R.I.P. MICHAEL!!!
"Michael was my friend, the only recording artist I truly knew and who truly knew me. He was the Godfather to my son Michael. We have lost a dear member of our family, we are devastated. Michael you will live forever in our hearts. Fly away butterfly take it to your journeys end. We will always love you." - Barry Gibb
"We’ve not only lost a great friend in Michael but also lost a wonderful sensitive human being. The Bee Gees heard music with the same ears. Michael had a great voice and millions of people yet to be born will sing his songs. This tragedy should teach us a lesson to value and praise those gifts while we still have them in the world. If even a small portion of the praise that is bestowed on Michael Jackson now in death was given to him last year in life, he might well still be with us. That is the sad truth. One consolation is that he will triumph by his legacy." - Robin Gibb

We would like to send a belated thanks to all of our new friends in the UK for coming out last month to witness the decimation that is Tragedy. Most of all, however, we would like to thank ourselves for being so absolutely and astoundingly awesome. We had a fabulous time touring the UK with Electric Six, plus ripping our own headlining shows throughout England, Scotland and Wales. And those of you who experienced the ferocity of our power had an even fabulouser time, whether you were aware of it or not. Aside from a few shows now booked, we shall be taking a little break to rejuvenate ourselves and work on ever more powerful and devastating material. We shall return when it suits us, which will be soon. Regards, Tragedy

We have two exciting new Tragedy occurrences. First, our bassist Gibbous Waning sang on four tracks of the album "Here Come the 123s" by They Might Be Giants. This album just won the Grammy for "Best Musical Album For Children." You can hear Gibbous singing on the songs Hot Dog!, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Theme, Ooh La! Ooh La!, and High Five. Children = Decimated. Next, we are proud to introduce our incredible new drummer, The Lord Gibbeth. We recommend that you check out The Lord's ball-devouringly decimating body of work at his myspace presence: www.myspace.com/robpallotta. Brace yourselves. Above: Gibbous Waning. Above: The Lord Gibbeth.

Here's our encore song at Kensington Forum in London City. We are joined at the end by Ginger and CJ of The Wildhearts. You Should Be Dancing in Manchester City: How Deep Is Your Love, also at Manchester Academy. For some reason, the vocals are buried. Maybe it's because there was just so much rock. Nights on Broadway at London Shepard's Bush Empire: Stayin' Alive somewhere in England, not sure where. The sound is horrible, but you can feel the ferocity of our power.

On Monday, December 1, 2008, at 9:55 am Eastern Standard Time, Tragedy embarked for the United Kingdom on Delta Flight 162 from JFK International Airport, and arrived at Heathrow International Airport in London City at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time.
This was the commencement of what was to become our amazing, staggering, formidable, totally awesome, great, completely mind-blowing and totally amazing, glitter-speckled tour of the United Kingdom. Except for Oxford City. That show was rough (although it still featured lots of glitter).
We were slated to support British UK legends The Wildhearts for six shows, followed by a show with Electric Six in London City. And that we did -- we completely supported both The Wildhearts and Electric Six.
Tragedy's Barry Glibb also doubled as guitar tech for Ginger of The Wildhearts, earning a few extra pounds in currency, whilst losing a few in body weight (8 lbs. to be exact). In fact, the bodies of most of the members of Tragedy underwent significant transition during this trip, as a nasty cold virus gripped us one by one. Not to mention, Tragedy's Olivia Netwon-Chong developed a nasty cyst, and our friend Tommy Rockstar, who came along as road manager, was overcome by Hand AIDS (a form of AIDS that attacks only the hands).
The first show, in Sheffield City, was packed like a sardine can when we hit the stage. We managed to absolutely demolish the people of Sheffield City, and even made a few new fans by the end of our set.
The next stop was Glasgow City, Scotland. We were driven there by our British driver and new bestest friend Paul, who introduced us to the concept of "crucifixion." Not the Jesus kind, but the kind typically involving three band members and a merch girl.
Anyway, we altogether decimated the Glaswegians whether they were aware of it or not. Has anyone ever noticed that the Scots are utterly incomprehensible? Suffice it to say, we could not tell whether the phonetic noises arising from the crowd during our set were heckles or shouts of enthusiasm.
Oxford City was next, where we were met with indifference. Anything is better than that. At the very least, a "get of the stage!" or "you suck fags!" would have been nice.
The next stop was Manchester City, which was one of the highlights of the tour. A Tragedy deputation attended the Manchester United football game (soccer for you Americans), and the gig that night was tremendous. The unsuspecting crowd was utterly decimated, especially the fat guy who was dancing around with his shirt off.
Next stop, Wolverhampton City. Another really good show, followed by a really good after-party, which then led to a local casino and only god knows what else.
We had the next day off, so where else should we have gone than -- STONEHENGE!!

The final stop on The Wildhearts tour was The Kentishtown Forum in London City. As was typical of the tour, it took a few songs for the crowd to feel less confused than rocked, but once the ice was broken, the people of London City were annihilated (it did help that Ginger and CJ of The Wildhearts came out to rip guitar solos with us on the final song of our set, that song being Tragedy).
There was also a glitter war that night between Tragedy and The Wildhearts. There is likely still glitter covering everything at Kentishtown Forum, including the balcony. If you find yourself there anytime soon, please report back to us on the status of the glitter.
Anyway, there was another after party that nite which was attended by Blaze Bailey, the singer who replaced Bruce Dickinson in Maiden (he was wearing a Blaze Bailey t-shirt no less).
The next day, we filmed stuff around London City for our upcoming and mind-blowing video for Jive Talkin'. We were joined by our fellow Tri-State Areans The Wau Wau Sisters, and that nite we went to check out their show in London City, which was amazing and we were absolutely decimated.

Finally, we closed the tour with a show at London City's Shephard's Bush Empire with Electric Six. Needless to say, the crowd was stupefied, and a whole bunch of people (well, one) were escorted out for crowd surfing. We were also joined on stage by The White Wolf, The Colonel, and Percussion World of Electric Six for the ripping finale of Stayin' Alive.
The tour was an incredible experience for all of us, as well as all of those we came in contact with. We'd like to thank Ginger and The Wildhearts, Gavin, Paul, Tommy, Electric Six, Jack from EC1 and Jon Wing of Academy Events for being so awesome to us!!
Here are some more amazing photographs in no particular order of this fantastic voyage.

On October 11, 2008, we headlined New York City's Bowery Ballroom. Here is a clip of our mindblowingly awesome performance. Both we, and the capacity audience that bore witness to our rock, were absolutely stunned by us. Mo'Royce Peterson delivers the gospel according to Mo'Royce Peterson. Bowery Ballroom, October 11, 2008. Here is us being interviewed on Elliot in the Morning on DC101, this past August in Washington DC City. Part 1. And here is Part 2 of this astounding interview.

We just got "spun" on the popular Bruce Dickinson radio show in the U.K. Between ZZ Top and AC/DC!!
http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/shows/bruce_dickinson/tracklisting_20081017.shtml
Here is what Bruce had to say:
"Now....nooooow....will this next album prove to be a classic? Well that depends upon how much of a sense of the ridiculous you have - the album title is a classic all right: "We Rock Sweet Balls and Can Do No Wrong" -- I'll give you that one again in case you missed it - "We Rock Sweet Balls and Can Do No Wrong". Will they be judged as a novelty band? Most probably, but right now, they are great fun! Yes, this is in fact what it appears to be...(sings) Night Fever, Night Fever..."
After Night fever, he says: "Well, Tragedy! Tragedy! (laughs) If you loved that you can blame Ginger from the Wildhearts; he signed them to his label, Round Records. And if you hated that...blame Ginger, he signed them to his label. Anyway, Tragedy are...don't you just love it...an 8 piece band from New York, supposed to be a hoot live, check them out on the Wildhearts upcoming UK tour with a re-formed A also on tour, remember them? Anyway - good night out!"

We, Tragedy, the 1 Heavy Metal Tribute to the Bee Gees in the Tri-State Area, have signed with powerhouse U.K. label Round / Cargo Records. The label will be releasing our mind-blowing debut CD, "We Rock Sweet Balls and Can Do No Wrong" this fall in the United Kingdom, and we shall embark on a two week tour of the U.K. in December in support of U.K. legends The Wildhearts, plus another show in London with Electric Six. All these shows will be in 2,000 to 5,000 capacity venues. The musical Gods have indeed blessed us and we continue to create musical fire by playing blistering heavy metal music to tens of thousands of people. Our gravity-defying career started with Tri-State Domination, then we slayed the entire Northeast Corridor, followed by the entire East USA, and now, we head to the United Kingdom to decimate the good people there We would like to thank ourselves for all of these amazing achievements. Tragedy, A Metal Tribute to the Bee Gees, is one of two new signings at Round Records -- the other act being Electric Six. Here is a sweet photo of Tragedy w/ Round Records owner Ginger (of The Wildhearts) together with Dick Valentine of Electric Six at the official Signing Ceremony in NYC.
