old quilts on ebay!

so i didn't have very much fun over the weekend, but i was very very productive. and that felt almost as good as fun, i guess. i finished 6 more books and they are all but two listed on etsy. i really love them and i hope that someone else will, too. they are such fun to work in, so much more interesting than starting a blank book. the most exciting one is ¡PINK! which is part gluebook and part prepared book. i meant to make my own book with it, but somehow the pink just froze me. or maybe because the book had victorian things in it, a part of the original, and i just don't do victorian.

it may have been a mistake to put those quilts on ebay. but would they have done well on etsy? damn the ebay fees are so high now! does anyone still use ebay? but i hope i can sell at least one, to pay the fees. ha ha. they are still interesting, but they are from far in my past. it was so soothing to sit and handquilt them, when the girls were little.

photographing stuff and listing is really a lot of work. i forget until i do it again. i wish i had a public place and could just tack it all on the wall and open the doors. maybe someday. i also put two pieces of clumpy wooden furniture on craigslist. and i am putting all of my CD's into my iTunes, then getting rid of the CD's. i am a super downsizer lately!

the BIG StudioSpringCleaningSale on my etsy : through March

there is much to celebrate sellingArt-wise. 1)yesterday my 100th sale on etsy. 2)arting nonstop through the winter despite frigid studio and somewhat dull state of mind 3)MADE IT THROUGH WINTER! 4)the studio is gobFull of treasure. however, that accumulation can result in somewhat of a creative block and i need to clean it out. i WANT to clean it out.

obviously i don't make art to make big bucks, although it is nice to sell a bit and sure i can use the $$. i make it because i *have* to - and that can't really be explained, but i expect many know what i mean. and also because i want it to go out in the world, a bit of me, maybe a little inspiration or good thought. i know many simple pieces of art have given me secret joy throughout my life. maybe some of mine might do that, too? etsy has been GREAT for the purpose of sending out small pieces of art into the world.

so about the sale : throughout March, go there, pick any piece, click to purchase, and in your note tell me *another* piece that you would like, of equal or lesser cost, and i will unlist it and send with your original purchase. yes! 2 - for - 1! you may share or you may be greedy. either way i am happy and you will be, too! there will be old and new things added all month, so please check back often! and THANK YOU forever!

it was an extremely busy and full weekend. a good one! and i am so so so SO glad that i am not in the office today! am i going to chill out and rest a bit? NO WAY. i am having way too much fun. i have been finishing so many small pieces that were in progress and dribbling them on to my ETSY. i have resisted posting everything insanely, as i understand it is better to space out your listings, but part of me wants to see them all at once and in the way *i* arrange them, but i am trying to go for as much visibility as possible without spamming my small following to death. anyway, it is sort of fun. and especially when that email "etsy transaction" shows up in my box! wheee!

besides art and webstuff, there was also time for wandering in the woods, two days. some images were made, buy my favorites were the drivebys out the "new window" (see above). that heavy clear vinyl is almost better than nailpolish for the lens! the woods were beautiful. the scent of dead leaves on paths is one of my favorites. we have also watched films, read books, cooked food and all etc. today it might rain. and i am HOME! (-:
