Our fourth original from Dana and Peder on the label is up there with their best.  Sydney picks up where they left off with Djakarta; a typical fusion of deep and progressive and as uplifting a piece of house music as you’re likely to find.  Laced with their trademark synth lines and pads galore, the track is built around a breakdown of epic proportions.

A veteran of the scene, Dutchman Stef Vrolijk’s form of driving progressive house has won him admirers across the board; from Danny Howells to Deep Dish, Stef’s productions have been supported by the best in the business.  After a two year hiatus, he’s back doing what he does best, and continues on from tracks on Alternative Route and Soul Glow with his take on Sydney.  Here he beefs things up considerably; adding a fat bottom end and sturdy beats that sit perfectly under the airy melodies of the original.  This is an altogether clubbier workout that can easily hold its own on the floor.

Desyn Masiello - Steffy's on it with this, will definitely play.
Jody Wisternoff - Digging Stef's remix, very nice.
Dosem - Beautiful stuff! Deep and sensual...
Paul Rogers - Great stuff.  Would it be possible to get a wav of the original - it's a blinder!
Scope - Nice melodic 80s vibe to this.  I like how the piano groove is locked up in the remix, will spin both!
Steve Parry - Liking the Stef Vrolijk remix.

https://www.beatport.com/e..n-US/html/content/release/..detail/182844/rolling_bass

Not wanting to stray too far from our current signing policy, Vadim Yershov is another young producer with a bright future ahead of him. The Boston-based Russian is turning a few heads with his recent productions, including those of Plastic City. His original mix is a cut of melodic progressive house with a whiff of nostalgia; with atmospheric strings gliding over the unsurprisingly rolling bassline.

Glasgow’s rising stars OOFT (The Revenge and Ali Herron) turn in a dubbier interpretation that is perfect for the earlier part of the night. They strip Vadim’s original down and utilise the parts well to create something that captures its essence perfectly; deep hypnotic house laced with melody.

Japanese producer Kimihiko Chiba goes down a soulful techno route with his remix, adding a sax and pads aplenty that result in a spacey, old-school sounding Detroit number.

To make up the package, we’ve thrown in a remix of Urban Breathe – Funky Heaven we had lying about. Ytre Rymden Dansskola turn in a more disco flavoured version that is perfect for what’s left of the summer.

Behrouz - Will play the Kimihiko Chiba remix.
Scope - Nice release, all 3 mixes are great. Original has a nice progressive vibe, Chiba remix has a cool kinda classic techno feel and the OOFT remix on the more deep melodic house vibe. My favourite is probably the Kimihiko Chiba remix.
Dosem - Great stuff! Full support.
Add2Basket - Original and OOFT remix are very nice! Will definitely play them out, thanks for sending them!
Aldrin - Thanks for this...very cool deep tech house, Kimihiko's remix being my favourite. Lovely, deep & warm.
Latenta Project - Feeling the OOFT remix! We will support this one!
Stryke - Original mix is wicked!!!!! Digging the OOFT remix as well, nice one!
Ricky Ryan - Wicked release, all mixes are very nice.

Resident at Ben Watt's excellent Buzzin Fly night since the label's inception in 2003, the name Chris Woodward should be familiar to those in the know. This post has taken him all over Europe, supporting Ben Watt in a host of different countries as well as regular gigs in London. Not just a talented DJ, he recently released his first remix for the label, of L Kubic's 'Voyager', with support from Sasha to Jimpster and to critical acclaim. Here, he turns out release number 16 for us, which has been causing a bit of a stir. His original mix of Bombing is a cut of moody house with one eye firmly on the dancefloor; dark and driving, but at the same time possessing a deep edge that could see it played any time of the night.

Golden boy of techno, Marc Dosem puts his funky slant on the track for the remix. The young Catalan has been bubbling under for a while, but since his worldwide smash 'Beach Kisses' his stock has been steadily rising, with his subsequent signing to Sino, the label responsible for launching the careers of Technasia and Joris Voorn, paving the way for him to follow in their footsteps. He takes the track down an altogether different route to Chris's original mix; jazzy soulful techno that retains the punch of the original but injects a bit of warmth into it, along with a blissful female vocal.

Reactions
Demi - Really like this, one of those great tracks you could play any time of the night.
Desyn Masiello - Not bad, could see the original working.
Sultan - Hot, hot groover! Full support on this!
Jody Wisternoff - Full support on the Dosem remix.
Ashley Beedle - Ace tripping. Great mix.
Claude Monnet - Finally a bullet to put in my set this weekend.
Hipp-E - Yes please!! More of that!!
Jo Mills - Fat tech house, really warm - like it lots !
Scope - Original has been a mainstay track for me since last December, played it nearly every gig and it always rocks! Good signing Discoteca!
Motorcitysoul - Good balance of deep elements and main floor functionality. Good job, Mr. Wudwerd!
Neil Quigley - Very nice beats on this, me dig.
Oliver Lang - This is quality, proper house music.
Nick Warren - Very strong track.
Rocky (X-Press 2) - Excellent. Chris sent me a test of this a while back, love it! will play on Kiss this week for sure.
Stryke - Awesome! I've been following Dosem for a while now and this mix is wicked. Original is good too, great release. Will be charting the Dosem mix.
Ricky Ryan - Dosem remix is wicked! Cool atmospheric ride!

Our latest release utilises the talents of Balcazar from Guadalajara, Mexico. Marco has steadily been making a name for himself over the last couple of years and this EP shows exactly why. His versatility as a producer is highlighted, with one cut aimed at the dancefloor and the other, a more subtle alternative.

The title track of the EP, Bipolar, is a rolling slice of tech house that counts Hernan Cattaneo among its admirers. Its infectious groove is offset against warm pads that make the track perfect for taking the dancefloor up a notch.

Gluebox is one for the deeper floors. It’s a trippy, sax-infused houser with a dash of funk that is perfect for setting the mood. This one has found a home in the wallets of Behrouz and Desyn Masiello among others.

After a brief hiatus, we’re back with one of our strongest releases yet.  Dana Bergquist and his studio partner Peder Gunnarson need no introduction after a number of works on the label, each being very well received.  As a team, they’re starting to build a pretty impressive discography, releasing on labels like Urbantorque, Glideslope and Add2Basket.  With Djakarta, Dana and Peder stick to the formula that’s served them well of late; uplifting house that encompasses a rich tapestry of melodies.  This will sit well with prog and house DJs alike and has already seen support from quite a few big hitters.

With a number of releases on reputable Techno labels such as Matrix and Beretta, Canadian techno producer Arthur Oskan has been getting tongues wagging of late.  Here he turns in a beefier version that doesn’t stray too far from the essence of the original, employing a rolling bassline and intricate percussion that carry the track along to the pad laden break.

Under a variety of guises, Glideslope head honcho Brian McDermott has a penchant for making the kind of quality deep house that his label is renowned for.  He wraps the package up for us, this time turning out a remix under his Blacklight Society moniker that epitomises what we’ve come to expect from him; shimmering deep grooves that posses an inherent warmth.

https://www.beatport.com/en-US/html/content/release/detail/155652/voltage_ep#app=b7b4&a486-index=0

Our latest release comes from a French producer tipped for big things,
Urban Breathe. He came to prominence last year with a couple of EPs on
Circle and has since has had a remix on Anjunadeep that has been very
well received; his usual blend of powerful tech house with melodic
overtones.

The title track, Voltage, is a peak time stormer that has a
somewhat progressive feel to it, although not in the conventional sense
of the word. Strong beats are combined with cascading synths and an
intense break that result in a full-on club workout. Expect big
reactions when dropped.

Funky Heaven doesn't stray far from the sound that is becoming
synonomous with an Urban Breathe production. It retains all the drive
of Voltage and although is still written with the dancefloor firmly in
mind, adopts a funkier slant.

Early support from Behrouz and Miss Nine.
