Last year 2007, was a really good year for so many things and so many people in my life.  Congrats to everyone...and to all my industry friends, you know who you are.  Much happiness and success in your life and career in 2008.

This year has started off pretty crazy.  I just wrapped a film, Caesar and Otto's Summer Camp Massacre (no, not horror, a fun comedy).  It's a straight to DVD film so keep a watch for it this summer in Blockbuster and through Netflix!

All Ages Night should be hitting theatres by late spring/early summer, so watch for that.  You all will LOVE this film!

Also, I just snagged the title role of Feeb in the film Millie and Feeb.  I will be working with V Sevani (from NLT - he plays Mike Montoya) as well as Caitlin E.J. Meyer (Millie) and Bobby Coleman (Martian Child with John Cusack plays Danny).  Uma Thurman is in talks to play my mother, Ava.  Cross fingers on that one!

Lined up right after that is a supporting role in the movie, Jake's Wing.  I will play the role of Kristi.  It's an awesome and moving film.  When I get more info. on this one, I'll post.

Many other things are happening - which is why I'm STILL in NY.  LOL  But they are all still kind of talking about them and they are not sure yet, so I can't say anything.

One last thing, I have an Official Website that my reps. put up www.LissaLauria.com.  I don't think it's fully loaded yet. It still says it's under construction, but they promised me it should be there in a day or two.

Whew. Okay. I think I caught all of you up.

Any new info. on the guys, I will post.  Everyone is just very busy!

Hope you all have a great 2008!

Lissa =)

So sorry for lack of blogging here, but we've been a very busy bunch collectively, as well as individually.

Lissa is involved in many projects on many fronts, but are all top secret for right now!  Watch for future blogs and singing venue updates as the weeks pass.  I think for those of you who are Lissa Lauria and L Squared fans, you're going to be very excited as to where things are taking her.  Not what you would expect completely...so stay tuned! (I wouldn't rule out an upcoming tour, very soon!  Shhhh!)

Michael has been busy also.  He is expanding himself to include acting and modeling.  He went home for the holidays and gigged with some old friends.  Also check out his myspace for new pics!

Richy is on the drums as usual.  He is constantly practicing to be ready for whatever is around the corner for Lissa and the group.  He's also taking the time to write some new awesome songs for the band.

Alex is also trying his hand at a bit of acting and writing songs and producing his own material.  He is very busy exploring other areas of the arts as well.

Percy is forever mixing...putting together some amazing stuff for the group in his recording studio.  He is involved in all aspects of what the band is doing and will be more involved as time goes by.

That's all we can tell you ;-)

We are waiting on hearing about so many different opportunities and we can't share them with you yet.  But we promise, we will as soon as we can.

We love you guys!  Thanks so much for all your support!  And watch for upcoming interviews (a phone interview also) with many of our street teams and fan support groups.  xoxoxox

Here are the lyrics to "Marina's Song"...hope she and all of you like them and you get a lot out of what we are trying to say.  Working on the lyrics for Scott's song.  We'll post when they're done.

We're very busy ready to record 2 more original songs, then our EP will be finished!  At that point, we are hoping that we will have many tour dates lined up and will be meeting many of you during the Meet & Greets! Also, working on a music video which hopefully will be filmed by the end of the month!

Thanks to all our fans for your support!  We LOVE you guys and hope to meet you all soon!

hugs,  L2

Marina's Song

1st verse:

Life doesn't seem so good,
Life doesn't seem so great.
Some days last forever,
Some moments filled with hate.

For doing the right thing,
You're punished like you're wrong.
Oh my dear Marina,
Please find hope in this song.

Chorus:

When there's a lot of bad,
Doesn't mean life isn't good.
You're on the right track,
Just doing what you should.

When there's a lot of bad,
You can take it as a sign.
Know that good is coming,
Destined from up high.

2nd verse:

Don't fall, don't surrender,
Your time will come, I swear.
Cause when you feel alone,
That's when your help is there.

It's okay to cry,
To feel a bit of pain.
But when you're done - raise your head high,
And know there's more to gain.

Chorus:

When there's a lot of bad,
It doesn't mean life isn't good.
You're on the right track,
You're just doing what you should.

When there's a lot of bad,
You can take it as a sign.
Know that good is coming,
Destined from on high.

Bridge:

High above it all.
Don't expect to fall.
See your life succeed.
Look forward, take the lead.

Chorus:

When there's a lot of bad,
Doesn't mean life isn't good.
You're on the right track,
Just doing what you should.

When there's a lot of bad,
You can take it as a sign.
Know that good is coming,
Destined from on high.

THIS WAS SO HARD!!!
We really loved everyone's ideas.

Gerelyn spoke about our dreams and not giving up.

Courtney felt that "not getting your way" was a good topic for a song.

Melissa wanted us to write about cancer survivors and with members of L Squared having been affected by losing people to cancer, we knew that was very important too.

Shannon Michele thought singing about what everyone goes through, having a broken heart, would make a good song, and we agree with that too.

Daniela felt 'breaking up and making up' should be what the song is about.

Courtney Chaos wrote that she thinks the lyrics of the song should be about how people change and sometimes think they are better than you...something she went through herself.

Carolanne, one of our Street Team Leaders, said that it should be about liking someone but they don't even know your alive.

Shelby lost her grandfather and feels that if we wrote about someone that you've lost in your life, that should be what the song is about.

Just kb thinks that everyone is lonely in their lives at some point, at home, in school and other places, which was her idea for the song.

Barbie felt that young love should be the topic and that it should be about being careful or we'll follow only our heart and it could mess us up.

Marina felt that we should do a song that "is not all peppy".  She went through a lot of loss in her life and a lot of unhappy memories.  So she thinks that it should be about life still being so awesome and that you have to be strong and not run from your problems.

Then, Just kb had another idea, which was about having stress in love, friends, school and family.

Kimmie Vee felt that a great song would be about someone having nobody in the world and then ending with that person being the person everyone loves.

Scott, from The Journey Begins Now, felt that a great song would be one that deals with "choices" and the ones we all make in our lives and that those choices may take us in directions that we don't want to go.

Michele felt the song should be about all kinds of friendships.

Stephanie thought that the song should have lyrics about how sometimes the people closest to you end up hurting you the most, and how you should just keep going until you reach the top.

Kaileigh felt that writing a song about how everyone thinks this certain girl is perfect, but her life is not perfect at all, would be good.

Stephanie had another idea that we should write about the people that are closest to you, always seem to hurt you the most.

This was very hard for us.  We felt everyone's idea was wonderful, but there was one suggestion that we thought included EVERY idea and then another person's suggestion for the kind of song it should be was right.

So actually, TWO people win!
Scott and Marina both win songs about their topic.   We felt that Scott's idea included everyone, because everything you all said has to do with choices...whether its choosing a girlfriend or boyfriend...choosing to not let everything bad that is happening around you affect you, and so on.
Marina touched us with her story of what she's gone through, so we will be writing a song dedicated to her about that also.

SO CONGRATS TO EVERYONE!  REALLY, EVERYONE WINS!
I know that seems corny, but it's true.  You all inspired us SO much!

The lyrics to the first song will be posted in a few days and hopefully we will be recording it within the next few weeks!  The 2nd song will be right after that.
Thank you all again SO much...you all ROCK!
When you hear the songs, you will all know that you all had part in making it happen!  XO

P.S. We also will be inviting Marina and Scott to one of L Squared's rehearsals of their song and we will make a video of that night with them there.  We will be contacting you guys soon!

Next week, after Lissa wraps her filming, we are going to be back into the recording studio, laying down Lissa's 2 new original songs.  Because Lissa writes all her own material, some of our fans have written to us and given us ideas about what she should write for her next song.  That gave us a great idea!

So here's the thing.  If you want to be part of this contest, reply to this blog, or leave us a comment about an idea you  have for a future song for L Squared.  It can be based on your experience or a story...whatever.
You don't have to write the lyrics, we'll take care of that...just give us an idea, inspiration or story...what you think would become a hit song.

If we choose your idea, we will video the song, tell your story and name and post it on our myspace and youtube!
Everyone, everywhere can take part!  We are so excited about this!
And you can give us as many ideas as you like, just don't put them all in
one comment!  LOL

Thanks to all of you for all your support!
We know this song is gonna rock!
Hugs, L Squared XO

Hey everyone!

Lissa's mother just received a personal email from Rosie O'Donnell after she listened to Lissa's solo music and to L Squared.  This is what she said:

..> ..> ..>..>

these kids
all stars
fill my heart

r nations future
each one
extend their wings
with hope

for u only
a shared word from one
learning to fly

peace,
rosie

We are SO excited!

Thanks so much for all of your support!  We should have 2 more original songs up within a couple of weeks.  And don't forget to watch for our new contest!

Hugs,  L Squared

Hey...

We're hoping to have some great news about our performance at BB King's at Universal Citywalk on Sept. 25th.  We're working with the promoters there to see how we can get "ALL AGES" in that night and not just 18+.  What may happen is that if someone underage comes in with someone 18+, they may allow it...or we may go on earlier and then that may work also.  Anyway, we are trying very hard for you guys, because so many of you wrote to us about wanting to come, but you are not that age.  We will keep you posted!  And we also can save tickets ($10 each) at the 'will call' window.  All you'll have to do is to send us your full name and how many are coming, and we'll save them for you!

Also, many of you have requested a signed photo of Lissa or of the entire band.  What has happened is that some of you have written to an old address for Lissa's agent and your requests are either being lost or are arriving late because of being forwarded.  Please, if you have fanmail or would like a signed photo of either Lissa or L Squared, please write to:

Thanks so much, again, for all of your support!  We can't wait to meet so many of you!

So much is going on for the members of L Squared!

Lissa is busy shooting the teen rock music feature film, "All Ages Night".  The days that she's not on set, she is busy working on new songs for the band's upcoming recording session as well as doing a lot of auditioning for TV and film.

Alex and Michael are practicing their instrument as well as trying their hand in the L.A. acting and modeling scene, Richy is diligently rehearsing on his new maple drum kit (yes...it sounds awesome!) and Percy is busy doing his DJ remixes as well as working on projects for L Squared.
At the end of the month, 2 more original songs written by Lissa will be posted, more new pics, and several more venues, where they will be performing.

Lastly, watch for news on our upcoming contest!  We are very excited, because we will be getting you all involved in the songwriting process!  It will be posted in a blog in the next day or two!

Thanks for all your support.  We can't wait to meet all of you!
Hugs,
