Hello there. Wow, it's been ages since i wrote anything for this blog - i've just been carried away with using Twitter and Facebook lately. Also we're working on a new website - which is looking very crisp.. but more news about that another time.

I've been busy recording a new track "Seek And Destroy" which is hotting up nicely and also working on "Humankind" too. I'm also having a delve into my back catalogue as I'd like to re-record one of my older songs - possibly from my Honest? (1995) or Feline (1996) album. I haven't chosen the track yet, but there's a few candidates that really stand out for me.. and whichever one it ends up being, it will feature as a b-side on a forthcoming single.

'The Vorticist' is still ticking away. It took me forever to release 'The Fury And The Fire' (which is incidentally now available on iTunes for the first time ever) but I got there in the end. Hopefully it won't be much longer.
Anyway, it's late, and i'm off to bed now.. just thought I'd drop you a line to let you know what's going on.

Hi guys,

As I write this, there's another big thunderstorm rumbling over my house. There's been a few in the last couple of days but the weekend was incredible - i went up to the coast and got some rays. What did you get up to?

I just thought that I'd let you know that in addition to my post a few days ago, the Irresistible single is now available on iTunes, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.com and Lala, and is likely to appear on more sites soon - the likes of Nokia, Spotify, Napster etc have distributed my previous releases - so it shouldn't be long with this one.



The single comes complete with the two winning mixes from my recent competition by Sean Goes Pop! and Sven Erler.

Anyway, better go before i get electrocuted or something.

hi guys, if you've been following me on Twitter over the last day or so, then you'll have no doubt spotted that my new single IRRESISTIBLE has been released! Woo!





You can initially purchase this from those lovely guys at 7Digital.com and RawRip but you will soon be able to get hold of it from the likes of Napster, Lala, Amazon and Didiom. iTunes will follow shortly too.

I'd like to thank everyone who entered the Irresistible Remix Competition that I launched back in April. The response was fantastic and I received so many remixes from highly talented people from all over the world. Picking one winner was impossible, so i turned it to two winners and that wasn't much easier... but i picked them out in the end.

The tracklisting is as follows:

3. Irresistible (Sean Goes Pop! Mix)

For me, I'm straight back into recording and have been working on two great tracks - "You'll Always Be Waiting" and "Leaving You Tonight" - both of which I am currently feeling like they might become future singles! Watch this space for more!

hi guys,
oh no... why does it have to be so hot and sunny when i need to be recording?

so, with the Irresistible single on the verge of release, featuring the two winning remix entries from my competition (Sven Erler Remix and Sean Goes Pop! Mix) and a new b-side (that i shall be finishing off this weekend), i'm just starting to look ahead to finishing the album - The Vorticist - and picking the third single from it. in my mind, it's already chosen.. but who knows what might happen between then and now.

i'm also talking to a couple of potential collaborators about other projects to come after the album - and i'm really quite excited by them. new ground, new sounds!

Although not one of the winners, Dainius Sebeckis - a remixer from Lithuania has put his 'Des Seb Remix' of Irresistible up to listen to on youtube. Dainius' mix was one of the entries that made picking two winners really hard.

It's been really hard to whittle down the entries of my Irresistible Remix Competition, down to two winners.. but I've managed it. Thank you to everyone who entered the competition or even just had a go for fun.

The quality and quantity of entries has been superb and it was difficult to choose just two but I am proud to announce that the official winning mixes are:


Irresistible (Sven Erler Remix)

There were some other notable entries that made it particularly hard to pick the winners so I'm going to give my favourite three of these a nod too. I listened to their mixes a LOT and was reluctant not to being able to have 5 winners!! However, I hope that this may dawn a strong new relationship with all remixers and keep the door open for potential collaborations in the future. The three nods go to:

Des Seb, Harperactive and RomeyBoy.


The two winners will join the original version of Irresistible and one other new track and will be released in late May 2009. More info on the dates will follow.

Hope that you are all enjoying May. It's my favourite month - not least because I get birthday cards!

Hi guys,

I'd like to say a massive thank you to everyone who entered my Irresistible Remix Competition. The competition has now closed.

I've now got a tremendous task of listening, re-listening and re-re-listening to the remixes and to work my way down to two winners. That's going to be really difficult as the quality and quantity of remixes was very high.

The competition has really been an eye opener and I hope to be able to maybe do another one in the near future and/or to build some working relationships with some of the entrants for future collaborations.

For now though, it's headphones on and press play....

I just read that the UK is going to have a long dry summer. I'm not sure that really acts as compensation for a lack of the last two summers. Perhaps we can have a long dry and hot autumn and winter too.

Well, there's just nine days left of my Irresistible Remix Competition now.

So, if you're busy remixing or even if you're still toying with the idea, you've got a few more days to finish it off and send your entry in before the closing date of 30th April.

Winners (yes, more than one - there's so many fantastic entries!) will be announced on 5th May and will become the two remixes that get released on my single.

I've been completely blown away by the response, in quantity and quality. It's going to be very hard to pick two winners. Entries came from across the globe and so I shall be shutting myself away to listen to them all again and pick my favourites.

I also hope to finish off a new track, "Heartbreaker", which may crop up as the "b-side" (do digital singles technically have 'sides'?).

Thank you for supporting my music and thank you to everyone who has entered the competition.

Hi guys, hope you had a great break! I don't 'do' Easter but enjoyed 4 days in bed - nice :)

well, the remix competition is going well and has produced far more remixes that I imagined it would. 99% of them are incredible and that's going to make it 99% impossible to choose the winner.

If you're still toying with the idea of having a go at remixing, you've got to get your entry in by noon (UK time) on 30th April to be in the running.  You can read the rules (sorry...!) at the Irresistible Competition Page and download the split tracks ('stems') that you can fiddle around with to your hearts content to produce your mix, remix, dub, space opera...whatever...

You may have noticed the artwork is now available for the single...



Thanks again to everyone who has entered so far. The standard is very high and I can see that this might lead to some wonderful friendships and future collaboration projects.
