A great friend of ours named Jimmy of the band "End All", had recently written us a letter that we felt should be shared with our friends and family. Thanks guys for an unbelievable time.
Much Love from the Revolver Family!!!!
"first of all let me say that our experience at revolver was fun, exhausting, satisfying and worth every minute. in fact we plan to record the rest of our album there...i first spoke to jeremy as long ago as last year about recording...but it took almost that long to get our band ready enough to actually take the plunge and do the deed. our first immpression of the studio was that everyone was very down to earth and seemed to be willing to accomodate us considering our unique set up consisting of 2 drummers. ryan assured us that it wouldn't be a problem and we were sold. the dates were set. when we arrived excited and ready to work we discovered that the guys had put a suprising amount of effort to be ready for us. considering our 2 full kit drummers need to play at the same time this posed some recording dilemmas but was taken care of quite efficiently and before we knew it 7 drum tracks were laid down. later that evening after breaking down the drum kits, it was time for my guitar tracks. as i had already played 7 songs numerous times that day, i was complaining (as i tend to do) that i was running out of steam and my fingertips felt like hamburger. sammy came to the rescue and not only completely reworked my gibson SG to god-like playing standards, he also got an amazing guitar tone for the recording. after double tracking (playing the songs twice on seperate tracks for a thicker sound) that was it for the first day. day 2 was time for bass tracks and vocals. johnny blast off played his bass lines and was done in no time at all...then i had to sing.(if that's what you call it) ryan was exhausted and brought in trey to record my nervous performance. i had been drinking miller high life through the entire span of recording and just to get a bit ready jack daniels came along too.....i spent a half an hour screaming while trey set up the vocal mic....recording began. trey was very helpful in telling me what sucked and what was good...he even convinced me to leave some things in that i disliked at the time but am happy with now....not to mention sean cheering me on and jumping up and down through the control room window really set me off and i got into character pretty easily......3rd day was a mix down where we all were a bit spent being as it was a FULL 2 days....no time was wasted....we gave our insight as to what the rough mix was and then we called it. ryan informed us on a time that he would have a final mix ready and we pretty much gave him free reign to be creative with what was recorded and off we went. when we heard the final mix before mastering we were quite satisfied....a few little details were changed then that was that. 3 days, 4 songs. done very professional.ryan has a great ear for the heavy stuff and he made my shitty vocal performance sound bearable....the true grit of a fine producer. (but yeah a few of us did party our asses off during the recording, but that's just rock n' roll eh?) speaking for myself, i had a fucking blast and i look forward to getting back in there in the next couple of months.......as far as the experience went, it could have only been better if samuel l. jackson were there".
