Hello Everyone,
I can't believe 2009 is almost over! It seems like last winter just ended a few short months ago, and here we are with the snow and the cold once again. Well, I was born here in North Idaho, so it's just as well I stop complaining and get used to it already...I have my snow tires on, and an extra coat and blanket in the rig for emergencies. My buddy Rick says he would rather be in 0 degree cold and in 100 degree heat! I find this odd. I would rather be in 100 degree heat! That means beaches, the sun, swimming, lots of gigs, all good things. Do you agree with me? With my buddy Rick? Leave me a comment and let me know what you think???
This has been a pretty quick year, as I said before. It seems I never have enough time. But it would be wrong if I did not take time to thank each and every one of you for your support. I am so blessed to have each of you in my life!
Tracy is so important to me. She is my wife, lover, secretary, mother of our kids, and chief organizer. She is moral and loving and I am lucky to have her love. She can set up and tear down my gear the same as I can. She comes to many of my gigs and makes me sing better just by being there. Her customer service is second to none, and she has a beautiful smile....How could I ever thank you...
Jimmy and Freddie have been my life. This year, each of them have had tremendous years in their own lives, and I've been there for both! Jimmy has moved to his grandfather's land and refurbished his old home, where Jim now lives with Annie and my granddaughter, Maddie. They live twelve miles away from me. It is so cool to see them often, and be a part of Maddie's first year! Jim has worked hard to make a home, and he still finds time to play with LOC, "The Jam Band", and others while raising his daughter. Maddie is georgous, she has bright eyes and smiles at me when I talk to her. Annie, I am so happy. Thanks for loving my son. And thanks for giving me my second granddaughter!
Freddie is off at C of I until 12/19, when he comes home for Christmas Break. Fred is, among many other things, working with the Drama Dept. as both Chief Audio Tech and as an actor. He recently auditioned for the part of Romeo, and has a part in an upcoming Gershwin production by C of I. He continues to work on his singing skills at college. Both Jimmy and Fred have been BIG TIME important to this little music business. Each of them has done much to help, and whether its' Jimmy or Freddie, or BOTH, I am blessed that they love me enough to share their talents.
This is my tenth year at the CDA Casino. I love the Casino and especially the employees! I work with the best bartenders and servers anywhere, and my boss, Dustin, is great! The folks that support me on Thursday nights are so nice, THANK YOU!The Casino is expanding, and I am excited about the future here! I also love working for Randy at Gig's Landing in Harrison, and One Shot Charlie's, also in Harrison. Red Horse Mountain, you all ROCK!
The Carlin Bay Jam Band was a blast this year. Jimmy, behind every good band is a great drummer. You make me proud! Andy (He goes by the name BILL BOZLEY) is as sharp musically as anyone out there. He can play bass, guitar and drums with equal ability. This allows us to switch off and play different instruments. I have REALLY enjoyed jamming with you this year, Andy! I look forward to next year.....What a band! The jams are about the jammers. From Cowboy Steve Muma's original song, to RC's Kid Rock imitation, there is a lot of talent to listen to at each jam! We saw some big things this year!!! Tristen, a 14 year old young man from Spokane learned several of our songs "off the record" and brought them perfectly rehearsed to show his skill. Tristen also has his own CD. One young man played Black Sabbath very well, and I liked that a lot! It's always good to see Ron Howard (from LIMOSINE) and his wife RB. Their grandkids bring their guitars, too. Ron's son, Corey, also comes out and is a very good singer and guitarist. What can I say about Denny Ray Edmonds, the BEST Orange Blossom Special in the GALAXY!Then there's always April, who sings her heart out, and our son Freddie, who we expect BIG things from in 2010. Look for some new songs from all of us this year. We are in rehearsal. 2010 Dates will be announced soon. We are also looking for a new name for the Jam Band. Leave me a comment is you have any suggestions...SPEAK UP!!!
Thank you to everyone who supports my music! By doing so, you give me a joyful job that I love to do, and you help me support my family. I appreciate it very much!
I have great family and great friends. And I have great fans. You all are more than I could ever ask for. It is so fun to play music! I thank God for his grace and blessings, and for His Son, Jesus, whom we celebrate and give thanks for this season. If I have learned one thing it is to trust in God. Merry Christmas, and a joyous and prosperous 2010 to ALL! P. J. Destny

Hi everyone, There is so much going on in the world today! Times are very tough. YET, tonight I witnessed, FIRST HAND, unbelievable acts of kindness, compassion, love, and sacrifice. I saw small town America at its' very best, RIGHT HERE in beautiful St. Maries! I went to the "benefit" this community threw for my friend, Michael Jensen. He has battled cancers of various kinds since he was young. This latest cancer required a stem cell transplant that will, God willing, save his life. Michael is the strongest man I know. He has a great family, and we all love them very much. They are all in our prayers. None of us know what is coming next in our lives, especially economically. Even so, I saw many people bid 'over value' on item, after item, after item. The endless stream of people, volunteers, more than 200 donated auction items, The Spaghetti O's, the genuine spirit of this community; neighbors sharing and bearing each others' burdens! It was awesome to see! I am truly proud! The money, time, and donations you gave will help get our friends through a very tough time. The love you share means more than words can express. Thank You! There were SO many items for the auction that our band had no time to play as planned. There will be other days for dances and shows. We'll see to that soon enough. Tonight, I was part of something very incredible that I will always remember. Never underestimate what you can do with your love. We love you, Michael (come home soon), and THANK-YOU EVERYONE for your thoughtful kindnesses. Folks, we are truly greater than the sum of our parts. Perry Loucks/PJ Destiny/Carlin Bay Jammers ps, we'll play TWO encores next time!

Sorry I was not at the CDA Casino tonight. I became a GRANDPA today for the second time. Maddie was born at 6:42pm 9/10/09. The Casino let me skip work tonight to be present for her birth. Jimmy is very happy and Annie is resting very well. Maddie is beautiful, and healthy. God has blessed us once again! Thanks for your understanding, if you came to see me tonight. I will be back at the normal routine next week.

Happy New Year Everyone!!!!
I just want to thank everyone for their support. It has been a good year for PJ DESTINY music. I've had a lot of great times, played for some very cool people, and I hope to do it all again in 2009. The CDA Casino has booked me for ALL Thursdays, as well as weekends in February, May, and beyond (CHECK MY SCHEDULE). I have some private parties coming up this summer. I also look forward to playing somewhere on Lake CDA this summer. Thanks to all who have booked me. You help me support my family. If you are hoping to book me this year for weddings or private parties, call me ASAP, as dates will fill up fast!!! I sure do hope to make my next CD later this year (I bought a 24 track recorder), and I am working with my buddy Mike Allen to record some of his songs. Jim, Freddie & I hope to do another "Take Me Back In Time" show later this year. Next year will be my 30'th year playing professionally. I am hoping to play twenty more years, at least!!! I just want to thank everyone who came to our St. Maries Eagles' "Take Me Back In Time" show for 2008 on Oct. 25. 180 people attended the show. We donated 10% of our proceeds to the SM Food Bank, plus passed a hat, and came up with $344.00 during a critical time for those in need. Thank you! This show was just about the most fun I've ever had going a gig! The people were very enthuseastic indeed. And did the boys, LG, and Billy ever deliver!!!! Jimmy's Wilson Pickett was amazing, and so was LG as John Denver and Wynonna Judd. Jessica sang her first song professionally (Tracy's daughter), and Freddie played his first song on the guitar on stage (Blackbird by The Beatles). From "The Geek" to "The Cheerleader", Jimmy played his characters to a tee. And, by the way, JJ, they did NOT fire me!!! Billy was very good as Mick Jagger, and he worked his tail off on new songs and promotions. His daughter, Jade, was amazing doing "Hit The Road Jack" in a man/woman costume, singing both parts. And who could forget Freddie as David Bowie! Ziggy Stardust lives! I am lucky to have this team to work with. I want to Thank the audience. You were loud and so nice with your comments after the show. Nice to see Keppy Ragan and K.O. out there dancing at the front of the stage!!! Me mories....There will be another show next year! As always, I love you all and appreciate your continued support. Come see me on Thursdays at the CDA Casino! It's a great way to beat the big crowds on the weekends.God Bless, PJ
