The Al Goddess album is to help commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the National Packard Car Museum in nearby Warren, Ohio and the 110th Anniversary of the first Packard automobile to be assembled in Warren. Special events are planned for all week.

This goddess is a continuation of my images over the last couple of years. This installment was displayed in the main lobby area of the Warren-Youngstown airport.

In continuing with the "Goddess of Speed" series, the latest entry (album), entitled "Connect the Dots," pays hommage to Pop Artist icon and former Ohio State University student and art instructor - Roy Lichtenstein. If you like the album and/or any of the images great. However, don't be an A_ _ Hole and steal any of the images (you know who you are!!!). These IMAGES ARE NOT YOURS!!! They are posted for people to enjoy and not to be claimed as your own. If you feel the need to steal any (or all) of the images, contact me first. Try to have some decency and professionalism - DON'T HIJACK THE IMAGES!!! Otherwise, hope everyone enjoys these images.

This is a tribute to the staff and management of Sharon Chrysler which will seize operation on March 30, 2008. I just want to thank-you folks for not only being a class act, but standing by the old credo of "customer satisfaction". I knew when it was time to visit Dot for a new car, I would be getting a fair deal. For service, not only would Vince take care of my car, I felt safe driving my car because I knew that Boyd, Terry, Tom (retired in Jan. of 2008) and the rest of the service department did an excellent job. But that’s not the point here, or the loosing of another business in the area. It is the friendship, respect and bonding that has developed over the years. Dad and myself can’t thank-you folks enough for that. It means a lot to both of us. To the sales saff of Dot (how many cars have you sold us? Hope it is a few more down the road!), Leo and Ron (been retired for a couple of years, but not forgotten)-the Sharpsville connection and Pat (the new guy) a simple thank-you just isn’t enough. For Cynthia & Dar: besides taking our money, you always had a hug and a smile no matter what. Well Little Mac: management sets the tone for the whole operation-what a class act. All I can simply say is thank-you for everything, especially the friendship and memories. I can truley say I have spent half of my life knowing you folks and it has been a pure joy. Your whole operation simply embodied the spirit of the 1979 song: "We Are Family." It may sound corny, but to those who never dealt with you and your staff, they simply have no idea of what I am talking about.
So, to the staff and management of Little Macs Sharon-Chrysler: Thank-you for everything (especially the memories), congratulations on a job well done, R.I.P, and God Speed to everyone for wherever they may go and whatever they may do. You will be truley missed. Love all of you and take care.

Patterned after Chicago's famed "Cows on Parade" and the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame's "Guitars on Parade", the National Packard Car Museum (located in nearby Warren, Ohio) in conjunction with the Trumbull County Arts Council, presents "A Spectacle Of Speed".

The Spectacle highlights the creative work of 35 area artists and one nationally renowned entertainer who constructed and created 36 unique fiberglass sculptures that pay hommage to the Packard automobile which at one time was built in Warren, Ohio. Using the famed "Goddess of Speed" ornament (which graced the front hood of the automobile) as the focal point of their creations, each unique sculpture brings together not only the history of this famed automobile, but also the history and traditions of Warren, and Trumbull County as well.

As artist Dan Mathey explains, "The goddess was the longest-lived mascot in the history of the American automobile industry from 1926-1950. The automotive icon became synonymous with excellence and state of the art technology in the automobile industry." Packard Electric (one of the major employers in the area for nearly a century) has been instrumental in providing electrical components for the automobile industry mainly General Motors and became a subsidiary of the auto giant known as Delphi.

While each of the sculptures are unique, one may stand-out. It is the one created by and supported by late night talk show host and famed car fanatic Jay Leno. His creation is housed at the National Packard Museum.

Practically each town, city, or village throughout Trumbull County currently has at least one of the sculptures on display in their community and will remain their until they all come together in Warren for a mass showing and charitable auction in October. Those sculptures which I will feature will be titled: "Miss ________". The blank will refer to the town, city, or village in which the sculpture is located.

Hope you enjoy these artistic creations !!!

As expalined in the previous blog, I just got done restoring the missing images and adding a few new images in each of the albums.

I hope everyone is satisfied with the replacements. Since this misfortune occurred, it will be awhile before I get the time to do what I had planned as far as expanding upon the current albums and adding another. Hopefully things can return to normal (whatever that is!) in the next week or so.

Thoughts, comments, and feedback are always welcome.

Have a safe and enjoyable Holiday weekend!!!

To anyone who has tried viewing my albums in the past week or so and noticed some images were missing, I'm sorry.

It seems as though some FREAKIN' A-HOLE, OR A-HOLES were f**king around my site.

Thanx to my friends for pointing-out the problem the other day.

For those responsible, remember, the images are copyrighted and a lot of people put forth some time and effort for making these images happen, not just myself. They just don't appear out of thin air.

If you like the images that well and want to use them either for your own site or for some publication, feel free to contact me and I'm sure that we can work-out some kind of an agreement. On the other hand, if the images are that bad, let me know and I will pull them and shut-down this site.

Should this problem/situation happen again, other measures will be taken.

For those of you that have allowed me to photograph your ride (either bike or car) thank-you.

It's been fun!!!
