About the Theatre:
About Village East: The Village East is the sister theater of the award-wining Angelika Film Center. Located in the heart of the East Village at 2nd Avenue and 12th Street, the Village East Cinemas was built in 1926 as a Yiddish theater. The Village East Cinemas features 7 screens and has been beautifully restored and still features the original ornate Moorish design both inside and outside the theater. Its large ornate main auditorium, offering comfortable stadium designed seating and oversized screen, remains one of NYC's best places to see a film.
