All,

It's a sad day but After Dark have split up. Due to differences and different directions we've decided to call it a day! We've had a blinding time over the last four or so years making and playing music. We'll all be back sometime with different musical projects.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us and the promoters who have put us on!

Hey all!

James here from After Dark, thought i’d give you a quick update of what’s happening in the After Dark camp! We’re getting on with the anticipated next EP "Do You Think Me Wicked?", hopefully vocals will be done soon and then onto mixing, artwork and getting stuff done evolving around the CD.

We’ve played a fair few gigs around lincolnshire this year, more than any other which has been nice meeting you all in our own hometown and Grantham aswel, where the crowds have been awesome! A highlight so far is definately supporting The Ruined.. One other thing, at the end of May we’ll be on tour for four days in Wales, visiting, Newport, Bristol, Cardiff and Chepstow.. so for our friends in Wales, if you can come down and visit us and say hello!

Keep checking our myspace as lots more updates around the CD and Merch will be posted over the coming weeks, so keep an eye out for it!!

Just a quick entry to say a Hey and check everyones doing well this wonderfully frosty season? I hope everyone is, our page has seemed a little quiet lately I know, but we are working on changing this....

Its been a couple of weeks but we forgot to mention, we played in Cardiff with Fall Victim (I reccomend everyone do a myspace music search for these guys, you wont be disappointed) and it was a great night, alot of fun was had and a lot of great music was played...Hopefully we can play in Cardiff again sometime in the future, and likewise, hopefully we will get the opportunity to play with the Fall Victim lads aswell...

An update on the e.p...well *sigh*...Its certainly taking its time and its throwing every technical difficulty and problem at us that it can muster...but we will get past it, eventually, and hopefully give you guys a lot of new music that you will enjoy...the feedback we have had on some of the new tracks we have played live is promising so we hope the entire record gets some of the same...it seems a way off I know, but possibly by the end of January we might be able to see something coming into place...we are working our best to get another new track up on our page for Christmas since we are here to entertain you after all...

Meanwhile, If people want to check out our pics, page, music and let us know what you think through comments and messages it is really appreciated...Likewise if you REALLY like our stuff and want to help spread the word on After Dark, put our music or one of our banners (that can be found in the bottom 'Misc' section of our page) on your space...but dont keep it to yourself, let us know your supporting us! In the months to come we will have the e.p and hopefully some merch heading our ways and those that are seen to be working hard for us will given what they deserve in return...

If you have managed to read all this, well done!

As you can see we have a brand new layout, aswell as brand new band photos so all please feel free to leave comments and feedback on what you think...Some of you will also be happy to hear that we shall be posting a brand new off of our upcoming e.p, the title of which we can now officially release as "Do You Think Me Wicked?" later this week.  In other news recording is going well, its a slow process but thats basically due a number of things, one is that we are recording this e.p solely byourselves as a band and want to take our time to get the tracks as near to perfect as we can and achieve the sound and vision we have for each song so please bare with us :p For the time being, enjoy the new layout, photos (which we are very happy with and were taken by a good friend Nick who you can find as the first link in our friends section) and fingers crossed that later this week we shall be posting a brand new track for your listening pleasure...

Hey Everyone,

We thought we'd just post a little blog, stating that we are still active and going, even though it may seem abit slow in the AD camp. Things like exams, new jobs, holidays and various bits are currently happening so things are always slow unfortunately.

On a brightter note, we are starting to record our brand new EP this week, laying down the drum tracks at Metheringham Music Factory.. The name and track listing of the upcoming EP is going to remain a tight lipped secret for the time being but we promise you, if you've seen us live it's going to have some of the songs from our set within it, just which ones, you won't be able to guess!!!

We'll be keeping a diary of how the recording is going on our blog, so make sure you keep checking the myspace back to see how all is going.

That's about it for now, as always, keep posting your comments, telling your friends about us and listening to our music. As it's you guys and girls that keep us going and having fun from day to day!

So last night we played The Intake Club in Mansfield, our first time to Mansfield, and we'll definately be going back!

We were on first and got a good reception from the crowd, which was awesome, we were able to feed off from them and put on a stage show aswel. A big thanks to Inferno Nights (Stitch and Roach), really awesome gig, plus amazingly well organised. Definately recommend people to work with them!

We haven't got anymore gigs lined up for awhile, because we're going to start recording the new EP soon. But we may play a gig or to, so keep checking back for updates.

So, last night we played the second show out of three that we are doing with A Fighting Chance this week. Other bands that were on the lineup were, Edge Of Reason, Pennyless Ben, Sevenday Weekend.

The gig was good fun, apart from the sound being pritty poor, due to speaker and pa issues not being loud enough, we started our set off abit out of time, through merely not being able to hear ourselfs but once a nice member of the audience turned up everything, we got everything going again and we played a good set at the end of the night and managed to shift a few more CD's!

So now to the final show tonight, at The Travellers Rest, a nice hometown gig to finish off a very busy week!

Thanks to Adam Garrod from Intergenre for setting last night up and again to Nicholas The Band Photographer for coming along and taking shots of the night!! They'll be put up on the myspace in the next few weeks!!!

Just got back from The Travellers Rest gig we did, and what can I say? What a brilliant end to a very long and tiring week, filled with lots of driving... I personally managed 381 miles in 3 days < what an achievement haha!

Was nice to play Lincoln again, nothing like a hometown gig to finish the week off!! Massive thanks goes out to the fella's from The Infidels who did the sound work (such a good sound aswel) and Adam Garrod (InterGenre) for organising the whole event.. cheers for that fellas!

The set definately was alot tighter and so much more energy was put into it than last night at The Malt Shovel, which I feel reflected in the music and the quality in which we pumped it out tonight!

Other bands on the line up were - Fear of Hatred, A Fighting Chance, Pennyless Ben & Sabotage.

A big thanks to A Fighting Chance for playing this week with us, we're planning something abit bigger for the summer, so definately keep checking out one of our bands myspaces!

Cheers to all the bands we've played with this week! We're back in Lincoln at Christophers in March, so make sure you come down and check that out! Plus we have run out of CD's, so if your still after one email - afterdarkuk@googlemail.com and we'll get you sorted!!

So last night, we kicked off the first of the three gigs we're playing this week at The Atrium in Grantham with A Fighting Chance. What can I say? It was a really good venue and the sound was amazing, but for it being a Monday night the turnout wasn't amazing.. about 17 people all together including the bands!

But we still had fun, we all pitched in to get abit of atmosphere going, and at the end of the day we had fun, got paid, and played our music to at least 8 people who hadn't seen us before, so all is good!

Also a big thanks to Nicholas the Band Photographer for coming along and taking pictures. We're going to be working with him on the next two upcoming gigs aswel! So lots of pictures to come!!

Last night, we played Christophers again with Moiety, The Hail Caesars, This Interview, King Of Conspiracy and Depol , we had a really good time and the other bands were really good aswel, we even made some new friends aswel and a big thanks to Angamanagement for putting us on the bill last night!
