I saw this story on Good Morning America today and I wanted to share it with you all.

As some of you may know, I have an obsession with animals and generally like them more than most people;) I'm a HUGE believer in rescuing dogs/cats and this story really touched me.

Dogsindanger.com is a non profit animal welfare organization dedicated to helping dogs in need. They post photos of dogs that are in shelters and days away from being euthanized. Shelters across the country are overcrowded and euthanization is the only option if the animal is not adopted in a timely matter.

Every animal deserves a decent quality of life and it broke my heart when I heard a dog gets put down every 9 seconds!!!!

We all know someone who is thinking about getting a dog....maybe they will consider adopting one instead of getting one at the pet store? It's worth a shot. All of my animals are rescues and as crazy as they all are- they are even more grateful.

As you can tell, I am having some MAJOR issues with my myspace page. A few months ago it was hacked into and I'm still having problems. Yes I change my password weekly and Yes I've emailed the powers that be to help me with this. This has gotten me nowhere.

I need to share this ASAP cause I'm starting to go nuts!!! Are you guys getting an INSANE amount of junk mail on here? I am so sick of the Victoria Secret and Macy gift card comments. I mean seriously, do you have to send me 50 in one day??? I don't want to know about your free ipods or your diet pills!!!! I try to delete but you won't go away- I approve all my comments before posting and I just don't have the time or patience to read about your scams. PLEASE STOP!!!!!!!

Hope you are all doing well! I have been working hard on my new show Big Day which finally got an offical airdate! It will be on ABC Tuesday November 28th at 9pm:)

I am so proud of this show and haven't been this excited about a project in a very long time. As you guys know- breaking a new show is very hard (especially a comedy.) Networks pull the plug faster than you can change the channel! So I'm going to do my best in giving Big Day the best promotion possible. (talk shows/ radio/ magazines etc)

If any of you are interested in helping me spread the word I would be forever grateful. I plan on starting a myspace fansite for the show and I am looking for people to help me add friends.
If you have any other ideas to get the word out please let me know!

Hope this finds you well and that you are enjoying your summer!
Things are pretty mellow with me at the moment...I have been doing a lot of relaxing and taking my dog on hikes etc. (although this heat has put a serious halt to any outdoor exercising!!)
In about a month I will be starting production on my new show Big Day. It will be on ABC Thursday nights at 8pm starting in the fall. It stars Wendie Malick and some other fantastic actors so you should all check it out for sure!!!
Sadly, I had to cancel my July 29th show due to the shooting schedule and I have no idea when I will be able to reschedule it:( Stay tuned for updates regarding other shows.

I saw United 93 yesterday...if any of you are planning to go see this- DO NOT GO ALONE. I made this mistake and i almost hugged the guy next to me! (He also made the mistake of taking in a matinee solo)
I really like that the studio decided (for once in their lives!!!) to use unknowns in all the roles. It really helped me connect with each person to not know who they are dating in real life or if they are in some celeb cult. I totally recommend this movie- it really shows true heroism.

Also, for those of you who think sending me threatening emails will get my attention PLEASE STOP and also know I WILL NEVER RESPOND...you know who you are. It's a total waste of time.

Myspace is a great way to get your music heard, and i want to take the time to let you all know about some amazing artists and friends you need to check out!! First and foremost...Cindy Alexander is not only one of my best friends but a seriously talented chick:) Josh Radin, Schuylar Fisk, The Mercy Kiss, Deadsy and Inara George are a few that I suggest you add asap!!

I'm so psyched that my new record Grateful is finally completed!!! This has been a work in progress for a few years now, and I'm really excited that people get to hear it! So order it today.... Today is Prez day...I'm so bored and trying to convice myself that I shoud go to the gym. I know everyone and their mother will be there to take advantage of their day off, so i'm not looking forward to it. Waiting in line for the treadmill is about a fun as eating glass. When you get to the front of the line your prize is....cardio! YAY. Hope u have a good one:)

I was so scared to start a myspace existence becuase I totally thought that people would fill up my inbox with "you suck" emails. (Trust me, people really waste their time doing this) I have been so pleasantly surprised with the support and nice feedback I have received regarding my music. I just wanted to say this becuase i truly feel that myspace has somehow helped restore my self-confidence that other websites (including my own!) have taken away. I hope this doesn't sound lame! I really think that myspace is a place for fucking cool people that don't search for bad karma by tearing people down.
