Hey gang,

I hope you're all doin great...summer is finally here in Montreal...(even if it rains all the time...;(  )...

Anyway, We kicked that off last week with 2 amazing shows ...First we played at Lambi with our friends from The Refined ...the soundman did a trumendous job (as always ...thanks Yan ) and even manage to record the last few songs of our set directly from the board... It sounds so good that we wanna take this opportunity to share some of those songs with you guys!

I posted one up a couple of minutes ago ( and our music player is "loading error" since but this should all be fine by tomorrow!) So, you'll be able to enjoy a new song...I TRY I SAY ... this one as always been a crowd favorite live but we didn't get the chance to record it yet! Make sure to let us know what you think of it ...

******Watch out , this song will be on the site for a limited time only...so hurry up before it's to late ! ******

So, Lambi was on thursday june 19th and we got to play at LA RONDE the day after...so June 20th for the SOIRÉE BLANCHE ! Weather has been an issue throughtout the day, we were afraid it would rain on our gear but worst....the show could have been cancelled....so we crossed fingers and toes all day....30minute before showtime...mother nature decided it was time to release some of her sorrows on us ! It felt like the worst , longest, most painful 30 minutes of my life...watching the stage get soaked, fighting winds to keep the drumset covered...but all of a sudden, rain stopped , just like in the Forrest Gump movie...2 magnificent Rainbow appeared in the sky and brought back smiles on our faces ! Things were OK for us to start the show and that's what we did...Hot Streak way !!! We played 2 full sets and finish way after sunset !We have footage of that and some of it might hit our myspace page sooner than you think !

We had a blast at La Ronde, we got the chance to meet some of our fans that came to see us from as far as Chicoutimi ( jess and Gen ...xx  ;) ...We also met a bunch of new friends ( CAth, Dey, KAtou, Aila, Corine,Zibei, Marie et Rox ) ...and some we didn't speak with but gave us comments on the site afterward...( Nadia, Mimiiee, Kariane...la prochaine fois on veux vous parlez...c tu claire ! lol ;) Anyway, It was SUPER DUPER COOL !!!

So here we are now... June 27th...our next show is on CANADA DAY , july 1st , in Deux-Montagnes...another chance to play outdoor...(something we really like, when the weather's kind !)

Another chance to meet some of you guys !!! ( you know who you are ...oubliez pas vos pancartes la ! ;)

So that's it for now...

Sit tight and give us comments on that Live song...

Rock ON

xx

Au CLUB LAMBI (4446 St-Laurent coin Mont-Royal)

La premiere partie sera assuré par 2 bons groupes The City Gates et The Refined

Hey , Hey,

I just realized that there's actually people reading these BLOG !

So here we are, March 6th... A pile of snow fell over Montreal yesterday and there's more to come this week-end...Dame nature fais pas de cadeau !

The band took a week off, so there's no Jam for us until next wednesday...we needed that, after everything we went throught with the Omnium Du Rock contest "heart-breaking" Finale !

But we spoke over the phone and let me tell you that we are all pumped up for the next few weeks...

We'll booke a couple of shows in and out montreal for the spring and we'll post some surprise on our site in the next few weeks...

Drop by often, I am sure you'll like that !

Take it easy gang

Montreal , May 29th 2007

What a great day !!! Here I am putting our myspace online...That's the first step for this new project so far called ¨" The Hot Streak ".

Let me tell you a little about this project!

I was asked by a friend to join his band, an pop-punk-emo project in march 2006....I jumped right in with big expectation. The songs we wrote were great but this guy that was supposedly leading the band wasn't commited to it...cancelling jams ,even recording sessions !!!We finally wrote 4 new songs in 9 months and played 3 shows( I am even counting the party we played at !!!)It was going nowhere!!!We splited in febuary 2007...

We ( drummer, guitarist and bassist ) decided to make audition to replace that singer/guitarist.We wanted to start from scratch. We found a guitar player in a week.We jammed for a month to get some ideas down...Andrew, the new guy , was really into metal-hardcore so we met in between...after a month , we decided that it was time to start singer audition...

It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be...I made list of our influence and post it on the most popular band forum ...I got tons of reply and contacted the ones that seemed to have what we were looking for...We tried 7 of them, despite what they told me over the phone, none of them could sing...it was horrible. Right when we were about to give up , a guy by the name of Mark wrote me an e-mail saying " I saw your add, I'm a singer in a cover band, I don't know much about your influence but I am seriously looking for an original project, we have gigs every friday and saturday, but during the week I am free ..."

I was like , OK , maybe we have different musical backgrounds but this guy can sing, I am sure of that!Let's try him out...It was a monday,Andrew couldn't jam with us because of midterms study, still we decided to tryout Mark.He came in with his own mic,a stand and a book of lyric (we didnt say a thing to look as professionnal as possible but that was COOOOOOOOL)...

We were like "OK , we'll play you a song twice so you can figure out a melody then we will see what you can come up with...we played and he sang, from the start I was like...damn that guy's got the weirdest phrasing I have ever heard...He got a great voice but the way he sings, it's like a crooner !!!Try to picture frank sinatra singing over pantera...it was just to weird...I said to myself , to bad for him ,he's great but this won't fit with our style !!! I think that this is the exact moment when our project started!

So we took a break, and talked a little...He was like wow, finally I found good musicians, with a chemistry and everything...We were like , We have to admit that you are by far the best singer we auditioned...but our styles are so different...We talked for an hour about lots of thing...he seemed like a great guy and he was seriously dedicated...we talked about music, inspirations, likes and dislikes...we found common ground as we all wanted to play music for the live aspect of it...To play for the masses...Ben (drummer) was like " we should get people to dance"...So we decided to try to get our own vibe, write a song on the spot , something that would leave room for Mark singing and fun for us to play....So we got back in the room, and 10 minutes later we had our first song that we named "amazing" ( that later became "little does she")...

We had a great time building that song structures  but it was now 10pm and the jam was over .We shaked hands and said we would get back to him to schedule a second audition...As Mark was leaving, I noticed that Martin , Ben and I were still smiling...We actually smilled during the whole second half of the jam...Ben looked at me and said " c'est le gars qu'il nous faut" (that's the man we need)...

We did our first real rehearsal that same week and it went great...We went 180 degree from what we were playing before...Its now indie-disco-punk-rock with a twist. We'll be in studio june 1st in order to put some song on this myspace asap...We are also starting to do some shows, keep an eye on that !
