This Too Important, I had to RePost It

Please Read, Act, and Pass It On!

As our rights continue to vanish and our elected representatives ignore our rage, we become more discouraged from attempting to effect change. Most Americans believe their voice will never be heard or recognized, so they have essentially surrendered to the oppressors.

     Yes, there have been several groups who protested against the government in the past with no effect. Since these groups were relatively small and unorganized, they were dismissed by the government as insignificant.

     In an attempt to make a difference I have composed a letter to send to our representatives in hopes of getting their attention. In order for this letter to work, we must all send a copy to each of our representatives, signed and in a handwritten envelope. In addition we must give out copies to at least 10 people each and know they will send copies to each of their representatives and copy to 10 more people, etc. I would also encourage you to make a copy and send it via e-mail to every representative you can and again, convince 10 people to do the same thing and know that they will get 10 people, etc. A campaign like this could be very effective if we take it seriously. To cause an even greater impact, I would like to have the e-mails started right away and have all of the letters mailed through the post office on the 18th of August. This will give us an entire month to pass the word and recruit more letter writers.

     This will be the first experiment to test the capability of this medium to effectively reach the masses, especially those who are sympathetic to our cause and willing to take action. I encourage you all to take this very seriously, get your letters ready to mail right away and begin encouraging others. Consider the possibilities if we all convinced 20 people or 50 people. Imagine the reaction when each representative receives 10,000 letters or more in one day. What kind of impact will it have on the post office? Could it make the major news networks? How many people would then consider getting involved to reform the government?

     I hope you all see the value of this type of campaign and get on board immediately.

     Dear (your representatives name),

          In complying with my responsibility to the preservation of The Constitution and Bill of Rights of The United States of America, and utilizing my rights as outlined in these documents, I submit to you the following instruction.

  • Impeach President Bush and remove from power his entire cabinet.

It is the opinion of the people that the president has continually acted against the will of the American people with wanton disregard for their opinions and beliefs. He and his cabinet have, without approval of the people, declared war on and attacked a sovereign nation and severely damaged national security by aggravating nations which can, and have, caused us both economical damage and threats to our personal security.

          As my elected representative, you are required by law to present the instruction of the people to Congress for consideration and potential legislation. Please be aware that this letter is part of a very large campaign of the people and you will soon realize this to be the instruction of the majority. Therefore, your options in this matter are limited to the following:

  1. You may, as requested present this instruction to Congress as soon as possible.
  2. You may refuse to present this instruction and resign your position effective immediately.
  3. You may refuse to present this instruction and be recalled by the people through further instruction

           The people of this great United States of America demand to be represented as directed by The Constitution and Bill of Rights. You will receive further instruction in the near future which we, the people, will expect you to represent in exactly the same manner.

          Please understand that your position is very important to ensure the people are represented properly. There are very strict legal guidelines which, in the most recent past, have not been adhered to or enforced. As the majority of "THE PEOPLE" demand control of their government, your role will be intensely scrutinized. I certainly hope you are capable of performing your representative role for "THE PEOPLE" and conform to the guidelines of the law.

Good day my revolutionary brothers and sisters, free thinkers and citizens of this great republic.

     Please forgive me for the two week hiatus, being homeless means sometimes being without internet access. However, it does present an opportunity for serious contemplation and reflection. I was in dire need of both after several frustrating weeks of trying to have intelligent dialogue with those on the extreme right. I had become consumed by the belief that we could discuss the issues as adults and through that discussion potentially create alternatives to our current political situation. The possibility of that type of dialogue is apparently not possible with those who claim to be conservatives, but have the personality traits of vicious dictators.

     "Man once surrendering his reason, has no remaining guard against absurdities the most monstrous, and like a ship without rudder, is the sport of every wind. With such persons, gullibility, which they call faith, takes the helm from the hand of reason, and the mind becomes a wreck."

     On the occasion my replies to their blogs were posted, I was verbally attacked and classified as a "moonbat" or "libtard".

     "The uniform tenor of a man's life furnishes better evidence of what he has said or done on any particular occasion than the word of an enemy, and of an enemy too who shows that he prefers the use of falsehoods which suit him to truths which do not."

     "By oft repeating an untruth, men come to believe it themselves."

     "I am... against all violations of the Constitution to silence by force and not by reason the complaints or criticisms, just or unjust, of our citizens against the conduct of their agents."

     Those of you who have read my blogs probably know that I am a republican, mostly moderate but leaning in both directions on issues I feel strongly about. My party affiliation is insignificant and to me only serves as a box to check when registering to vote. I believe the republican and democratic parties are nothing more than two teams fighting for superiority in congress to facilitate the lining of their own pockets by passing laws for the lobbyists who finance them. But I digress. Those intellectually challenged individuals who chose to classify me and dismiss my replies didn't even take the time to review my blogs or even question me on my political views, instead (out of fear) they chose to block me and even question my patriotism. Now, I am retired from the United States Air Force and served in the Gulf War, I am for a strong military, and I understand the need to support the troops and for them to support their commander in chief. During my time in the military, and for quite a while after retiring, I stood behind our president and his policies based on the moral standards the military programmed me with. The military code of conduct is a sacred thing that is not taken lightly or ever forgotten. For that reason, it bothers me to have taken my current stance that the president should be impeached. It was not an easy thing for me to do and it came after carefully considering all of the available information and making a reasonable decision.

     "A patient pursuit of facts, and cautious combination and comparison of them, is the drudgery to which man is subjected by his Maker, if he wishes to attain sure knowledge."

     "When a man whose life has been marked by its candor, has given a latter opinion contrary to a former one, it is probably the result of further inquiry, reflection and conviction."

     The mismanagement of this war on terrorism was by far the most important factor in turning me against the president. In the beginning I held out hope that we would uncover terrorist training facilities and weapons of mass destruction, but they never came. I am realistic enough to understand that Saddam Hussein had WMD's at one time; he used them on his own people as well as against Iran. However, a review of our relationship with Saddam will show that those WMD's were more than likely made available to Iraq either directly or indirectly by the United States and that Iraq never had the capability to manufacture them. As far as terrorist training camps, intelligence documents now show that Saddam would not permit Osama Bin Laden, Al Queda, or any other terrorist group into his country because he feared they could cause him problems. In my opinion this administration had ulterior motives in pursuing this war.

     We can argue all day about whether or not we should have gone to war with Iraq, the fact is we did. Our brave soldiers have fought and died to achieve a goal they feel strongly about and we owe it to them to complete the mission. But first we should have clear mission objectives which to this point have not been clear. What I have not seen, by this administration, is a strategy which is designed to accomplish the mission as our military is well capable of doing. Instead we sent fewer troops than required and provided them with inferior equipment. Then we tied their hands when it comes to engaging the enemy and turned our soldiers into police officers. Policing a country where they don't speak the language and are disrespected for not being Muslims. A country that has been in turmoil since the beginning of time, due to their extremist religious beliefs, and hate for those who are different, where almost every home has an automatic weapon.

     Wars are fought to win, to defeat an enemy completely into submission, communicate your intolerance for their actions and demonstrate your capability to do it at will to keep them in line. We are not and have not been at war with Iraq, we have attacked a nation and instituted a police state.

     At what point can we declare the mission accomplished and bring our troops home? What significant event will be the one our soldiers look back on as their "V Day"? The current policy doesn't include one. In effect this occupation of Iraq can continue infinitely as long as the commander in chief deems it necessary.

     I think it is time we refocus our energy on the real threats of terrorism, like Al Queda. We have the military technology to locate and destroy terrorist training facilities around the world without sending troops into harms way in many cases. But more importantly we have a large, well trained and now battle hardened military that could easily defend our borders while hunting Osama Bin Laden, or others like him. I agree that our greatest national security threat is from terrorism, so lets make it impossible for them to enter the country. As for the ones who are already here, well if our military was guarding our borders we could hunt them down, arrest them and deport them. The ability of terrorists to enter our country and obtain weapons is absurd and should be our first concern when it comes to the war on terrorism. After all, what kind of threat would Saddam Hussein and his "WMD's" have been with no way to get them into our country.

     Although the president feels strongly about his "War On Terror", he fails to recognize the threat at our borders as significant. In fact rather than hold illegal immigrants accountable, he chooses to grant them all amnesty to make the problem go away. What about the undesirables, those who are here to do us harm? We cannot seriously protect ourselves from terrorism if we allow everyone to come and go as they please. I'll not go into detail about my stance on border control since it is covered in my blog: Amnesty, It's Not The Answer ( I hope you have read it).

     Now for a condensed version of some of my other political stances:

  • I am anti abortion (except in cases of rape and for medical safety reasons).
  • I am pro environment, but also for drilling for oil in The Gulf of Mexico and The Alaska National Wildlife Refuge.
  • I am against "Big Government' and believe privatization of many aspects is necessary.
  • I am against welfare (except in extreme cases).
  • I am for national healthcare program, but one that is privatized.
  • I am for embryonic stem cell research.
  • I am for the patriot act, only until our borders have been secured and all illegal   immigrants have been screened.
  • I am for a flat tax system, one that is revised to include fair taxation of all including the rich and corporation.
  • I believe in our republic form of government, of the people, by the people and for the people. That the majority rules and that every citizen has a responsibility to be involved in the process of their government, to stay informed and to vote.

     "We may say with truth and meaning that governments are more or less republican as they have more or less of the element of popular election and control in their composition; and believing as I do that the mass of the citizens is the safest depository of their own rights, and especially that the evils flowing from the duperies of the people are less injurious than those from the egoism of their agents, I am a friend to that composition of government which has in it the most of this ingredient."

     That should give you a good picture of how diverse my political views are. So labeling me a "libtard" of "moonbat" is far from accurate. A crazy bastard possibly, unpatriotic NEVER.

     Now, for those extreme right wing conservatives who would not engage in intelligent dialogue, I pose a few questions which I hope you will take the time to answer for me. They shouldn't be difficult for you superior thinkers and there are only a few for right now.

  1. What is our strategy in Iraq and what defining moment will allow us to declare mission accomplished?
  2. How will giving amnesty to all illegal immigrants make us safer against terrorism?
  3. What has this administration done relieve our debt to the world bank?
  4. How can we form a NAU and still keep our Constitution and Bill of Rights intact?
  5. How many terrorists make up a stem cell? (trick question, don't think on it too long)

     My hope is to inform the general public of their responsibility as citizen to be involved in the process of government. If that scares those of you on the right, well too bad.

     "Laws made by common consent must not be trampled on by individuals."

     Our government was designed to be controlled by the majority, not by the perceived majority.

     "All... being equally free, no one has a right to say what shall be law for the others. Our way is to put these questions to the vote, and to consider that as law for which the majority votes."

     If all of our citizens (or even a majority of them) participated by voting, we would at least know and be bound by their desires. Right now the ultra right wing conservatives are happy knowing that most people don't vote. They are well aware that if the majority of Americans ever show up to the polls prepared to vote, they are in trouble and their exploitation of the poor and even middle class will soon end.

     "Where the law of the majority ceases to be acknowledged, there government ends, the law of the strongest takes its place, and life and property are his who can take them."

     What I find slightly humorous is that many of those people who continue to vote republican and stand by this administration, are actually being exploited and don't even realize it. They just believe that Rush Limbaugh is always right and since he sounds smart, well he must be. They never take into consideration Mr. Limbaugh's wealth and therefore his desire to ensure his needs are met, he could care less about those who struggle from paycheck to paycheck as long as he doesn't have to pay too many taxes. So just keep right on following Rush people, and perhaps one day he will let you wash one of his cars or do his laundry, all the while blowing cigar smoke in your face and laughing loudly about how you made him what he is. I sincerely hope you all wake up one day, like I did, and realize that this is not about party politics. It is about individuals and individual issues and we need to be involved to make sure the issues are resolved and the individuals kept in check or the separation of classes will progressively get out of control.

     "Lay aside all prejudice on both sides, and neither believe nor reject anything because any other persons, or description of persons, have rejected or believed it. Your own reason is the only oracle given you by heaven, and you are answerable, not for the rightness, but uprightness of the decision."

     For too long we have allowed those we elect to represent us free reign in Washington to do the will they choose without accountability. It is time to take back control of these representatives and hold them accountable. The only way to do this is through the use of the vote, by understanding the issues and communicating frequently with your representatives and by continuous monitoring of their actions.

     "Every honest man will suppose honest acts to flow from honest principles, and the rogues may rail without intermission."

     The power of government is in the hands of each and every American citizen and only they can change government policy. We can continue to allow our representatives to push for laws that make it harder on us and easier on corporations, or we can take action.    

  "Shake off all the fears and servile prejudices under which weak minds are servilely crouched. Fix reason firmly in her seat, and call to her tribunal every fact, every opinion. Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blindfolded fear."

     To those on the far right who have prejudged and labeled me, I say: Question my sanity, even I do that. But never question my patriotism, I consider that a grave insult and will fight you at all cost and without relent.

      "It is a singular anxiety which some people have that we should all think alike. Would the world be more beautiful were all our faces alike? were our tempers, our talents, our tastes, our forms, our wishes, aversions and pursuits cast exactly in the same mould? If no varieties existed in the animal, vegetable or mineral creation, but all moved strictly uniform, catholic and orthodox, what a world of physical and moral monotony would it be!"

     As I am continually in search of information and enlightenment, I spend countless hours reading blogs of both liberal and conservative persuasion. I have always felt it important to understand and consider the opinion of others, and on some issues, as new facts have become available; I have been known to change my opinion. For that reason, I have remained open minded and considerate of those with opposing views.

     "Difference of opinion leads to enquiry, and enquiry to truth; and that, I am sure, is the ultimate and sincere object of us both. We both value too much the freedom of opinion sanctioned by our Constitution, not to cherish its exercise even where in opposition to ourselves."

     I cannot help but be appalled by the current trend of the more conservative blogs, where it has become common practice to reference heinous acts which have been committed by criminals who are obviously insane, and link them to liberalism. This was most evident in a recent blog stating that a United States Air Force Senior Airman was shot on Independence Day by a leftist. Although it is apparent that the person who shot the airman was mentally unstable, and turned the gun on himself, the bloggers intent was to persuade his readers to believe that liberals want to kill our troops. What was even more disturbing were the many replies echoing the sentiment of the blogger.

     "That differences of opinion should arise among men on politics, on religion and on every other topic of human inquiry, and that these should be freely expressed in a country where all our faculties are free, is to be expected. But these valuable privileges are much perverted when permitted to disturb the harmony of social intercourse, and to lessen the tolerance of opinion."

     It seems that the common defense of this administration by those who claim to be conservative (at least those on the far right) is to maliciously slander liberals in general. In my experience this type of behavior is common in those who feel intellectually threatened and lack intelligent defense. Now, I am not proposing that those on the far right are threatened, or even wrong. What I am saying is that they apparently perceive a threat to their beliefs and are retaliating with malice rather than educated dialogue.

     Those on the far right, finding themselves outnumbered, are not open to discuss the issues, and have closed their minds to the consideration of alterative ideas. Their stance is that they are right and everyone else is wrong and those who have differing opinions are criminals.

     "I tolerate with the utmost latitude the right of others to differ from me in opinion without imputing to them criminality."

     Fortunately, our system of government is one where the majority rules, and the majority currently disagrees with those on the far right. This difference of opinion should create healthy debate which effects compromise and resolution. Instead, like our current administration, the far right will not debate or compromise to resolve issues, but instead they stonewall and claim righteousness.

     "Every man cannot have his way in all things. If his opinion prevails at some  times, he should acquiesce on seeing that of others preponderate at other times. Without this mutual disposition we are disjointed individuals, but not a society."

     "In every country where man is free to think and to speak, differences of opinion will arise from difference of perception, and the imperfection of reason; but these differences when permitted, as in this happy country, to purify themselves by free discussion, are but as passing clouds overspreading our land transiently and leaving our horizon more bright and serene."

     Although my opinion is rejected by the more conservative bloggers, and in fact many have actually blocked me, I will continue to read their blogs in an attempt to further my knowledge and better understand their opinion. I can only hope some will be of high enough integrity to allow my opinion to be posted and debated intelligently.

     I also encourage those on the liberal side to be open minded and intelligently debate those on the right rather than dismissing their opinion and blocking them. For only through the free exchange of ideas, vigorous debate and compromise can we resolve the important issues which confront the continuance of our great republic.

 I cannot help but be concerned for the state of our republic where the division of society is solely for the reason of party affiliation. It is evident that principle alone is the motivating factor prohibiting the reasonable discussion of the issues.

      I never submitted the whole system of my opinions to the creed of any party of men whatever, in religion, in philosophy, in politics, or in anything else, where I was capable of thinking for myself. Such an addiction is the last degradation of a free and moral agent. If I could not go to heaven but with a party, I would not go there at all."

     It has been my observation that those who are of the conservative party believe that our nation is doing well. They continue to support every decision made by this president and his administration and vehemently deny there is a need for any level of government reform. This seemingly blind acceptance of government for the purpose of supporting party politics is indicative of political ignorance. Many conservatives have now recognized the conundrum and agree that change is necessary; however, the extemist right wing continues to stonewall on every issue and refuses to acknowledge any evidence which threatens their position.

     "Perhaps this party division is necessary to induce each to watch and delate to the people the proceedings of the other. But if on a temporary superiority of the one party the other is to resort to a scission of the Union, no federal government can ever exist."

    If we allow party affiliation to inhibit our ability to recognize and rationally debate issues which threaten our rights, we are in effect conceding those rights and ensuring the division of this republic.

     "That each party endeavors to get into the administration of the government and exclude the other from power is true, and may be stated as a motive of action: but this is only secondary; the primary motive being a real and radical difference of political principle. I sincerely wish our differences were but personally who should govern, and that the principles of our Constitution were those of both parties. Unfortunately, it is otherwise; and the question of preference between monarchy and republicanism, which has so long divided mankind elsewhere, threatens a permanent division here."

     I understand the concerns of those of the liberal party and their desire to effect change whether peaceably or through the use of violence by those who are on the extreme left. However, the rational debate of these issue and proper instruction of representatives, as directed by our constitution, are the methods which will effect the most lasting change without threatening the security of our nation.

     "The friends of reform, while they remain firm, [should] avoid every act and threat against the peace of the Union... Reason, not rashness, is the only means of bringing our fellow citizens to their true minds."

     If we can, through the use of reason, persuade all Americans to consider the issues with an open mind, discuss them intelligently and reach conclusions which are acceptable to all, the full power of our right to self government will be realized.

     There are attributes of each party which are necessary to the continuance of our republic, and true patriots will fight to keep the best of both.

     "To restore... harmony,... to render us again one people acting as one nation should be the object of every man really a patriot."

     "The greatest good we can do our country is to heal its party divisions and make them one people."

     It seems to me that a majority of Americans is in favor of government reform, to some degree. However, the issues of concern are so many and so important that separate groups have formed to battle each. This division among the people, secondary to party affiliation, serves to weaken each group rather than aid the cause of the majority. We must work to unite these separate groups and achieve majority status first, then and only then will we have the power to effectively influence our government to act in all matters of concern.

     "If we move in mass, be it ever so circuitously, we shall attain our object; but if we break into squads, everyone pursuing the path he thinks most direct, we become an easy conquest to those who can now barely hold us in check."

     In conclusion, it is my belief that we should hold the issue of our rights more sacred than any party affiliation. Whether liberal or conservative, preservation of the Constitution and Bill of Rights of the United States of America, and the rights afforded us by those, should be the goal of every American. In the pursuit of this goal it will be necessary to cast aside party affiliation as well as personal interest to gain majority status and achieve the common goal of the people.

Good evening my fellow Americans, revolutionary brothers and sisters and free thinkers.

     Over the past several months We The People have expressed our dissatisfaction with the direction of our government, the decisions of the President and the inability of our representatives to act as we have directed them and in our best interest.  

"Whenever our affairs go obviously wrong, the good sense of the people will interpose and set them to rights."

     Partisan politics has become secondary to the need for change and the desire to return power of government to the people. Certainly there are extremists on both sides of the political fence who refuse to compromise, but those numbers are declining as this administration continues to make unpopular decisions and thumb its nose in the face of the American people. 

"When a man has cast his longing eye on offices, a rottenness begins in his conduct."

   My friends, the approval ratings for this administration as well as those for congress are lower than ever, signaling a growing unification of the people. We are at a very critical point in this New Revolution and we must strike while the iron is hot.

"The revolution of 1800... was as real a revolution in the principles of our government as that of 1776 was in its form; not effected indeed by the sword, as that, but by the rational and peaceable instrument of reform, the suffrage of the people."

     The messages we send to the government now will receive more weight than ever as our representatives look for a way to preserve their positions. Now is the time to write, call, fax and e-mail your concerns to your representatives, all of them and often.

 "It was by the sober sense of our citizens that we were safely and steadily conducted from monarchy to republicanism, and it is by the same agency alone we can be kept from falling back."

     Especially important is the impeachment of President Bush, Vice President Cheney and, in fact, the entire cabinet of this administration. There is a very important campaign in motion right now that requires the support of every American citizen. The campaign requires you to mail letters to every one of your representatives on the 18th of August, 2007. Read my blog: Representation, It's Your Right (My original campaign was for 8/1/07, but has been modified to partner with this one). It also asks that you spread the word and get at least 10 more people to participate and that those ten each do the same. You can see that this could easily generate the 50 million letter minimum we are looking to achieve. I hope you will take this campaign very seriously and join us to remove the worst president ever from office, along with his evil sidekicks.

"The force of public opinion cannot be resisted when permitted freely to be expressed. The agitation it produces must be submitted to."

     I commend you all for your perseverance, your commitment to positive change and your obligation to keeping us all well informed. You are the New Revolutionaries, the actions you take over the next few months, combined with everything you have already done, will aid in returning the power of government to the people and restoring liberty. We have taken a giant step in the direction of government reform, but we have much work still to do. Let us not celebrate and return to a complacent lifestyle, but instead continue to be active in the process of our government. Our vigilance is necessary not only to ensure reformation of our government, but also for ensuring it never again is allowed to degenerate to this level.

"Manfully maintain our good old principle of cherishing and fortifying the rights and authorities of the people in opposition to those who fear them, who wish to take all power from them and to transfer all to Washington."

     Our responsibility is to educate each other and our children, to participate in the process of government and to vote. We must never elect officials and trust our liberty to their judgment again.

"The influence over government must be shared among all the people. If every individual which composes their mass participates of the ultimate authority, the government will be safe, because the corrupting the whole mass will exceed any private resources of wealth, and public ones cannot be provided but by levies on the people. In this case every man would have to pay his own price."

     I cannot effectively express my appreciation and respect for those of you who take this revolution seriously every minute of every day. It is the efforts of you all, combined and united, feverishly investigating the issues, relentlessly questioning authority and tirelessly spreading the word to educate America, that makes this New Revolution real. I thank you for your friendship and salute your patriotism.

    With the recent attacks on my character, I felt it was time to restate my position and how I got there. I believe it is important and I hope it inspires others to reevaluate their own political positions.

     I am a registered republican and consider myself to be more moderate than liberal and actually conservative on moral issues. I voted for George Bush and supported him for quite some time. However, as Cheney began to take control and manipulate Bush, I began to have problems with the administration.

     I voted for Bush because I felt he had solid moral values, something most politicians' lack, and could possibly restore some morality to the country. I was aware that he is a weak leader, but at the time our country was doing well and I didn't anticipate the turmoil he would face. After the attacks of 9/11 (no I do not believe the conspiracy theories) a series of poor decisions put Bush is a situation where he relied too much on Cheney and his advisors. Mistakes were made, lies were told and things were covered up. Since then Bush has been nothing more than a puppet for Cheney and corporate America, doing there will as if the American people do not matter. I believe Dick Cheney has leverage over Bush through potentially damaging information (Blackmail).

     I am always open to intelligent debate and give merit to all opinions, after all the majority of us can only speculate as to what is really going on. When debated, I research my opponent's point of view, and if I am wrong I concede the point.

Our rights may be severely hindered at the moment, but we still have the right to an opinion, and unless that opinion is threatening or malicious we should respect it.

"In every country where man is free to think and to speak, difference of opinion will arise from difference of perception, and the imperfection of reason; but these differences, when permitted, as in this happy country, to purify themselves by free discussion, are but as passing clouds overspreading our land transiently, and leaving our horizon more bright and serene."

     In my opinion the most valuable thing to the citizens of The United States of America is our right to participate in the process of government. Although it is a right guaranteed to us in The Constitution and Bill of Rights, it is also a responsibility. This responsibility is one that has been neglected by the majority of Americans for too long.

"We in America do not have government by the majority. We have government by the majority who participate."

     For without the participation of the people our government becomes corrupted.

"Our country is now taking so steady a course as to show by what road it will pass to destruction, to wit: by consolidation [of power] first, and then corruption, its necessary consequence."

     It is time to set aside the partisan bickering and unite as Americans to take back control of our government. The corruption at all levels of government has escalated to a point where it is threatening the security of our person, our families and our nation. As our government is one Of The People, By The People and For The People, we The People, can make a difference if we unite.

"If our house be on fire, without inquiring whether it was fired from within or without, we must try to extinguish it."

     In Summary, I am against the partisan fighting which divides our country. I believe our president has been involved in enough poor decision making and potential wrong doing to warrant impeachment proceedings. I believe Scooter Libby is insignificant and merely just an aggravation of an already festering wound on our society, inflicted by this administration. I believe Americans should stand together and demand changes which will return the decision making power of government to them. I believe that far too few Americans take their rights and responsibilities as a citizen seriously. I feel more Americans need to educate themselves on the current issues. I feel that all Americans should vote. And I believe it should not matter that I choose the identity of one of our founding fathers whom I respect, and by his recognition inspires patriotism in others.

I believe I will continue my campaign of knowledge, as well as my campaign of change.

And I believe I will work harder than ever to convince others to join in my campaign to IMPEACH BUSH.

Yesterday I responded to a blog by someone called Kelsey (myspace.com/OldManKLC) and I was censoredAlthough he claimed the left would not respond to reason, he refused a response from a middle of the roader like me because it made him look ignorant. He then e-mailed me an told me it was because my use of Thomas Jefferson disgusted him and I had no right. He said he would only allow direct quotes from Jefferson, none from me.

With that in mind, and to get this off my chest, I have put together the following information which I hope explains my feelings on many things the ultra right believes.

In reference to the commuting of Libby's sentence:

"The laws of our country... in offenses within their cognizance, compel those who have knowledge of a fact to declare it for the purposes of justice and of the general good and safety of society. And certainly, where wrong has been done, he who knows and conceals the doer of it makes himself an accomplice, and justly censurable as such."

Although I agree that Clinton may have committed crimes, he did face impeachment and was acquitted. This may have been a poor decision, but it was a decision made after being presented in court and should be considered as final. The rule of law must always be followed, and it was with the Libby case. President Bush has the power to commute the sentence, and even pardon him completely. I personally have never contested that.  In my opinion it has been a series of poor and unfavorable decisions which have turned the majority against the president. Now it is time for him (the president) to stand trial, just as Clinton did.

"A departure from principle in one instance becomes a precedent for a second; that second for a third; and so on, till the bulk of the society is reduced to be mere automatons of misery, to have no sensibilities left but for sin and suffering."

The continued lies and midleading of the citizens by this administration has the majority of Americans outraged. They are opening their eyes to the atrocities and demanding change and accountability.

"Our fellow citizens have been led hoodwinked from their principles by a most extraordinary combination of circumstances. But the band is removed, and they now see for themselves."

The American people want the truth, and as long as this administration continues its game of conspiracy and cover up, the truth will be buried. The most important part of the Libby situation is that the cover up remains and those responsible for the most heinous crimes are being protected.

"Follow truth as the only safe guide, and... eschew error, which bewilders us in one false consequence after another."

I personally do not blame Bush for any of this. I don't believe he is capable of this kind of corruption. I voted for him knowing full well that he was not a strong leader, unaware of the turmoil we would face early in his presidency. I was also unaware of just how devious and evil Cheney really is. I believe Bush is being forced into difficult situations which ultimately benefit corporate America and Dick Cheney. Someone has coerced this passive man into doing things he doesn't understand and cannot control. With very little time left in this administration, expect even more deception and lies. The difficult times have distracted the American people from much of this through a very real threat of terrorism, which may or may not have been sensationalized by this administration as a means of leverage. But finally people are seeing the big picture, and they are not at all happy. They are educating themselves on the issues and demanding answers. Soon those responsible for the corruption and lies will be held accountable.

"The spirit of the times may alter, will alter. Our rulers will become corrupt, our people careless. A single zealot may commence persecutor, and better men be his victims. It can never be too often repeated that the time for fixing every essential right on a legal basis is while our rulers are honest and ourselves united. From the conclusion of [their] war [for independence, a nation begins] going down hill. It will not then be necessary to resort every moment to the people for support. They will be forgotten, therefore, and their rights disregarded. They will forget themselves but in the sole faculty of making money, and will never think of uniting to effect a due respect for their rights. The shackles, therefore, which shall not be knocked off at the conclusion of [that] war will remain on [them] long, will be made heavier and heavier, till [their] rights shall revive or expire in a convulsion."

If you support this administration, you should pay very close attention to the people in the very near future. When the majority finally speaks change will come and people will be held accountable for their actions. When change comes, and the crimes are finally exposed, will you change your opinion or be stubborn and closed minded still? Will you then be considered the radical extremist whacko? Or will you use your good sense to analyze the facts and make a reasonable decision?

"It is rare that the public sentiment decides immorally or unwisely, and the individual who differs from it ought to distrust and examine well his own opinion."

We are all in this together America. Republicans, Democrats and Independents alike. The control of our government is in the hands of the wealthy and the corporations. Our politicians are corrupted by lobbyists and we are not properly represented. Change must start at the top if we are to send a message.

Good evening my revolutionary brothers and sisters, free thinkers and fellow Americans, 

     Over the past few days I have had time to reflect on the situation which is prohibiting the reformation of our government and enabling the current regime to further their agenda. With my account frozen, or under maintenance, I was unable to access MySpace, and with time on my hands I was able to reach a better understanding of our dilemma.

     I have come to the conclusion that we (the majority) are trying to resolve too many issues at the same time. There are groups focused on: stopping the war, impeaching the president, reforming immigration laws, finding the truth about 9/11, reforming marijuana laws, women's rights, gay rights, animal rights, global warming, environmental protection, universal healthcare, social security, etc, etc, etc…. All of these are worthwhile causes and deserve attention, however, the ability to effect change is proportionate to the amount of support gained and right now our effective numbers are spread much too thin. We must find a way to unify the people and begin a well planned campaign which will combine the efforts of all these groups for common goals. By prioritizing the issues and presenting them in an order which will create the best opportunity for change, we can overcome this division of power and take advantage of our majority status.

     It is important for all influential political activists to come together and work out a unified plan, rally the people and demand change.

     I personally believe it is necessary to impeach the president and remove his entire corrupt cabinet from office before any progress can be made. This regime has only served to disorganize us all through the need for more political action groups, they have effectively neutralized the voice of the majority by creating several more minorities. It is time for them to go, and we cannot wait for the election process. The impeachment of the president will send a clear message and future progress will become much easier to attain.

     I would like to hear from leaders of the political action groups and attempt to get them all together. If you are one of, or personally know one of these people, please have them message me right away. The power of all these groups combined will carry the weight necessary to effect the changes desired by each individual group.

     Since I am already having trouble with censorship (under maintenance), it is possible that my page may be deleted soon. If so, I hope someone else will take this ball and run with it.

 United We Stand……..Divided We Fall!

    Our Own Government has divided us to keep us impotent in the process!

         We Must Unite to save ourselves from this government!

     I have already out into motion a plan to impeach the president and remove his cabinet from power, but it will take the action of each and every one of us to make it happen. This Too Important, I had to RePost It

Please Read, Act, and Pass It On!

As our rights continue to vanish and our elected representatives ignore our rage, we become more discouraged from attempting to effect change. Most Americans believe their voice will never be heard or recognized, so they have essentially surrendered to the oppressors.

     Yes, there have been several groups who protested against the government in the past with no effect. Since these groups were relatively small and unorganized, they were dismissed by the government as insignificant.

     In an attempt to make a difference I have composed a letter to send to our representatives in hopes of getting their attention. In order for this letter to work, we must all send a copy to each of our representatives, signed and in a handwritten envelope. In addition we must give out copies to at least 10 people each and know they will send copies to each of their representatives and copy to 10 more people, etc. I would also encourage you to make a copy and send it via e-mail to every representative you can and again, convince 10 people to do the same thing and know that they will get 10 people, etc. A campaign like this could be very effective if we take it seriously. To cause an even greater impact, I would like to have the e-mails started right away and have all of the letters mailed through the post office on the 1st of August. This will give us an entire month to pass the word and recruit more letter writers.

     This will be the first experiment to test the capability of this medium to effectively reach the masses, especially those who are sympathetic to our cause and willing to take action. I encourage you all to take this very seriously, get your letters ready to mail right away and begin encouraging others. Consider the possibilities if we all convinced 20 people or 50 people. Imagine the reaction when each representative receives 10,000 letters or more in one day. What kind of impact will it have on the post office? Could it make the major news networks? How many people would then consider getting involved to reform the government?

     I hope you all see the value of this type of campaign and get on board immediately.

     Dear (your representatives name),

          In complying with my responsibility to the preservation of The Constitution and Bill of Rights of The United States of America, and utilizing my rights as outlined in these documents, I submit to you the following instruction.

  • Impeach President Bush and remove from power his entire cabinet.

It is the opinion of the people that the president has continually acted against the will of the American people with wanton disregard for their opinions and beliefs. He and his cabinet have, without approval of the people, declared war on and attacked a sovereign nation and severely damaged national security by aggravating nations which can, and have, caused us both economical damage and threats to our personal security.

          As my elected representative, you are required by law to present the instruction of the people to Congress for consideration and potential legislation. Please be aware that this letter is part of a very large campaign of the people and you will soon realize this to be the instruction of the majority. Therefore, your options in this matter are limited to the following:

  1. You may, as requested present this instruction to Congress as soon as possible.
  2. You may refuse to present this instruction and resign your position effective immediately.
  3. You may refuse to present this instruction and be recalled by the people through further instruction

           The people of this great United States of America demand to be represented as directed by The Constitution and Bill of Rights. You will receive further instruction in the near future which we, the people, will expect you to represent in exactly the same manner.

          Please understand that your position is very important to ensure the people are represented properly. There are very strict legal guidelines which, in the most recent past, have not been adhered to or enforced. As the majority of "THE PEOPLE" demand control of their government, your role will be intensely scrutinized. I certainly hope you are capable of performing your representative role for "THE PEOPLE" and conform to the guidelines of the law.

     This Independence Day, let us reflect on the values our forefathers held so valuable as to risk everything, including their lives, to ensure. Justice, Domestic Tranquility, Common Defense, General Welfare, Liberty and Posterity are the building blocks of the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights.

     Justice for all, fair and consistent, not vindictive, but exacting, with no one person being above the law. A system which would hold each person accountable to society for their actions, no matter their wealth, social status or position in government. Justice was necessary to the preservation of all the other values.

     Domestic Tranquility, the ability to live without fear of attack from ones neighbors. A society where the rights of all citizens would be respected by all other citizens, as well as the government. This would enable the pursuit of happiness, the ability to choose ones own course in life and develop their own belief system. The ability to worship as they choose, without intimidation.

     Common Defense meant that we would defend our country against attack from enemies, foreign and domestic. Enemies with the intent and capability to destroy our government and way of life.

     General Welfare refers to health, education and safety. The government would provide for and all people would have access to education, medical care and the protection of the police.

     Liberty is freedom, independence, the ability to make decisions and take actions without governmental influence or the influence of other citizens. Liberty, enforced by justice, allowed for individualism and diversity.

     Posterity was to guarantee these rights would be afforded to al future generations. The checks and balances provided in The Constitution and Bill of Rights made them living documents which could grow with the nation while retaining their intent.

     These core rights are guaranteed to us, however, it is our responsibility to be the caretaker of them. Just as important as these rights is the need for citizens to participate in the process of government. As living documents, The Constitution and Bill of Rights evolve through legislation proposed by the majority. What our founding fathers never planned for was complacency.

     With the majority of society ignoring their responsibility to participate in the process of government, the very core of our Constitution and Bill of Rights is in danger. By allowing a minority group of wealthy (and the lobbyists employed by their corporations) to control our government, we have enabled the violation and loss of our own rights. As this condition is perpetuated, the rights of all but the very wealthy will continue to fade.

     Fortunately, we still have an opportunity to regain control of our government and reverse this process. The solution is really quite simple, inexpensive, low profile and very effective. By notifying their representatives (in writing) of their concerns on every issue, the voice of the true majority can be recognized. Right now, the majority of correspondence received by our representatives comes from corporate lobbyists and wealthy campaign contributors. So, by the direction of the Constitution, they are representing the majority. As long as we remain silent, they will continue to represent the perceived majority. The time has come for the real majority to be recognized. Take action now and write letters to all of your representatives. They can be form letters as long as you sign them, as long as they voice your concerns. I also recommend addressing the envelope by hand as it will be considered as more personal. If all Americans would take the time to do this we would see a rapid change in policy.

     I understand that our lives are busy ones, and time is valuable, but the security of our rights and freedom are worth a few hours a week. Make the time and send your letters, you will feel better and you will see results.

     I would like to sincerely thank everyone who reads my blog, especially those of you who comment and help to generate more thoughts in my tiny little brain, I hope you will continue. There was a time, recently, when I believed Americans had given up on thinking for themselves. This outlet had broadened my mind considerably, and I am forever in your debt.
