Thanks to everyone who came to our drugs reading last week at The Knockout. We had a wonderful time with Pamela Holm, Liz Green, Whitney Phaneuf, Amanda Coggin, and Michelle Simotas who had us at attention with her chilling and yet funny account of protitution and addiction. We expect her to have a big future when her memoir comes out.

Also, special thanks to the wonderful Maggie Wier for cooking up a surprise pithy top-ten list. She also kindly brought along her author dad, whose name we have drunkenly forgotton but book jacket photographer (some dude named Seamus Heany) we of course remember. It's times like these in which a Google search may help us out.

No thanks go out to the drunken Marina girl who seemingly thought she had run into a really fun open mic and repeatedly insisted she get on stage. We weren't quite sure what to smackdown first, her psuhy attitude or her smock-swathed lack of style. Eeeep.

Of course, having rockstars in the audience always makes us feel special too.
