Hello again!
We are pleased to release our second record,
Blown Speakers Takeover, on
May 15th, 2009;
at the Old Rock House in Saint Louis, MO. This record began to take
shape in the earliest stages of Messy Jiverson, before we had even
chosen our band name, or even gained all of our members. It started in
the winter of 2007 with three heads writing the material. They called
themselves Blown Speakers. Demo tapes of the compositions were
recorded as rough ideas and outlines. As the group added drums and
percussion, the material was ready to record, but the second attempt to
track it was deemed unsatisfactory by the band. At this time the
material was put on the shelf for a brief period.
Fast forward to August 2008, months after the release of our first
record, Dusted And Busted. We had already started to implement the
material from Blown Speakers into the live shows with MJ, so now it was
time to get a recording we were satisfied with. Tracking began in our
dusted basement studio, engineered by us, and was soon completed before
the end of 2008. To finish it off and make it glisten, in steps our
long time friend and expert mixer and masterer MCK.
The end product is something we are very proud of, and are very excited
for everyone to hear the material. Remember, these were the ideas and
compisitions that came
before Dusted And Busted, so please
enjoy what sounds were happening and what we invisioned musically
during the early stages of what is now Messy Jiverson. Thank you so

years, EDAN "the humble magnificent", with his guest, DAGHA. EDAN is a
master emcee, turntablist, and producer; and is very much looking
forward to his first visit to St. Louis. You're going to love EDAN if
you haven't heard him already. Whether you know about him or not,
don't miss his set at the Old Rock House.
