Haven't you had about enough of the never ending failures of the Bush Administration. From the boggled war in Iraq, to the half-assed job of rooting out Al Quida in Afghanistan, to the mess of Hurricane Katrina, to the denial of global warming and their terrible record on the environment, this group has been nearly disastorous for our country. People who have traveled abroad in recent years, come back with the same story over and over again. People all over the world wonder how we could have elected this group of criminals twice. The truth is, we may never have elected them at all, but due to significant electoral shenanigans, they may have succeded in stealing not just one but probably two elections. So much for the democratic process.
My song "Get Back Home" is an attempt to set out their record plainly for all to see, with a hope for a change to a better time and place for all of us. The time has come for an end to one-sided ideological posturing by the right, and for the forces of progress and change to rise up and take back our home, to fight for the ideals of hope, fairness and a decent life for all Americans, not just the wealthy and connected. We need decent health care for all, the opportunity for all to achieve the most they can with their lives. To make this an America we can be proud of and the rest of the world can look to as a beacon of Freedom

Does it seem that the news keeps getting worse and worse and the group of thugs running this country in the Executive branch are more and more out of touch with reality? Wouldn't it be great to be able to feel proud of what we as a country are doing in this world. From the war in Iraq, to the floods in New Orleans, to the carnage on our streets, to reports of our war veterans homeless and living on the streets, to wildfires raging out of control, it seems this bunch of yahoos don't have a clue how to solve any of these problems and in most cases have only made them worse. Now I don't say that I've got all the answers, I'm just trying to find the right questions to ask. Like why are we wasting lives and our fortunes in Iraq, why can't we stop the gun violence in our cities, why is global warming seeming to be escalating and so much more? So as a musician I've tried to put some of these issues in a song that's three minutes long and I've entitled it "Get Back Home", where home stands for a better, safer place where we came from and would somehow like to re-capture. I'm going to put this song on my My Space page and hopefully on some places it can be heard and downloaded by any one for free. I hope it might help coalesce our thoughts on these subjects and help us to reject this administration and it's purported sucessors.
