Lapsap (means trash or rubbish in Cantonese in our part of the world) Party is most talked about private party in town. Ever since it started about 4 months back, everyone in Kuala Lumpur has been trying to get on the invite list. We have a chance to meet up with the Lapsap Crew – 5 feet and Mr Puah for a lil chat :)

LS – Lapsap, 5 - 5 feet, P - Puah

Waddup Lapsap? Can you tell us what is Lapsap all about? I bet this is most asked question in any interview.

LS :- Lapsap is made up of 5ft and Mr Puah, its the alter ego of Blink and Xu, …… Its also a party collectively done by "the lovely neighbours" consisting of ethan the illkidd and a whole bunch of animals.

And 5 feet and Mr Puah are really funny names, why did you guys have to come out with new identities since both of you are already so established?

LS :- well its not about established or not i guess, as said its our alter ego, maybe we talk, walk, dress and even cry differently when we are lapsap :)….who is blink and xu btw? (we know! They are our favourite DJs)

Do you guys have different fashion and music sense?

LS. :- We have similarities but we do have much differences as well, Mr Puah has a indie/punk background where as I have a hip hop background, as for fashion i think we don't have a particular style, time plays a lot in this, we reckon everyone will change to time whether its trend, the vibe or music influenced….

What is theme for Lapsap now?

LS :- Theres no "theme" in lapsap, we just put out a subject for the month and its up to the peeps who come. Lapsap is a party not really about us but about the people. Its how they feel maybe on that particular day… ie) they feel nu rave, they come in colours next month that person might feel very goth and come in black, its just a place for people to like express their feelings in a lil' way…..

Five things 5 feet and Mr Puah can't live without?

LS :- we can't live without Pork, Internet, Sex, Manchester United and all kinds of Rubbish.

What are your favourite brands for now?

Mr P. :- I have no favourite brands currently, I buy most of my stuff from second hand stores and bundle. I do like a lil' more colours nowadays.

5ft. :- I love basic stuff. a big fan of visvim and uniqlo's (plain tees) and surrender ( graphic tees )….im liking vans authentic, air jordan ones and leather jackets at the moment.

What are your favourite current albums :-

5ft :- M.I.A - Kala, Kanye west - Graduation, Boysnoize - Oi Oi Oi

Mr P. :- Richard Hawley - Ladybridge, Wilco - sky blue sky, Devendra Barnhart - Smokey rolls down thunder canyon.

Who said that we are taking a break??? It took a while for us to bring this altogether for ya for ya raya celebrations yo! and lap sap even went fasting together with ya!

but now, it's time for raya celebrations, so don't bitch!

In conjunction with JUICE: The Knowledge: This round they'll be doing NU RAVE (who knows nu rave better than the lap sap duo?) so yup, u guess right!! we are definitely doin the knowledge and Mr Puah and 5 feet will set to rock u head to toes in da hottest nu rave bands around..

This is all happening at Mardi Gras One Utama on 17th Oct 9 pm onwards then we'll continue with our private party, da usuals lap sap style innit!!!

oh yes, how could I not mention is free flow til 12am!!! get ur asses down b4 12 if not, not only u don't get da drinks, u gotta pay cover as well... don't say we didn't warn ya, don't come bitching yo!

bring ya dayglo outfits, glo sticks, neon lights or if u dare, bring ya dad's super neon glo in da dark supersize brief...! coz we are goin to a rave, a nu rave, and u know we'll do it in style!

How r ya all doin'?? here' s just some updates from us Lovely Neighbors... Sorry we have been quiet for a bit... but it won't be long... we are getting ready more exciting parties on da way!!! not telling you yet, soon we will.. hehe.. spank me!

Mr. Puah doesn't even have time to go cut his hair as he and 5 ft are busying designing some new merchandize for you people and stay tuned..... it sets to blow you away... da merch will be coming soon, so watch this space.!

Many people have been asking about da next Lap Sap, yes yes of course we'll have it!!! and we'll update you when, coz our malay friends are having bulan ramadan so most likely we gonna have it after raya... bring some kuih-muih for us!

illkidd and his shabbatronz are busy working on his new shop.. so watch this space for opening dates and promo. and he is very excited about global gathering but stress out on what he's wearing...

Da BIG news is???? Illkidd just got back frm Bangkok and guess what he found on da day that he arrived??? MR.PUAH and ILLKIDD were on BANGKOK POSTTTTTTT!!!!! Woo-hoo.. it was a page full talking about Nu Rave written by da most sought after critic infamous Onsiri... so there you go! we are doin our side of the world proud! Soft coy will be posted soon....
