Black Diamond now has the board it deserves!

We are the proud owners of the DDA AMR24.  This is a huge console (nearly 11'), with 36 mic inputs and 24 groups, all with sweet 4-band parametric EQs.  This particular desk has the uncommon option of a full digital meter bridge.  And signal routing limitations are now a thing of the past; with this thing, you can send any signal to anywhere.

The board came from long-time Portland studio Sound Impression, and was nicely maintained (thank you, Decker!) while it had many many artists' songs pass through it.  It will see many more here at BDRS.

We have also elevated the control room floor and are adding a producer's station.  There will be more acoustical treatment in the control room and main room, making the spaces sound even better. 

We have a few other surprises too; one of them is 8 feet tall and kinda scary...

Just wrapped up a solid weekend of tracking the mighty Proven, with Billy Graziadei of Biohazard and Suicide City producing. Billy was awesome to work with, and we'll be swapping tracks back and forth as the Proven project progresses. Proven is a strong band (and a cool bunch of dudes); I think this project is going to be a milestone for them. Billy knows how to push them to be better than they think they are. I am proud to be a part of it.
