Keep resonating, Dear Friends, with Love And Compassion. We are all connected, We are each perfection. There is no divide, There is no border, There are no special hoops to jump through. Wishing you all the best in the New Year! Believe in your dreams, Act in your truth, Love yourself wholeheartedly! XO Lynette
"No kind action ever stops with itself. One kind action leads to another. Good example is followed. A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees. The greatest work that kindness does to others is that it makes them kind themselves."- Amelia Earhardt
"So many gods, so many creeds, So many paths that wind and wind, While just the art of being kind Is all the sad world needs." - Ella Wheeler Wilcox
"We often think of peace as the absence of war; that if the powerful countries would reduce their arsenals, we could have peace. But if we look deeply into the weapons, we see our own minds - our prejudices, fears, and ignorance. Even if we transported all the bombs to the moon, the roots of war and the reasons for bombs would still be here, in our hearts and minds, and sooner or later we would make new bombs. Seek to become more aware of what causes anger and separation, and what overcomes them. Root out the violence in your life, and learn to live compassionately and mindfully"-Thich Nhat Hanh

Hello there buddies-o-mine! The sun was shining today so decided to take the music outdoors. Trying out a new video camera that my oldest son is using for some cool video projects. The song is called 'Natural Thing To Do'..something I wrote that basically is about moving forward..and there's lots of
natural things in the background of the video like the sound of children from a
nearby school, birds, my dog, light breeze and garden smells (well now, I could smell 'em even though you can't :-)).
Feeling some Summer weather here in the Southern Hemi. I even picked the first of the strawberries from the garden!!
So now, here's a video
made with heart :-)*** Thanks for listenin' and for your very presence. Keep resonatin' in Love and Light! xo Lynette

Press Release - Lynette Diaz May 26, 2009 'Living Before Dying' takes home an Honorable Mention in the The 12th Annual Unisong International Songwriting Contest in the Social/Political music category.Singer-Songwriter, Lynette Diaz, of Christchurch, New Zealand has come away with a second songwriting honorable mention in 2009 for the song, 'Living Before Dying' A.R. Scott of Unisong had this to say about all the winning songs. “This year featured a very high overall quality of songs and writers, with diverse and varied entries from a multitude of countries representing every continent on Earth except Antarctica (any songwriting penguins out there?). The judging therefore was extremely competitive and to be singled out anywhere in the top 15% of all songs submitted was no easy feat.” Lynette comments, “I chose to submit 'Living Before Dying' in the social/political category of this year’s Unisong contest, as I believe the song's main message is one of Universal community and dignity. I’ve previously stated that one person can make a difference in the world, and that many of us, resonating with the spirit of social and moral justice, can create positive large scale changes.” 'Living Before Dying' is featured on Lynette's debut 14-track CD, "Lyrics In My Head", which is available direct from the artist or online outlets, including CDbaby.com, Itunes and Amazon.com Artist Enquiries: info@lynettediaz.com websites: www.lynettediaz.com www.myspace.com/jlynettediaz www.reverbnation.com/lynettediaz

"We merge, then disperse, yet dance again when the harmony of our souls reconnect in the beautiful, resonating fields of forever" - Lynette Diaz, March 2009
Sweet friends,
Over the course of the last two years, my Life has shifted dramatically from that Life which I had been living. With those shifts, I've come into my strength, my courage to just be and live in my truths, my purpose here and now.
I have personal matters that have come up, which many of my dear friends know about, but I won't reiterate right now, as mainly, I wanted to post about how living in the 'here and now', yes, that ever present moment, has deeply made any struggles that I have or am going through, feel solvable, feel like a valuable lesson rather than a curse, and have given me even more strength and courage than I thought possible.
I used to write poetry before music. Since I was 12yo I have been putting pen to paper to try and make sense of my world. How could a young girl, in a small town, cope with the mental anguish of feeling different and isolated. Much of what I wrote, I usually tossed in the wastebasket. The most honest, confessional poetry always found it's way there, as I didn't want my family getting an idea of the 'real' me. That story and pattern continued throughout my adult life. Writing then tossing the "best" stuff because it was raw and exciting and well, revealing. It revealed my true nature, my spark, my sunshine. At those times in my life, I desperately wanted to reveal my true self to the world, but instead, revealed a pseudo-Lynette. The one fabricated for the box that I lived in.
I wrote the poem above this morning, fresh from sleep. I had just read a blog post from my friend, Gigi, about her dog, Oliver, who she will be putting down to sleep this afternoon. He is ill and suffering and it's what has to happen. I have been reading alot lately about, suffering and death, also about truth, and love, and the spirit realm. All topics which grip us all at some point.
For me, I see a link, a web to it all, a bridging and an entertwining. I believe I am complicit in the path that I am on. I suffer because I fear, I project those fears into my life. "What if I had..., Should I have done..., I can't possibly" . False limitations shut the door, false limitations leave bitterness and resentment, false limitations inhibit emotional, physical, and most dear, spiritual progress.
I've had a major shift in my life over the last two years. I am complicit in the happiness and joy that I feel as well. I live my truths, live my purpose. I love more freely, me and all those around me. It's much easier to bridge love, courage and strength. Even in challenging times, I feel much more centered in self-knowledge, that it is I who frames the pictures I see.
Live in your truths, if you don't know them, get to know yourself. Fact is, you probably know them, but don't want to own them, because of fear. You are here, on this earthly plane for a short time, for a purpose that is at your center, at the core of who you are. Develop your dream, even if only in your mind, for little by little that spark in your mind might turn into a flame and guide you to real satisfaction. The kind that comes from fulfilling your lifes purpose.
I'm working on my flame, my purpose, even in trying times. I know so many of you are too. I know that those of you reading this, are meant, at this moment, to light your inner candle and begin to cultivate your truths.
Lots of BIG resonations for Be'ing your truth! XO Lynette

Keith Olbermann, a commentator in the U. S. makes a six minute heart-felt commentary about the passage of Prop 8 last week in the State of California. Prop 8 amends the State Constitution of California making it unconstitutional for same-sex couples to marry in California. This issue is about bigotry over love. About the denial of human rights to all. It's not really about religion, for the truly religious are supposed to champion universal love . I agree with Olbermann, that it's about the ability for humanity to LOVE, one and all, unconditionally, and for all of us, whatever our sexual orientation to live in a world that recognises all humanity as equal.

Hi Sweet Friends,
Time off my feet has been very good for guitar practice and songwriting. I've just put up another rough garageband demo, called "Emily".
Inspired by the Poem by Emily Dickinson, "This Is My Letter To The World", which is in the public domain.
This is my letter to the World That never wrote to Me — The simple News that Nature told — With tender MajestyHer Message is committed To Hands I cannot see — For love of Her — Sweet — countrymen — Judge tenderly — of Me - Emily Dickinson I can't tell you how big an influence her poetry was to me when I was younger. I guess it was inevitable that I write this.
Lots of Love to you all!
Keep resonatin'! Lynette
