Ok--let's get something straight...the new 'Six Flags Guy' SUCKS!!!  With that off my chest, let me address the state of 'political correctness' we are currently in. I'd like to think that I'm not a racist. I used to work in a T-shirt shop, and one day we printed some shirts that showed a picture of 'Uncle Sam' pointing his finger with the caption "I Want You...To Speak ENGLISH!" underneath it. I thought it was funny, cool, and accurate. There are WAY too many people living in our country that do not have the COMMON SENSE to learn our language. When I went to Germany 5 times with my band(s), I always brought along a language guide. And I was never there longer than a month at a time. To me, it just MADE SENSE to want to try and understand/speak the language most commonly spoken. Why is it then, that we as americans now have to press a button on the phone in order to SPEAK ENGLISH when we make a call to some business or organization in our OWN COUNTRY??? Shouldn't it be the other way around? Shouldn't THEY have to push a button to speak a different language? I mean... really!  Okay...I'm getting off the point here...back to the T-shirt. So I walk into a Radio Shack to buy a cable for my computer, and this Mexican kid who worked there looked at my shirt and said "Wow--that's kind of racist dude."  Now, I could have been a jackoff and told him to 'run for the border'--but I chose to explain myself. I am an avid supporter of FREEDOM OF SPEECH, and FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION. I asked him why it bothered him when he obviously spoke the language? I also pointed out that the shirt was aimed at those who DO NOT have the respect enough to even TRY to learn english. These people are out there--I KNOW because I live in Perth Amboy. My hometown happens to be 80% hispanic. And it's all GOOD. My step-dad happens to be Peruvian--and guess what? I love him to death. He was more of a father to me than my biological 'father' (translation:piece of SHIT). My step-dad's entire family learned ENGLISH when they got here from South America over 30 years ago. That's how he and my mom met--he was taking English lessons from her. There are many hispanics who DO speak english as a 1st or 2nd language. Kudos to them. But there are still many who do NOT. Yet they take full advantage of ALL the state programs and assistance that america has to offer. Do you all realize that certain foreigners can step off of an airplane and get a bank loans to start their own businesses, get full hospitalization and prescription plans, and live worry free? Yet someone like myself (who worked a job since he was 14 and only collected unemployment ONCE in his life) who has diabetes, hypertension, neuropathy, and diabetic retinopathy has to FIGHT for benefits and prescription coverage?!  And I've been a U.S. citizen all my LIFE! What gives here? The more I think about it, Canada is looking better and better! The U.S. is in an economic CRISIS as we speak. My girlfriend got 'let go' by the job she worked for over FIVE YEARS without as much as a "Sorry about that"! Along with a few hundred other fellow employees, she was just politely shown the door.  Yet we have sports players earning GAZILLIONS of dollars because they can throw a ball through a hoop. Or tackle a guy on a field. The end is near people. REPENT (lol)!!!  While I'm ranting, let me get to the 'Six Flags' thing. It seems that Asian-American people got 'offended' by the 'More flags, more FUN!!!" guy. FUCKING LIGHTEN UP PEOPLE!!! It's a JOKE! Now we have to put up with some IDIOT that looks like a cross between Frank Perdue and a burn victim with glasses!!! HE SUCKS ASS!!! He CANNOT dance! He IS NOT AMUSING in the LEAST! He is ten times more annoying than the old 'Six Flags guy'! What's next? "Hey--I'm bald, and I wear glasses--I'm OFFENDED by that--get him off the air!!!" I wouldn't be surprised. In a day and age where we have overcome so much prejiduce, and have even seen the election of the very first African American president, some people STILL have the nerve to COMPLAIN. Jeez...if anything, I should be freaking out because I'm part Native American. Can anyone think of another race of people who got a rawer deal than the AMERICAN INDIANS??? Man--they took the land right out from under 'em! I'm also Hungarian, Polish, & Italian. Do I get freaked out when someone tells a 'Polak joke'? Or I hear a 'Ginny joke'? Nope--I laugh my ass off if it's FUNNY. Do I freak out when people stereo-type me because of my long hair? Or say:"Oh--he's in a  hard rock band...he's a DRUGGIE DEVIL WORSHIPPER!" Nope. I laugh about their ignorance and keep on truckin'. I guess my point is get with it people. LIGHTEN UP. Worry about more important things like the economy, or the way we are destroying the planet and butchering nature. Or pre-teen pregnancy (it used to be teen pregnancy), and starvation in third-world countries. Not getting pissy because the dude on a commercial promoting roller-coasters looks distinctly asian. Get with it people. And if anyone was offended by what I wrote here--sorry. No offense intended.  It's called FREEDOM OF SPEECH--if you don't like it...go live in communist Russia!!!
