Hi everyone!

The CD sales have been pretty good, but since this project was a very ambitious undertaking, I still have a ways to go to break even on the whole thing.  I'm REALLY hoping that sales will pick up in the next two weeks and I'll hopefully get out of the red and into the black with this CD!

I got an amazing review from ChristmasReviews.com.  Here's the link:http://www.christmasreviews.com/wjennifergraf2.shtml

I am thankful to everyone who has bought a CD so far - you have my eternal gratitude!

Please consider listening to some clips and buying a few CD's to give as Christmas gifts this year.  I'm very proud of this project and really believe that you won't be disappointed in the result.

Thanks so much everyone!  And Merry Christmas to all!

You can now get my CD two ways:  CDBaby.com or iTunes.

It's been selling well so far on CDBaby (sold out a few times) and is now in stock again.  Order yourself a copy and some for holiday gifts now!

Well, the time is almost here! The CD is at the manufacturer, and once I get the hard copy proof to approve, it'll be off to the presses!

I've posted some more songs from the album - and these are the mastered, finished products! I'll add more soon, but there's a few to listen to to get an even bigger sneak peak into the finished product!

Hi everyone!

I've uploaded a sneak peak of the first song from the new CD - "The Wexford Carol." IT's still not the finished version - needs to be mastered - but it's almost ready to go!

I'm joined on this song by:

Liz Francisco - alto
Matt Knecht - tenor
Matt Francisco - baritone
Terry Musselman - keyboard

Well, it's official! The new CD is in the works and recording started tonight. I'm reminded of what a painstaking detailed process it is to get everything just right - and how it takes so much longer than you think it will! (And that a few hours of singing really can help you forget the crappy day you had - haha!)

Nonetheless, I'm super happy with how we've started - got down two tracks - The Wexford Carol and Remember O Thou Man. Still some tweaking to do on both, but we got some really great stuff so far. Special thanks to Liz, Matt, and Matt for putting in a hard evening's work for some beautiful quartet stuff! You guys are awesome!

Some other songs slated for appearance on this CD:

O Magnum Mysterium - Vittoria's classic choral piece. We'll have an 11 voice ensemble singing for this one. I'm a little nervous getting the whole thing together with all those different voices, but the end result should be stunning! And I'm so thankful and happy for my wonderful friends who will be helping out on this one!

All Hail to the Days - this piece is one of my faves. My sister has agreed to sing this as a duet with me, just like we did on the last CD with Silent Night. I'm really looking forward to it.

The Huron Carol - a beautiful carol of French Canadian origin. The plan is to have guitar accompaniment on this one. I'm excited to hear how it will come together.

Es is ein Ros' entsprungen - I'm planning to use the version from the last CD but make it longer - add another verse, keeping it acappella and singing both parts.

I'm also looking at two pieces that are three part womens' voices in which I will sing all parts. Kind of get a sound that's a mixture of Anonymous 4 and Enya maybe. We'll see.

I'm thinking of some others too, but nothing is set in stone.

Once we get closer to finishing the recording aspect, I'll start to throw out some potential album names and see what kind of input I get. It's always hard to choose a good CD name!

We have some recording scheduled for the week after the 4th of July, so I'll let you know about the progress! :-)

So it came to my attention that my blog here is listed in a separate page and has its own little heading and info spot. Well, it lists me as single (which i am not) but i'm not sure how to change that over to married! So if any one knows how to do that, please help a myspace-challenged singer get it set right! Thanks!

As the last day of the year winds down, I wanted to take an opportunity to say Happy Holidays to everyone!

This December was just as busy as last year (although no gigs in Ohio this time.) Running from gig to gig almost every day leaves little time for sitting back and enjoying the beauty of the season. But it was a successful season none the less. We had caroling jobs with past clients and with new ones. We added new singers to the roster with much success.

I was also pleased at the success of my CD this year. Getting in touch with old and new friends about the CD turned out to be a great impetus to get sales going.

And 2009 will (hopefully) be the year of the next CD. I've decided to stick with Christmas again, but with a different twist. I have always been involved with singing a lot of early music - ever since college. So I've decided to do an album of early music Christmas carols. All the ethereal and mysterious pieces from days of yore. The saying goes to stick with what you know - and I know Christmas, and I know (although not an expert) early music.

I like how having a Christmas CD results in having the listener bring your CD out every year for the holiday rotation. It keeps you a regular part of their annual listening. I'll write more as we get moving on the project!

Thanks to all and Happy New Year!

Well, I felt compelled to leave a little message for anyone reading. I rarely visit MySpace (sorry, but true.)

I'm off of a busy singing season - The Merry Widow in April and May, followed immediately by The Student Prince, and then Pirates of Penzance. We performed Pirates in the lovely Buxton Opera House in England at the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival. Awards will be announced on Saturday, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

The fall is completely in limbo right now, as I wait to hear on several fronts what performances I'll be active in.

I'll update all later. But now, sadly, I must get ready for a less than exciting shift at the retail job!

Well, I've been kind of missing in action lately - at least from MySpace. Sometimes life fluctuates and other things keep us away and busy. Unfortunatley it's been non-music stuff keeping me away, but that is hopefully easing up a bit soon, and I'll be able to get back into a normal routine.

I'm happy to report that my performances in September went very well, and that things are shaping up to be another successful Christmas season, as we book more gigs with my caroling business. (www.oldetownecarolers.com)

Also gearing up for a recital in January - I'll post about the exact date soon. It'll be a joint recital with baritone Jonathan Lechner, my current voice colleague at QHS and former voice teacher (high school) to yours truly. It should be a great show and a chance to perform TRULY locally.

I'm also hoping for success again this year with my CD, "Tidings of Christmas." It was released last November and did very well. I'm hoping for a similiar success this year! If you haven't already, hop on over the CDBaby to listen to more tracks and purchase your own copy!

That's all for now. Take care!
