As it Is

So, as it is.
We shall be updating the page very soon.
Many things have been very hectic and time has been rather restricted due to personal matters that go beyond any of our control.
Anyhow, we are still alive and all well.
We've been writing and working out songs. Dropping most, writing new.
And since the addition of Damian on the drums, we are ready to hit much harder, and bring many more unexpected suprises.
And after we feel we have written enough, we shall be in the studio recording, and then right back out in everyone's faces, where we belong.
Yeah.

For All Whom Have Waited....

Hello Everyone.
I know that the activity level on 338's myspace has been minimal for some time.
My apologies.
I am writing now to let you all know that soon enough I shall be posting all the updates.
Ya know, new music, new members, all that stuff.
I think you will enjoy the direction 338 is heading now.
We've been writing and trashing material left and right.
And as far as our old set, it has been decided that it will stay in the past, with the fallen members. The reflect a time and people who are no more.
So.... With the return will be all new songs.
And I really want to thank all of you who have stuck by us through thick and thin.
Esp. our crew, whom we love you all dearly.
Again, thank you. And I shall let you all know once the new stuff is all up.

Changes......

Well, as some of you know, there has been some changes to 338.
After Don had to part ways with 338, it became apparent that the same was to occur with Anthony.
It was a sad time for us in 338 to lose half the band within such a short time, and it was devastating as well.
But we made a promise that you'd need to kill us to stop us, so we are back!
Taking up where Don left off is Rob Lewis, aka Kudagra.
We know that he will not let you down as our new front man.
And to fill up all the missing low end will be the infamous bass maestro for the awesome band FourGone, Mullen. We are very greatful to have the skill and talent he brings to the table. And we know that you will also not be let down by his mastery of the craft.
We implore all the older and newer crew to do their best to make it back out to all our events, as we are coming back into the game.
Thank you all for sticking with us through all of the bullshit that has gone down with 338.
You all are our reason for doing this.

Another Thank You.....

I just wanted to write and thank all of you who came out this past saturday and filled up Gallery Billiards. It was an amazing show thanks to you amazing people.
Since then, we've recieved hundreds of plays and a whole lotta friends requests. Thank you.
I'm glad to see that you all loved what you saw and heard.
I'm very grateful to all of you. And to TJ Starr and Gallery Billiards for hosting that wonderful event. Thank you.
We'll be back up there sometime late next month, so keep an eye out and let's pack that place even more (if that's possible.)!!
Again, thank you all!! And thank you to Mortalitus, Odium, and Ekotren for putting on some damned fine performances.
Definately hope to share the stage with them all again.

Blasted.......

Well, I've been thinking lately. It is too bad that Blasted Records turned out as it did. He did good work. The sound is good for not being fully mixed down.
If it had been finished, you'd hear the tom that is missing in the songs currently on out player. I emailed Matt Bishop (owner) a few times, asking about the finished product, to none of which did he answer. It's been a few months now, and nothing. We were promised a fully mixed down product within the following week, and he never came through.
And it was also amusing when we arrived at his studio. It's way up by Pensicola. An 8 hour drive from our base of operations. We were supposed to be there at 8am, which we were. We were supposed to record and mix down until 8 pm.
He had overslept and we didn't get in there until 10:30am.
We then recorded until 2:30ish, when he informed us that we were going to stopping after the next track was recorded. He had assured us that we would be able to record all the instruments until about 4-5pm, and then take care of the vocals afterward. Well, we could do vocals whenever, but due to sound ordinance, we only had that time frame for loud, amplified instruments.
So, we had to stop ALL recording at about 3:30 now. He did a quick mix that did make it sound pretty good. by about 4pm, we were handed the cd of the 3 songs that were accomplished andtold that he was going to further mix them and send us the better version within the next week.
As you can tell, that never happened. Yes, I am a bit sour about it, and Eric is absolutely livid about the missing tom. He says that there was no mic on the tom and that he was too tired to realize it at the time (keep in mind that we drove throughout the night, alternating driving duty). So, there now is really nothing we can due about it other than inform you and point you in a better, more professional direction.
Do not, I repeat, DO NOT go to Blasted Records/Studio to have your music recorded, unless of coarse you live close enough to make things go your way, as we do not. We drove a long way for a good deal. And at the time, it was a good deal. $25 a song. Can't go wrong with that. He assured us that we would definately have enough time to record multiple songs. Which we would have, supposing he'd been there at the apointed time and we went as long as promised.
But, as I said, we drove a long way to have what we love recorded, under the assuption that he was a man of his word, and conducted proper business.
We have learned otherwise.
I urge you, do not make this same mistake. Learn from my bad decision, for it was my overall choice. I led my band to a man who did not live up to his promises and ultimately lied to us, and for that I apologize to my bandmates.
In short, STAY AWAY FROM BLASTED RECORDS!!!!!!!!
DON'T PUT YOUR BLOOD, SWEAT, TEARS AND HARD WORK INTO THE HANDS OF THIS BUSINESS!!!!!!!
That is all the ranting for now.
As I've been saying, we will be recording very, very soon. Due to certain setbacks, we've been unable to do this yet. But we shall. All things are falling into place and I will fulfill the promise I've made to all of you and we'll have it out for you all soon.
