 In the past days we have heard of John's affair. WE HAVE GOT TO MOVE ON!!!! It was wrong for him to run around on Elizabeth, but this happened two years ago. {She has known of this for two years}

He was not in office when this happened, {still does not make it right but} so what makes him different from the average person? I mean if I knew someone living down the road from me was running around on their spouse, does that mean I should go call up the Atlanta Journal, and report it?

No! We'll for one I would probably be laughed off the phone and second of all, it is none of my business what goes on in another man's home!

I still believe in John. Elizabeth has forgiven him and that is the important thing. {She being the one he wronged}

Is this kinda stuff gonna help get 37 Million out of poverty? Gonna end the war in Iraq? Gonna get health care for millions whom cannot afford it?

NO IT WON'T!!!!

So as my sister-in-law's little girl says "Let's build a bridge and get over it" I'm still a proud John Edwards Democrat, because we must do these things above, and not let petty problems {that do not consern the public}, to hender us!

It was wrong for John to cheat on Elizabeth, but it was two years ago when this happened. If Elizabeth has forgiven him, then so can I.

Stories this week:

I Love Obama's running mate.

Pelosi sold us out!

The FISA bill passed with Nancy Pelosi's support, this would give the President broader powers over wiretapping. She has lied to us. And after it's passage the President declared his support for it. I cannot tell you how many Democrats spoke up against this.

Contact Nancy Pelosi today, and tell her what you think of her support of the bill

Blogging in partnered with:

Stories this week:

Tim Russet {1950-2008}

GA JRE Poltical Watchdog's statement on the passing of Tim Russet:

Tim Russet will be missed. I don't know if "Meet the Press" will be able to find a person with his kind of way of questioning polticians. This seemed to almost be a right of passage for anyone who wanted to hold a major office in the United States. Mr. Russet you will be missed.

The GOP {Gas and Oil Party}

As conservative reporter Stephen Colbert would say "Spolier Alert".

President George Bush {R-Texas} says he wants Congress to remove the ban on off shore drilling. Which according to the U.S Department of the Interior, is all of the West and East Coast {which small places reserved for wildlife}, and the portion of the Gulf coast that is not already being drilled.

I think that this is just an election year tactic, to help get John McCain some brownie points with the American People. A Democratic Congressman was quoted as calling the Republican Party "The Gas and Oil Party". He hit the nail on the head with that statement. Considering the fact that Cheney, and several other Republicans in the federal government own oil companies.

National Polls: Presidential Race

CNN polls are reporting:

Barack Obama 47%

John McCain 43%

Now I don't trust National, or State polling, because for any Georgians who remember. About six years ago, then Democratic Governor Roy Barnes was a head of Republican challenger then State Senator Sonny Perdue. As we know Sonny Perdue defeat Roy Barnes.

BARNES {D} 937,062  46.3%

PERDUE {R} 1,041,677 51.4%

HAYES{L} 47,122   2.3%

Source: Georgia Secretary of State's office

Little did anyone know, that Barnes support John Edwards for President this go around. {And he was quoted as saying that Former First Lady Mari Barnes, was supporting Elizabeth for First Lady}

Woman says head scarf cost her seat near Obama

Source: CNN.com

A young Muslim woman said she and another woman were refused seats directly behind Barack Obama -- and in front of TV cameras -- at a Detroit rally because they wear head scarves.

My point of view on this:

Now from what I read, this was a volunteer who was responsible, for not allow the woman to sit behind Obama.

CNN story- Woman's scarp cost seat

Send Saxby Chambliss HOME in November!!

I think that we all agree, that we need to remove Bushism is from Washington. Saxby is not only a Bush Republican, but he has taken over one million dollars from the special intrests. We need to put a Democrat back in that seat. Here are the candidates and their websites below:

Dale Cardwell     website: www.dale08.com

Vernon Jones    website: www.vernonjonesforgeorgia.com

Rand Knight   website: www.knightforsenate.com

Josh Lanier   website: www.joshlanier.com

Jim Martin  website: www.martinforsenate.com

My take on this: I conducted an investagtion on Google.com of all these candidates. The three I like are Dale Cardwell, Rand Knight, and Jim Martin. I am supporting Dale Cardwell because he is most like John Edwards in my mind. Another thing Cardwell is old enough to have some sense, and young enought to do hands on work as a Senator. I don't trust Vernon Jones, I don't trust any supposted Democrat who would vote for George Bush twice! Josh Lanier really has no experiance in public service from what I understand. Jim Martin was over the State DFCS, at one time, I also supported him when he ran for Lt. Governor, back in 2006. Rand Knight, worked for Senator Sam Nunn, from what remember, so he has had a front row seat to see the workings of the Senate.  So its truly up to you, research things, find things out, and make a well informed choice.

Secretary of State Handel Announces Record Presidential Primary Turnout

Atlanta – Secretary of State Karen Handel today announced that Georgia voters participated in record numbers in the February 5 Presidential Preference Primary.

With 94 percent of precincts reporting, 44 percent of active registered voters cast over 1,966,600 votes in Tuesday's primary, far surpassing participation in the 1988 presidential primary which had 40 percent active voter turnout and 1,023,680 votes cast. Nearly 248,000 Georgians took advantage of the convenience of voting by mail-in absentee ballot or during the advance voting week prior to February 5. This compares to the 2004 presidential primary when just over 48,000 Georgians cast votes by absentee ballot or during advance voting week.

"Georgians voted in historic numbers yesterday. Turnout in our state has been very low in past years, so it's a very positive sign that so many Georgians made the time to exercise one of our most important rights," Handel said.

"Our state's county elections officials and the thousands of poll workers are to be commended for their management of the election process amid record voter turnout in many parts of the state. As we expected, the process ran smoothly," said Handel.

This year's presidential primary was the first statewide election to be conducted under Georgia's requirement that voters show photo ID when voting in-person, and the fourth election overall in which photo ID has been required for in-person voting.

Presidential Primary Results for Georgia

In 2008

Obama: 66.4% {704,247}

Clinton: 31.1% {330,026}

Edwards: 1.7% {18,209}

Others combined: 0.8% {8,369}

I went back and compared it 2004 results

Kerry: 46.8% {293,265}

Edwards: 41.4% {259,386}

Sharpton:  6.2% {39,129}

Clinton won areas where Edwards won in 2004, and Obama won areas that Kerry won.

Obama won around the Atlanta Area {Dekalb and Fulton}

Clinton won around the Rome area and Cobb County Area.

They both won equally among the other counties, if no mistake.

Hillary, and Obama are acting like children. They don’t seem to care about what would help America, but how they could help themselves. Edwards during the SC Debate, made a point that we have got to stop acting like five year olds. We are Democrats, the party action not reaction the party of prinicple to not appeasment. We have got renew our parties commitment to working class families, and John tried to do. We need to tell Howard Dean and the Democratic party, that we must nominate John Edwards as our nominee for President. He is the only one whom can take on John McCain. Now as for a running mate. I don’t think Obama {after the news media reported what his ex-pastor said} would make a good running mate. I really don’t think Hillary would make a good running mate either because of her vote on the Iraq war. She says that if she would have known now back then she would have voted no, but I have never admit she was wrong. Edwards has come out an admitted that he was wrong to vote for the war. We need a leader who can admit his mistakes. So that raps up this rant. Subscribe, if you would like future rants like this one.
