So, I was supposed to play a show this afternoon in Guelph at the Kazoo festival. I should, probably, be in Guelph right now actually. However, I am physically in Toronto. For a bunch of reasons, I was unable to actually get to Guelph. First amongst those reasons is that I have never learned how to drive. But what basically happened is that the person who offered to give me a ride was, because of various other responsibilities and the vicisitudes of group dynamics unable to actually get in a car and drive me to Guelph before 1pm. The show was supposed to be over at 2pm and it takes one hour to get from Toronto to Guelph. So, first off: I'd I'd like to apologize to the organizers and people of Guelph. I will gladly come for a make up show. I am very sorry. This is the first show I have ever flaked on. I am very sorry that this has happened. Hopefully you will accept this apology and let me make it up to you all. Sorry.

...because seriously: Rupert Murdoch doesn't need our help. Seriously.
but anyway, yeah, I finally played a good show that went well and that I liked.
It was in Brantford with Think About Life, TIm Ford, Kids On TV and the Unbelievable Bahai Cassette. That was the best bahai cassette show i've ever seen.
I would say we reached a personal best together actually. Me and the Steve who is in Bahai Cassette. So I think I'm going to start doing shows more regularly.
Also: seriously, bring radios.

Hey,
so I pushed back the date for the Pile of Garbage show again because I had yet another brilliant idea about it.
What you have to do is bring AS MANY BATTERY POWERED RADIOS AS YOU OWN AND CAN CARRY (also, bring your own batteries) to 131 Spadina Ave. on September 1st.
Just do that and things will be totally fine.

So, months ago I wrote this little piece praising Alvin Lucier. Now, months later it has finally appeared in it's home at Greatest Band of All Time. Thanks to Zac Pennington and all those nice Portland, OR people for putting that up on the international network of computers!
Reading it again I wish I could have gone back and edited it a bit, plus some of the formating is wacky...but that's what happens with the internet if you're not 'careful'.

I'm going to finish my Bruce Springsteen covers record in late July and release it in August.
The release show will happen in a pile of garbage on spadina.
