We've only ever done 4 gigs, the only London show was supporting our pals Evil Nine at Hoxton Bar And Grill. We've changed the set a lot and thrown some surprises in there, taking a little inspiration from Steph and Dave's Nite versions..expect live remixes, Losers tracks, some familiar voices, and Losers Tom to be out of his mind on Jack Daniels and Coke, as per every gig. *sigh*

Thank you Everyone!

Our first London show went off with a bang. We both loved it!! Big ups to EVIL NINE for having us onboard their fine ship and ALEX METRIC who continued to rock it all night.
There are some fan photos up on our facebook page (thanks Mari!). We meant to take a video but I forgot to press record. Whoops!

Speak soon.

Hey

Slyde were so chuffed with our mix of "you're my fix" that they're going to go to radio with it and also make a video. Cool beans! If you haven't heard it Eddy will be playing it within the first half hour of his show on XFM on Friday (10pm, 12th September).

Drop us a line, let us know what you think.

Here's the press release :

Slyde - 'You're My Fix' (Remixes)

Label: Finger Lickin' Records
Release Date: 3/11/08
Catalogue Number: FLR93

Since releasing their critically acclaimed long player Everyone's Entitled To Our Opinion back in March this year, Jason Laidback & Robin 12Tree have been rapidly garnering support worldwide. Touring the US, playing to 10,000 in Poland, playing live on Radio 1 from Glastonbury and now about to embark upon a tour of Australia. Their recent remixes of Frequency by Miles Dyson and Napt have secured them a number one spot on Beatport. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang has become a club anthem and now perhaps the strongest tune from the album gets a right royal remixing. Featuring the sensual allure of Katty Heath (Mylo, Bent etc) you could easily be mistaken for thinking this was a Goldfrapp record. Brimming with attitude and a contagious chorus, could this be the single to take the Slyde to the top?

Step up Eddy Temple Morris (XFM) and Tom Rhysmix (Cooper Temple Clause) collectively known as the Losers. Together as production/remix duo they have been responsible for some of the hottest guitar driven dance bootys of this decade including Rage against the Machine, Gossip as well as the peak time monster interpretation of Candi Staton's You Got the Boot. These boys have delivered, in their own words "their best remix ever", and they are not wrong. Next up we invite those running man super heroes the Utah Saints to do the damage – ouch! This is also HUGE, already road tested by the elite at this summer's festivals a house/breaks/acid mongrel with a pedigree to win best in show. So impressed with the package, and slightly feeling upstaged Slyde felt obliged to remix their own track for the breaks arena and b'woy they nailed it. Filthy squelching b.lines, slammin snares and those signature Slyde rhythms take us to a ruder than rude bassline breakdown to destroy all non-believers.

Finger Lickin' are 150% behind this release and we need your support to help put this tune where it deserves to be.

Remember the Sex 'N' Dugs video featuring Filthy Reg. …(www.youtube.com/fingerlickinrecords)

(Excerpt from notion Magazine - and a few others, around the time of Dance Rocks LP release)
Why did you call your remix group 'Losers'?

Its a direct reaction against the American ethos of having to be the winner all the time, (while I appreciate not all Americans are like that) I hate that whole
'we are the greatest, we only play to win' attitude that testosterone heavy jocks are brainwashed with (before being sent overseas to murder non Christians). I'd
rather do things for the love of it, and be a Loser, but be happy losing.
It's an old fashioned ethos of being happy just taking part in a game, rather than having your happiness depend on the outcome.
It's more personal than that too...I used to work and be friends with a man
who turned out to be so horrible I can't even say his name without ruining my day, and the only thing he cares for is money, that's his whole world, money, success, more money, fame... and he's the type of person who'd step on anyone
to get that. I'm the opposite, so I'm a Loser...and very happy being a Loser.
