Der Held kommt mit ein paar Freunden an, die Dudelsack,
 Geige, Flöte und diverse andere seltsame Instrumente
 spielen. Der Drache schläft ein (wegen der ganzen

Tanzerei). Dann verschwinden sie wieder ... Ohne die 
Prinzessin.



VIKING METAL: 
Der Held kommt mit einem Drachenschiff an, tötet den
 Drachen mit seiner mächtigen Axt, häutet den Drachen 
und isst ihn, vergewaltigt die Prinzessin,
raubt ihren Besitz und brennt die Burg nieder, bevor er
 wieder verschwindet.



DEATH METAL: 
Der Held kommt an, tötet den Drachen, fickt die 
Prinzessin und tötet sie, dann verschwindet er.



BLACK METAL: 
Der Held kommt um Mitternacht an, tötet den Drachen und
 spießt ihn vor der Burg auf. Dann schändet er die
 Prinzessin und trinkt ihr Blut in einem unheiligen
 Ritual, bevor er sie tötet. Dann spießt er sie neben 
dem Drachen auf.



GORE METAL: 
Der Held kommt an, tötet den Drachen und verteilt
 dessen Gedärme vor der Burgmauer. Dann fickt er die 
Prinzessin und tötet sie. Er fickt erneut ihren toten
 Körper, schlitzt ihren Bauch auf und isst ihre Gedärme.
 Dann fickt er ihre Leiche zum dritten Mal, verbrennt
 sie und fickt sie ein letztes Mal.



DOOM METAL: 
Der Held kommt an, sieht wie riesig der Drache ist und 
denkt sich, dass er ihn niemals besiegen wird. Er wird
 depressiv und begeht Selbstmord. Der Drache verspeist 
seinen Körper und die Prinzessin zum Nachtisch. Das ist 
das Ende dieser traurigen Geschichte.



PROGRESSIVMETAL: 
Der Held kommt mit seiner Gitarre an und spielt ein 26
-minütiges Solo. Der Drache tötet sich selbst aus
Langeweile. Der Held betritt das Schlafgemach der 
Prinzessin und spielt ein weiteres Solo mit allen 
technischen Raffinessen, die er während der letzten
 Jahre auf der Musikhochschule gelernt hat. Die
 Prinzessin flüchtet und sucht verzweifelt nach dem 
Heavy Metal Helden. 



GLAM METAL: 
Der Held kommt an, klaut der Prinzessin ihr Make-up 
und versucht, die ganze Burg in einem netten Pink
 anzumalen.

GOTHIC METAL: 
Der Held kommt mit Rüschenhemd und Seidenschal
 angeritten. Der Drache tut ihm nichts, weil er ihn für
 eine Fledermaus hält. Die Prinzessin will nicht mit ihm
 mitgehen, weil sie ihn für ein Mädchen hält. Der Held
 geht alleine und bekennt sich aus lauter Frust zum Doom
-Metal. Dann bringt er sich wegen Depressionen um.



NU METAL: 
Der Held kommt in einem heruntergekommenen Honda Civic
 an und versucht, gegen den Drachen zu kämpfen. Dabei 
verbrennt er zu Tode, weil seine bescheuerten 
Baggy-pants Feuer fangen.



GRINDCORE:
 Der Held kommt an, irgendetwas Unidentifizierbares 
grunzend & kreischend und verschwindet nach einer
 Minute wieder.

Many people who are new to veganism get caught up in an endless and frustrating search for "hidden" animal ingredients. Some vegans become consumed to the brink of obsession with unearthing the tiniest trace of animal derivatives. Sadly, this misses the point of being vegan, which is to reduce suffering. Instead, these vegans end up chasing rainbows and ultimately heap anguish upon themselves and those around them. A classic scenario that illustrates this absurdity is the vegan who idly walks past a homeless person while pondering whether or not the diglycerides in her bread are animal derived. Wouldn't it be more in the spirit of veganism to forget about the diglycerides and share some bread and conversation with the person in need?

There are specks of animal products in practically every commercially produced commodity from glue to plastics, from sugar to wine, from medicinal tablets to paints. There is little that we encounter throughout our day that is not the product or by-product of the slaughter industry. Even books about veganism or animal rights are likely bound with animal-based glue, printed on equipment lubricated with animal fats, and packaged by workers who eat meat and wear leather shoes. So where do vegans draw the line?

Sense and sensibility must be our guiding factors. Otherwise, we are doomed to insanity, for persisting in achieving the, as yet, impossible will surely drive us mad. Yes, it is infuriating that animal parts are used so pervasively. But is it realistic and prudent to rebel against the minutia while draining energies that could be better spent in eradicating the source of these components?

Focus on the "bigger picture" and abstain from buying, using, or supporting any commodities, ingredients, or enterprises that are obviously and incontrovertibly nonvegan. However, avoid getting caught up in the "I'm more vegan than thou" syndrome that emphasizes personal perfection at the cost of realistic and achievable goals. By accentuating the attainable, you will release yourself from needless anxiety and can help make compassionate living more appealing and practical to nonvegans, which will do far more to advance the vegan cause and end suffering than all other actions combined.

FLEISCH TÖTET MENSCHEN / MEAT KILLS PEOPLE


...durch HUNGER: Laut FAO (Lebensmittel- und Landwirtschaftsorganisation der UNO) hungern derzeit 850 Millionen Menschen. Rund 15 Millionen Kinder sterben jährlich an chronischer Unterernährung. 80% dieser hungernden Kinder sterben in Ländern, die eigentlich einen Nahrungsmittelüberschuss aufweisen. Doch das getreide landet in Tiermägen, das Fleisch dieser Tiere auf den Tellern der Menschen in den Industriestaaten. Fleischverzehr unterstützt ein globales system, das Nahrungsmittel von den Hungernden abzieht. Menschen hungern in unmittelbarer Nähe von Soja- und Getreidefeldern, deren Erträge in Europa/USA/Südamerika an Tiere verfüttert werden. Über den Umweg des Weltmarktes befinden sich Fleischesser in einem direkten Konkurrenzverhältnis mit den Ärmsten und Hungernden der Welt.

Vegetarische/vegane Ernährung ist die einzige Lösung für das weltweit dringlichste Problem sozialer Ungerechtigkeit, den Welthunger. Denn: isst man Fleisch, schafft man Hunger, Leid und Tod.

...durch UMWELTZERSTÖRUNG: Tierwirtschaft ist (mit)verantwortlich für Bodenerosion, Versteppung, Entwaldung und Klimawandel. Die für die Fleischproduktion genutzten Flächen wechseln rasch von fruchtbarem Boden zu leblosen Wüsten, und die Konzerne ziehen weiter. Zurück bleibt zerstörtes Land und eine hungernde Bevölkerung. Wissenschaftler schätzen, dass die Hälfte des Ackerlandes in den nächsten 40 Jahren verloren gehen wird. Schon heute schrumpft die bebaubare Fläche jährlich, während die Weltbevölkerung täglich um 250.000 Menschen anwächst. Um die verlorenen Flächen zu ersetzen, werden Regenwälder abgeholzt oder durch Brandrodung kurzzeitig urbar gemacht. 325.000 qkm Regenwald werden jedes Jahr vernichtet, um dort Tiere für den Verzehr zu züchten.

Fischereibetriebe aus reichen Ländern kaufen die Fischereirechte für Ozeane rund um Afrika und Südamerika auf. Nachdem sie diese Gebiete geplündert haben, ziehen sie weiter. Folge sind ein zerstörtes Ökosystem und hungernde Einheimische. Selbst in der Fischzucht wird paradoxerweise mit Meeresfisch gefüttert, was weiter zu Überfischung der Ozeane beiträgt.

...durch VERSCHWENDUNG: Würde man das kultivierbare Land auf der Erde aufteilen, erhielte jeder Mensch 2.700 qm.das ist mehr als genug um sich vegetarisch oder vegan zu ernähren, aber viel zu wenig zum Erhalt eines Fleischessers. Die Nahrung für einen Veganer kann man auf 700 qm erzeugen - die Nahrung für einen Fleischesser benötigt 13.000 qm Anbaufläche.

UM 1 KG FLEISCH ZU ERZEUGEN, WERDEN 22 KG GETREIDE UND MEHR ALS 20.000 LITER WASSER BENÖTIGT!

Mit anderen Worten: auf einem 1 Hektar Land kann genug Pflanzenmaterial für 185 kg Rindfleisch angebaut werden, jedoch können darauf 22.500 kg Kartoffeln geerntet werden!

Etwa 80% der landwirtschaftlichen Fläche werden dazu genutzt, Tiere zu züchten oder Futtermittel anzubauen. Gleichzeitig verursacht die Fleischindustrie die größte Wasserverschmutzung, mehr als die gesamte restliche Industrie zusammengenommen. Dadurch werden die Trinkwasserreservoirs auf aller Welt massiv dezimiert. Einige Forscher gehen auf absehbare Zeit davon aus, dass Wasser teurer als Benzin werden könnte. Zur Nahrungsgewinnung eines Fleischessers werden TÄGLICH 15.000 Liter Wasser verbraucht, für einen Vegetarier werden nur 5.000 Liter verbraucht, und für einen Veganer sogar nur 1.150 Liter am Tag.

Der Verzicht auf ein halbes Kilogramm Rindfleisch spart mehr Wasser, als man durch 1 Jahr Verzicht aufs Duschen sparen könnte!

Etwa ein Drittel der gesamten Rohmaterialien und des fossilen Brennstoffs der Welt werden für die Aufzucht von Nutztieren verbraucht. Die Produktion eines einzigen Hamburgers verbraucht genausoviel fossilen Brennstoff wie ien Kleinwagen für eine Fahrt von 32 Kilometern Desweiteren produziert die Tiernutzung laut UNO 18% aller anthropogenen treibhauswirksamen Emissionen und ist somit noch vor dem Autoverkehr Verursacher Nummer 1 für den Klimawandel!

...und durch KRANKHEITEN: Eine Langzeitstudie des deutschen Krebsforschungsinstituts hat ergeben, dass Vegetarier im Vergleich zur Durchschnittsbevölkerung eine signifikant höhere Lebenserwartung haben. Vegetarier haben ein um 40% geringeres Risiko an Krebs zu erkranken. Ähnliches gilt für Krankheiten wie Schlaganfall, Fettleibigkeit, Osteoporose, Arthritis und Diabetes. Auch Lebensmittelvergiftungen finden sich bei Vegetariern deutlich seltener :-) und sogar die Zahl der Blinddarmentzündungen ist geringer.

Laut WHO (Weltgesundheitsorganisation) ist die starke Zunahme fettreicher Tierprodukte in der Ernährung seit 1950 hauptverantwortlich für den Anstieg der Herz-Kreislauferkrankungen. Ähnlich ist die Lage bei Fettleibigkeit, Diabetes und diverse Krebsarten wie Magen-, Darm-, Brust- und Prostatakrebs. Personen die Fleisch essen, haben ein mehr als doppelt so hohes Risiko an Demenz zu erkranken als Vegetarier. Die Forschung belegt, dass eine Ernährung, die viel tierisches Fett enthält, die stärkste statistische Verbindung zur Ausbreitung der Alzheimerschen Erkrankung hat.

Just thought I let you know I'm starting at the ftw today - I tried to manage to get up at 07:30 a.m. in order to be at work at 9 a.m.

well, I was here at 10. But anyway, I had a very friendly welcome and I was shown to my workspace, a spacious office with a view on parts of the Donauinsel.

I am working on the guest-wlan at the moment - I have not been given my password for the desktop-computer I'm supposed to work with yet.

The last days were pleasantly boring and lazy by the way. I met some people on Friday, we were chatting and drinking some beers on the Jesuitenwiese at the Prater. There were some nice people and we're going to meet again tomorrow for a match of pool.

I felt it was time to share the lovely view from my room with the world. It started to rain a few minutes ago, and that added a certain realism to the scenery ;-)



Today will be a most lazy day, however I plan to start analyzing the recent recordings I have here. Wish me luck that the programs can cope with up to 800 MB of 16 bit audio-data.. I will have to open the files at least once as a whole, then cut them into pieces. Yey. :-) *slaughtersaudiofiles*

Vienna is segmented into 3 huge pieces: First, there is the "Innere Stadt" (inner city), surrounded by the "Ringstrassen", and is named District 1. Then there are 8 more districts surrounding it, the so-called "inner districts", where those live who were fortunate enough to find an appartment in one of the beautiful houses there. And then, lastly, there are 13 (I think) outer districts, surrounding the inner parts, named clockwise, starting in the south of town.

Simmering, the district where I live, is "der 11. Bezirk". It does definitely not have the feeling of joy, luxury and easy living. It is, as I said before, a district with a fairly low social and housing standard, but I feel quite safe here, people are friendly, and there are most surprisingly less drunken or drugged people on the streets or in the trams than there are in Zurich - my latest direct comparison apart from Saarbrücken, where the scum has decided to pile themselves in front of the central station.

Anyway, you may live here fairly content and happy for quite a while.

Today I decided to take another way back from the Donau-bath, a way that also included the tram, because I thought it may be nice to see something of the neighbouring 10th district, called Favoriten.
It wasn't nice. I've never ever seen such depressing buildings, darkbrown, grey and shabby, standing at the very edge of the streets and taking away every sight oh the sky. Most surprisingly, the people where not in any way depressed or so. Well, you can grow used to almost anything I think.

Note: don't visit Favoriten, except for a glance at the Dark Side of town ;-)

So here I am, sick again. For 3 weeks in a row now. I got Penicillin since 2 days ago, but still I cough and spit dark yellow mucus. What's that supposed to show me? Additionally, there's an infection in my left eye, after the one in the right eye has just calmed down a little bit.
