I really, really like you, and I want you to be loved again. As a promoter and a music fan, theres no interface that can take your place. But I see people, and most importantly, bands starting to lose interest in you because you're getting a little sluggish in your old age. There are few resources I find as valuable as plugging in my zipcode wherever I happen to be to discover a band I never knew before. I want to save you, and bring everyone back to make you as useful as you were before and can be again. Heres a few ways you can do it.... 1. Don't send me a message that makes me have to log on to read it. The "book" sends you all, or most of a message so you can decide whether to log in to read it. 2. Don't make me have to open up everything as a separate page. Your pages are slow loading in general and I don't want to have to open 3 pages to see an event listing. Your desire to increase unique page views is making you inconvienient. 3. Stop having such giant, bandwidth hogging ads on your homepage. My computers only a couple years old, but if I look at three pages, it bogs down my computer and makes IE quit. 4. Make band shows show up on your home screens. Let me permanently set up a "5 mile" radius to show me whats nearby. 5. Auto preview the bulletins, again, so i don't have to keep reclicking. 6. Let me auto login. On facebook, it actually keeps me signed in all the time so I don't have to keep reentering my password. 7. Make the invites easier to make. The latest version is so slooow. 8. Make it so when you add pictures, the newest pictures are first! I'm sure theres lots more, but these will go a long way towards saving you and making it worth my while to keep promoting stuff here. Thanks! dj xerox

I spend a lot of time looking at listening to bands on Myspace (facebook doesn't have a thing on myspace for bands) and I wanted to list a few minor annoyances that I have quite often.
1)Not updating with shows and info! I know its a pain and the interface is clunky, but a few minutes a week adding your shows and as much info as you have helps those of us that just want to pop in for your show in our very busy city.
2) Not listing your bands Genre correctly. I know listing your band as "crunk" is hysterical, but I often use the search function to find new bands (if you've never tried the "shows" function on myspace its pretty cool) and i'm not going to find my new favorite punk, rock or garage band if you're listed as Showtunes.
3) Having your privacy settings wrong. I get caught sometimes in a catch 22 where I have to put in some fictional last name to friend you, but can't even send a message because of privacy settings. Just use the Captcha function.
4) Having a name I can't find. When naming your band, before you make a flyer, do a quick search of myspace music and see if anyone else has the same name. Our language if full of wonderful words. You can even use a band name generator. http://www.bandnamemaker.com/
Those are my big ones. Theres more, but these are main annoyances.... Remember, Im the one out of a hundred that actually spends time seeking out new bands. Most people are way lazier than I am when it comes to entertainment.

Debbie Sassiver had Dylan Nirvana sitting in with her for her set, which included a rock solid version of "rock and roll suicide". She also performed "Creep" amongst many more.
RE-UNION was quite the performance to behold. The drummer had an electronic drum pad that triggered crowd noise. They played Journey, Van Halen, Zeppelin, Bryan Adams and tons more. The singer was playing the bass parts with a foot keybad. Rad.

At two am at the last Copycat, the task force showed up, ten cops in all. They stayed 5 minutes and left, but not before all our people split.
