Hey Guys ,

So tonight tune in to American Idol ! I was asked to stop by during the "Boot Camp" week to give the new contestants some words of encouragement and let them in on what i've learned and experienced in the past year . They were all awesome and had tons of questions . I told them all the tricks i've learned to keep my voice in shape . Over the next few months they are gonna experience more singing then their voices are used to so it's important for them to take this very seriously and look after themselves . I had fun catching up with all the producers and before I left sang a familiar duet with a good friend !!!!!! Enjoy

Hey All

So I just wanted to start by saying a big THANK YOU !!!! To my girls at Carlysangeles.net . I got back to the tattoo shop yesterday to find an amazing christmas gift of Ms. Monroe . I love her so much . She is such an icon and you guys once again know me so well . I will hang her on my wall for inspiration :-)

It was so nice to get a break and let my head be empty for a few days . Charleston is such a beautiful city and it killed us to leave .
My brother in law (after six pints of blood) is doing great and returned home before we left for LA so we got to spend some time with him .
It was amazing to visit the Children in MUSC . I didn't post pictures cause I want to respect the privacy of the kids . We all met in the toy room and hung out together for a bit . I sang for all the kids with my niece and nephew and then took pictures with them after . There were a few that were too weak to leave their rooms so we took a tour with the staff and made sure we got to wish them all Merry Christmas . One little girl broke my heart though . She waited to see me all morning and when I got to her room she had been in too much pain that the doctors gave her morphine . It put her into a deep sleep so her mom asked me to sit beside her and get a photo so she knew we didn't forget her .
So back to work now after a rocky Christmas but an awesome one too . I'm so excited this week cause I am finally selling my car and buying a new one . As much as I love my car she has served me well and it is time to move on .

Merry Christmas My Friends ,

    Today I am in Charleston SC with my husband and my American family " The Smithsons ". My husband is from this beautiful city so we try to get back and visit his family whenever we can .

    Unfortunatly Christmas got off to a rocky start for us this year . My brother in law got very sick on Tuesday night and was brought to the ER . Without giving you all to much information thankfully his situation is looking up and he might be able to return home tomorrow afternoon . My niece and nephew are 4 and 7 so waking up without their daddy on Christmas morning was a little stressful for them both but we pulled off Santa Claus and videoed the whole experience to take to him in the hospital . Watching them open their gifts is always so funny .

     My Mom is in South Africa for Christmas with her sisters family and my sister Shannon this year . I installed my sister in laws DSL yesterday so I was able to video chat on Skype with my whole family this morning in Africa before breakfast . Africa was a little too far for me this year as I am too busy with work but hopefully next year I will get to visit with my family for Christmas in Ireland cause its been 5 years and I miss them so much . After breakfast we packed up and went over to the hospital with gifts where we watched "A Christmas Story" in the ward with my brother in law . After we got back we didnt really have time to cook a big dinner so I think we're gonna save all our Turkey and potatoes for tomorrow . 

    Todd totally tricked me this year with my gift . Firstly he bought it infront of me without me even noticing and then he put it in a pirate ship lego box before he wrapped it . I totally thought he had bought me a lego ship . I was super pissed . My face was so relieved when I opened the box and found a beauiful Coach purse inside . Good job Todd !!!! When he asked me before Christmas what I wanted I said , " Warm , Soft and Medium " so he got me Victora Secret PJs too . Yay !!!!

      It's now 10 pm , I've washed the kids , Put their pjs on and with a few Mimosas in me I'm ready for a competitive game of Star Wars Monopoly . Thanks to you guys this new year looks bright for me and my music . January is full of exciting writing oppertunities for me including one with a certain Season 5 rocker whos RAD  Hint Hint ....Yay !!!!! This album is really taking shape and I can't wait for you all to hear it .

Tomorrow I'm visiting with the Childrens Hospital here in Charleston before dinner so I will let you all know how that goes . There are many sick children there so I hope to bring some joy to them this holiday . I'm off to Monopoly now :-) Merry Christmas to you all . Lets make 2009 a blast !!!

So I now know I have the most amazing fans EVER !!!!!! I just watched the video y'all made on Youtube and it is so very special . It brought a tear to my eye :-) . You guys have been so good to me and have created such amazing memories for me I will keep forever . Im in such a great place in my life . Im making such good music and writing every day . I know I promised you all some video from the studio but I had breakfast with Richard Rushfield from The LA Times a few days ago and promised him he could come in and tape it for you guys .

Hey Y'all ,


So I guess you all know I'm a terrible blogger :-) Sorry that Its been a minute or 5 since ive been online here but truth is I have been so crazy busy working as hard as i can on my new life and career . I want to make you all very proud of me . For any of you who make it on to the show this year get ready for the ride of your life . My thoughts are on overdrive so much lately that i've managed to lock my keys in my car 3 times this week and forgotten where I parked for an hour . AAA must think im an idiot .

Firstly once again I have to say thank you to all of you for this experience . Because you believed in me my life has totally taken an awesome turn and I will be forever grateful . This summer on tour I met so many of our fans . Such friendly people with such dedication to Music . I want to make music forever and your love and support drives me to make sure that happens . I also got to meet and have dinner with the girls at carlysangels.net . They are amazing people and have helped me in so many ways . I will be forever grateful for their friendship .

Im waking up this morning in my new home away from home in LA . I have nothing in my kitchen but water , cereal and cashew nuts but I havn't had time to go to the store . I'm not even sure if I know where my local grocery store is yet . Ha Ha !! I am totally in love with my new place . It has exposed brick walls and just a cool loft feeling . Great vibe for making music . Castro came over tonight to hang out and check out my new place . He loved it here so im gonna try convince him to rent the apartment downstairs so I can have a friend in my building . Haha !!! We ended up not being able to work my new TV so opted for a movie called Body Of Lies at the famous chinese theatre . Such a good flick !!!!!! We also listened to some of each others new songs we have written . Let me tell you I will be buying Castros record . I am very proud of him . Beautiful songs !!!

I can't wait for you guys to hear some of the music i've been making . Its such a dream come true for everything to be finally working out . I was up late last night working on a lyric on a new song called "Lay with me" . Im very excited to finish it today !

I took a day off last week cause i was tired so Myself and kim Caldwell went furniture shopping . We didnt buy much though . All we ended up with was a gumball machine that lights up from a yard sale and a wooden elephant head . I think we got bored looking at furniture so we went bowling and clothing shopping instead . Being famous in LA is so wierd though . Im still trying to get used to it . Last night at dinner Kim told me that she saw a news letter on the Planet Funk website that said last week we went into their store and Showed what we bought . So Funny !!! They got it wrong though , I bought the dress and cardi . Kim has adopted me as one of her new super friends here in LA . Trouble is usually at the top of our list . We gel pretty well cause she knows how to have fun but she's also very smart and a hard hard worker . Maybe we should get our own BFF reality show . We'll call it " The Mountains " or " The Not So Simple Life " . LOL !!!!!!

Also last week I was invited to the Christian Audigier show for LA fashion week . I sat across from Heidi Klum and Billy zane . She is soooo beautiful ! The show was awesome . Dave Stewart performed while the models walked down the runway . They had dogs at the show and the runway was made of grass . Pretty cool !!!!

Unfortunately I didn't go to Michaels B-Day bash on Sat . I heard it was epic though from the man himself . We have just recently decided on the perfect songs for our duet so we should be going onto the studio very soon to record them . We have done two events together since the tour ended . A charity event in Orange County where I got to meet Tony Hawk and another in Vegas to launch a new Car for Toyota . Sheryl Crow , Santana and the Blue Man Group also performed . I met one of the blue men backstage . I tried to talk to him but I think he was in character cause he just stared at me and did some mime thing . Michael said they have to stay in character if their faces are blue so I left him alone .

Anyway I cant wait for Saturday . I will be sitting front row at the UFC fight in Chicago . So exciting !!!! Then off to Atlanta for a few days before Ireland .
