though these people normally don't buy from me.. I enjoy them the most. They are nice and get right to business. THANK YOUU CALL ME MOREEE!!!!!
