Welcome back.....I havent written in a while.... I have been working hard lately though. I recently finished a few new songs, one of which was with one of my FAVORITE emcees: AKROBATIK!!! and produced by Jerel Brown, CEO of Trak Atiks out of ATL...Love them both....its a smash.....I have also been working on my video interviews...which I have done with the super hip hop group Writtenhouse (posted below) LOVE them too.....and Masta Ace and Edo G to be posted soon...we still editing. Still doing the radio thang on Friday nights....we've interviewed a wholoe lotta people in the last few months.... Andrew Mac (Sean Paul's guitarist), DJ Ultraviolet, Dave Ghetto, Writtenhouse, Hezekiah, DJ Black Panther out of BK, Jerel Brown of Trak Atiks, Masta Ace and Edo G, Akrobatik, Dave Tartaglia of The Super Daves (producers for Bubba Sparx) and so many more I cant even think of right now......go check out the archives for Off Tha Top on bsrlive.com

Exclusive interview on this link....

so me michelle and t bass wentt to Boston to do interviews for the Boston Peace Fest...thx to Edo G. the day strted out with rain....it almost got cancelled. we got our passes and chilled out inside. rain stopped and the show resumed. me and michelle were lookin hot and we were filming our new intro when i looked over and there was Akrobatik and Termanology. so i asked Akrobatik to do an interview for us when he got off stage and he agreed. so we watched the performance which was so charismatic and full of Knowledge....when he got offstage we proceeded with the interview which was candid and very political....and once again we were told it was one of the best interviews an artist has had in a while...along with the highlight of his day :). then we met up with Das Efx....of course my attention was distracted when Erik Sermon called me over to his area....so postponing the Das Efx interview until after the show proved worthwhile. Erik and Parish were some of the coolest dudes ive met in a while. a lot of time me being who i AM...artists tend to hit onme or whatever...in this case i was totally respected and no one was trying to get me to their room later on....which was surprising and refreshing. i felt very lucky to be in the hip hop pioneers presense.
so Das got off stage however EPMD went on right after and i did not wanna miss the show....they performed some classics and gave it their all as if it were 10-20 years ago.....amazing. of course fans and reporters swarmed them when they got offstage....so i asked Parish if we could interview at the hotel where it would be quiet. he agreed. so we wnt and caught up with Das and did a quick end of show, half in the bag interview. i must say they were both talking about different things at the same time...quite an art!! we have two interviews from the group but you have to watch them simultaneously!!! those guys were a lot of fun..... after the interview we went to the hotel lobby to do our interview. of course there was a crowd surrounding them even in thelobby.... we discovered that they are very down to earth, spiritual people. was a good day. as i walked through the rain that day, i realized that this is why i have accomplished so much...because i will walk in a dress in the rain to accomplish my goals....the pouring rain with no umbrella. stoned cold and sober. .....to be continued

People are always asking me ...when can I buy your music?? Funny thing is... the answer is I have no idea....I have tons of songs....most of which are not finished, mixed, mastered or some other unforseen chain of events which led to the songs being left for dead.....This is a reoccurring nightmare in my life....a producer offers the invitation to work with no strings attached.....I put my hard work into writing recording and arranging my vocals to create the song....I turn in the master or leave the master, never to hear from the producer or the song ever again.....and I am left with a shell of a song and an idea that will never be finished....but when people hear it, they wanna have it for their own......I will never seem to understand the art of finishing what I started....of course in a couple of cases....I know why it was never done.....but recently I have encountered yet another situation....only to get the promise in the beginning that "I will not be like all the rest"... and here I am with a number that doesn't work and a song that will be laid to rest like the rest of my album......sad but true....so for those of you anticipating the release of my first album....it may never come......I have been discouraged and feeling somehwta helpless in this situation....near to the point of giving songwriting a rest and refocusing my energies on something else.....

THE INTERVIEW WITH IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE FOR OUR ANNIVERSARY 2 YEARS SHOW DID NOT ARCHIVE BECAUSE THE SHOW ARCHIVES ARE NOT WORKING RIGHT AT THE MOMENT...OH WELL...IT NEEDED SOME EDITING ANYWAYS SO ALL GOOD....

 

THIS WEEKEND I DID NOT RESIST TEMPTATION. I REALIZE I NEED TO KEEP IN THE DIRECTION IM HEADING AND DON'T LOOK BACK....IM JUST GLAD I AM SMART ENOUGH TO REALIZE IT.....
