Hey All

Hope you read this, and, hope you enjoy! Lots of updates,

If I could work out how to post a poll on here, I would ask you guys to check the tunes on the player, and, vote for our first single, we are kinda tossing up between Damned and Strange Emotions, but, some others have mentioned Cry For You and Everything Changes so... guess what? We dont have a clue! Drop us a line, or comment here with your picks, and, hell, if you want, get yourself down when we shoot the video and be IN it. Could be fun!

As far as Videos, we have a venue, and, a producer, so, once we pick the song, and, the recordings are finished, shooting will begin, and, you will get to enjoy us anywhere you can see the video (and, no Youtube copyright problems nonsense, it WILL be on there).

Recordings are flyin at the moment, lots of new songs and ideas, plus, the "new guy" will be announced shortly. The lead guitarist that is the final piece of the puzzle, and, will blow your minds!! Hopefully, the guests we want for some of the songs will get their parts down soon too, and, the forthcoming album will be something to experience, but, time will tell.

Gigs, well, there will be a couple announced shortly, and, in the meantime, give us a shout for tickets to the Corporation in Sheffield, Sat 24th October, for a night that will be immense....

Tyla & The Dogs D'Amour : Full elctric band show, and, to date, the only one in the UK this year.

www.myspace.com/tylaandthedogsdamour

Silverjet : Our good friends and Sheffield lads, kick ass Rock n Roll, and, hopefully a couple of new songs that I hear they are working on just now.

www.myspace.com/silverjet

And of course, yours truly.

And as always, remember, if you are friends on here, give us a shout, always happy to talk and get to know people

Finally, if you are in a band round the South Yorkshire are, you could do far worse than check out The Noiseworks.  A cracking rehearsal studio in Rotherham, incidently, the one we generally use. Mark is a top guy, and, this is a new place, which, I have no doubt will become one of the top places in the region, so, get in early. Good gear, great rooms, and, some VERY good recording options for you skint new bands

Catch you all soon

Evening,

Well, a music update on here today. Lots of changes with members, comings and goings, and, some guest appearances on the new album in the pipeline, and, the page will be updated soon. In the meantime, some much needed refresh on here.

Kick It Up and No More Heroes, re-recorded (in part) and remixed.

In addition, a few new tracks, still at demo stage, and, featuring Steve from Cause Of Denial on lead vocals, including the slightly heavier than normal "Damned", and, finally something resembling a ballad, although, not quite ;) In the shape of "Those Days Are Gone".

Hope you enjoy, and, if you do, let us know

April 19, 2009 - Sunday
Well, for all you "in the know", you may remember JJ's old band Grindstone, featuring Stevie from Cause of Denial (another great Sheffield band). Well, They are back, check the top friends, and, have a listen to 4 new tracks, recently recorded, with, the emphasis more on the voice of Stevie. Including a track "Burn The World", penned in the main by Sslug, now of the wicked Liberty Slaves (also the new band of Ory, the ex-Angel, as you may have seen)

Big update on VA should be coming after Sunday, and, until then, thats all folks, go check Grindstone and enjoy

Current mood:  ashamed

This is a re-post of Ricky Warwicks blog. I have heard about this from a few people in the last couple of days, so, I echo the sentiments below, and, somebody somewhere knows something.

JJ

"A very good mate of mine Tyla from the band Dogs D'Amour has had a 1990 Gibson Black J 200 Acoustic guitar stolen from his recent show at the Casbah Club in Sheffield. Needless to say the man is very distraught over this. Anyone out there with any info or who may be approached by someone selling said guitar please get in touch with Tyla at his myspace page www.myspace.comtylaandthedogsdamour
I hope the scumbag/scumbags who did this.... rot in hell!!!"

Beloved myspace creatures, we are proud to present a new permanent member of the band, Laffey, who will partner Ory on the guitars. He is twenty, he hails from Barnsley, he is an ex-member of Dead Rock Stars, he plays a Tele on a Mesa Boogie and he looks cool as fuck. The happy union was formalized yesterday, after a week or so of flirting and an exciting studio performance. For wishes, congrats etc visit/befriend:

Welcome bro, the ride is on...

Violent Angel

September 1, 2008 - Monday

So yeah, that was that, some sunday nite.

Three violent angels jive - in motherfuckin West St live.

Forget about the ruthless rip-off and the mostly sat crowd, and keep the heavy  decibels, the sweaty performances and the cool employees. Once more happy few were there, and happy few have enjoyed. A show's a show, obviously. JJ's first time on both bass and lead vox and Bones' first time on drums for this ensemble, plus Sslug's gonne missing, plus 6 brand new, briefly-rehearsed tracks that hit the audience for the first time, and still the band stood as such in full esteem, spitting words of concience and shooting riffs of anger. The playlist consisted of four tracks from "kick it up" and two unreleased ones, "Noose" and "Cry for you". In fact the whole night was a true rock'n'roll happening, with Maeven and Silverjet (in appearence order) rocking the place hard and steady, great bands in awesome form. I was delighted to see among the crowd Simon, Violent Angel's unofficial photographer armed with his telescopic lens and his evil smile of genius, which means new live shots up on myspace soon. Nice one boys, till the next time...

have a good sin.

Hail all you rock'n'roll brothers and sisters, Violent Angel now give you the opportunity to enrich your already heavy cd collection with our first EP release "Kick It Up". Fading Ways, probably the coolest artist collective around (and we mean around the world), were kind enough to endorse
our first evil recordings and make them available online at
http://fwmusicstore.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=10477&osCsid=5d3b0d99276cf7c0323005b5587551f8.
Needless to describe our trepidation before the spectacle of "Kick It Up" being advertised next to Buckchery's "Dark Butterfy" on the FW home page (check web page for links). So there you go. All you stubborn rock'n'roll fans, mad collectors, carreer criminals, school girls, working class heros, professional escorts, college boys, truck drivers, outcast poets, sexy housewives and so many more it's clearly too tedius to mention, get your fingers moving and support the band by ordering your own copy! It costs £4.99 and the money's for the cause of vitality and viability of the independent, self-produced underground music of our days. For those of you who are less romantic or super skint, our page is always there for everybody to enjoy music for free. Very soon previews of promotional stuff (tees, badges etc) and the first independent reviews will be uploaded as well, plus Audrey will be giving you updates and news, so stay tuned.

And Come Along With Us!
