We are finishing up some songwriting right now. We are hoping to start
recording in late April. We’re hoping to take our time with this recording
and make it amazing. We are also checking out different artists’ work
and thinking about album art. We are daydreaming about video-film
ideas. It is altogether difficult not to be able to show everyone the
new stuff right away. Y’know. Etcetera. We're hoping to release the latest and greatest in early Fall!

Until then we're gonna start playing shows again as of next month...stay tuned for more details!

Music video for the song 'The Bikeriders' by Nightwood, shot/directed/edited by Mike Rollo. This video was shot on the fly with friends using 16mm hi-con black and white film, a Bolex camera, a film-processing tank and lots of in-camera edits.

No budget + lots of fun + talented friends = rock video!

It's been a while since we provided news up on Facebook and Myspace as we have been blogging directly up on www.nightwoodband.com [http://www.nightwoodband.com/] and busy with life in general (Eric's wife is pregnant, Amber released a new issue of Lickety Split and Erin has been attending way too many weddings).  Still, a lot is happening including a recent opening spot for Film School in Montreal, a CBC Radio 3 "Song of the Day" nod and the filming of our second video for The Bikeriders to be released this Fall.

We are also planning our Fall touring schedule in Ontario/Quebec and we have Ottawa, Peterborough and Brantford ON lined up and more to be announced here shortly!

But summer ain't over and we have one last show in Montreal before things get crazy again with Nightwood this FALL!  If you..re in town, please join us at the newly reopened Jupiter Room (3874 St.Laurent).  It's part of the New Music Thursday series hosted by Indie Montreal and joining us that evening is Ottawa's Trevor James and the Perfect Gentlemen.  Come on out!  Tickets are $5 through the band if you can hunt us down or $8 at the door.
