yesterday i posted a few vidoes of bands that we've drawn our influence from for our upcoming record. i thought it would be a good way to illustrate the sound we would be going for(don't worry, were still gonna be as energetic as ever). but the idea of putting up the music videos was awesome. so starting today, i will be posting Bullet Train to Vegas' Video of the Day. It's gonna be educational and most of all fun! I'm going to try and dig up as much awesome music from the 90's and some from the 80's. Basically anything that all of us grew up listening to and still revisit to this day. so around 5pm(Pacific) everyday, I'll be posting up a video. Stay tuned!

oh yeah we want feedback. If you see a band you like and want to know more, write us and ask or just google them!

ok, so this was the post the proposed the question:

ok, so this came up on the last tour and we can't seem to come up with a clear cut answer. we need your help!

if there was a perfect strip of water next to a strip of land who would win a race between dolphin and cheetah? now keep in mind, at the one mile mark, they switch. cheetah gets into water with a snorkel and fins and dolphin gets on land with rocket rollerblades.

is it too close to call?

these were your answers:

neither or them win..cause i'm faster than both of them in or out of water ...

well.. although im partial to the cheetah, id have to go with Dolphin.. b/c as everyone knows, we who skate own all. like the saying goes, ftr-stp, so id say dolphins for kickin the rules' ass. ...

so you guys smoke alot of dope??
and duh the steel worker would win..

i would say its a close race till they switch then the dolphin all the way. i mean come on, animal strength vs. rocket perpulsion?

well, dolphins dont have feet. the dolphin would win if you could strap the blades to its stomache and it can lay there.

well it depends, how many rollerblades are we talkin' here? 2 or 4

dolphins can't wear rocket rollerblades...they have no feet. so obviously the cheetah would be the winner......duh! : )

The dolphin, because cats HATE water, and plus, if you strapped that thing to fast enough rocket-rollerblades, theres no stopping it.

Dolphin would win(I think)-
Reason - Let's take the min. speed of both of the animals:
Cheetah - 60 mph. - with acceleration, it may take 1 to 1 1/4 minutes for the first mile
Dolphin - Well, I can't find it. But think a little bit, once the cheetah gets in the water, then all it has are flippers, not that fast. Once the dolphin switches, it has rocket shoes, so I think that the dolphin would win.

its very close but it think that when the cheetah gets in the water he'll do better than the dolphin on land
i think in the end the cheetah would win

thats my vote
now set it up and we'll see

and take bets too

dolphine all the way. the chettah needs arm floaties and then it might be a race.

Dolphin wins, hands down. All the nature shows tell us that they're super smart, so they'd be able to adapt to the land better than the dumb cat would be able to adapt to the water. Ever dropped a house cat in the tub? Yeah. Flippers or no, that Cheetah would be pissy and more likely to hiss and complain than start paddling.

well is the ground paved or is it grass?

gotta go with dolphin cause it would look better wearing diamond space gloves. see you in vegas

no man the dolphin loses .. he cant breath outside of water!

dolphin all the way man!
....who could beat the rocket rollerblades?!
...since the dolphin has rocket rollerblades though, i think the cheetah should get to waterboard...

the dolphin would win. cats hate water.

This is easy: Dolphin wins because a cheetah can't sprint for too long. The cheetah would never go in the water after a mile (if it made it that far) but the dolphin is so smart that just before exiting the water it would have already killed (and gutted) another dolphin and worn it is carcass as protection against the arrid conditions of dry land. It would never even have to turn its rockets on.
However, the only downfall of not employing said rockets might be that the cheetah could then catch both dolphins and devour them.
My money is still on the dolphin though.
-Dario

i think it would have to be the dolphin, only because, everytime i think about the cheetah swimming i think of how slow and dumb that cougar looked on homeward bound after those dogs launched it into the river, anything like that, even with flippers wouldnt be able to compete with the acme rocket rollerblades.

so far, dolphin is the clear favorite!

so here are the lyrics for the songs we have posted up. enjoy! CUT THE PARTY TO PIECES the fate of a 1000 years undone. ran off with the careless whisper. run these sheers across their throats. bleed the banter from this crowd. said so. so long. induce this festive disease. hands reach the sky but never touch the sun again. PRESCRIPTION FOR THE BLIND sun spots we choose to see. the common scar this is retinal. a tired path bi-directional. another fix from the pharmacy. black out my eyes. white out the sky. a new light. the old face. the pleasures mine. wanted answers seize the day. thievery absolves the airwave. THE CAMERA EYE BACKBITE in death we pay again. cut out the image eye. and stick them up in view. extract the soulless lie. our dreams are not enough. whats on the billboard. can you hear us now. we're biting back. its coming down. the plan derailed. we shot it down. render hopeless. our value is bought again. THIS BED'S MEANT FOR 2 the canvas stretched completely. across the soiled body. the kiss the kill the itch we feel to lick a human hunger. our heat is once collapsing. electric feet again. the dance that strips the floors of what is left to break. the gaze with eyes electric. the shocking presence. once would feed again.

We're going to be announcing in a few days who we are signing with. In any case it will be a suprise and the record comes out May 31st. We will leave for tour at the end of April(another full US tour). We will have the new album with us when we leave so you guys won't have to wait until it hits stores. Soon you will be hearing a lot about us. We will be on tour all year when it comes out. Hopefully we'll get over to Europe before the year is out. Stay tuned!

So we'll be wrapping up the recording of the album titled "We put scissors where our mouths are" the end of the month(starting this week to be exact). It will be done on January 3rd. In any case here is a track listing of all the songs that will appear on the record. 1. Cut the Party to Pieces 2. A prescription for the blind 3. The Camera Eye Backbite 4. On the Disclosure 5. RFLCTR BTZ 6. This Bed's meant for two 7. And Sorrows Native Son 8. Feeding God to the lions 9. Removing Ground 10. Fashion the new Black 11. Some Goodbyes last forever We will be posting up some new songs once the recording is finished, so keep an eye out the first week of January. 2005 is shaping up to be a very busy year for us and we can't wait.
