New Single "Around Here".

Award winning Tyrone based country singer Aidy Quinn has once again released a new promotional single entitled 'Around Here'. It's an uptempo song from the pen of Richard Fagan & Jeff Moore that the great George Jones recorded earlier in the new millennium.

Being a big fan of Jones, Aidy has been performing this song as part of his live programme and has been inundated with requests from his fans and friends to release it. This prompted him to take the song to his record producer Stephen Smyth at his Cuan Music Studios and they both immediately got to work on it, resulting in this latest musical offering. This number is a track that will be featured on his forthcoming album that will be released in the coming months. Aidy has just had brilliant success with his first Christmas single entitled 'Santa And The Kids', a number that was a turntable hit on national and local radio.

Aidy Quinn once again added to his collection of Awards when on Thursday November 1st at the Annual Awards show in the Glencarn Hotel, Castleblaney he had the honour of receiving an award as 'Best Country Band 2007'. It was presented as part of the prestigious 20th Annual Glencarn Awards in the presence of 1,500 capacity audience. He graciously accepted the award and thanked everyone involved, commenting, "nights like this is one of the reasons people like me enthusiastically follow our dream".

Now having toured the length and breadth of The UK and at home in Ireland, appearing at some of the major festivals, theatres and dance venues, the coming year looks set to be very exciting for Aidy Quinn. He has his new album sceduled for release in early New Year and appearances at many major festivals worldwide, along with invitations to return shows at most venues he has had the honour of appearing at since going on the road with his six piece Country Band. He will be calling to radio stations to thank presenters for playing his music and to say Hi to the listeners and also thank them sincerely for requesting his music.

'Santa And The Kids/Pretty Paper from Aidy Quinn.

Aidy Quinn's first Christmas release is a two track promotional single entitled 'Santa And The Kids/Pretty Paper. Release date is Mon Dec 3rd.

Both songs are well known having been recorded by 'heros of Aidy's' in country music. Santa And The Kids is an up-tempo number made famous by many legends including Charley Pride, whilst Pretty Paper is a beautiful slow Christmas standard made famous by Willie Nelson among others.

Tyrone based Aidy has always been a big fan of Charley Pride and the songs he sings and had a hankering from an early age to record Santa And The Kids, a song that he heard sung by his Mum (Philomena Begley) over many years at Christmas-time at home. Recently when he was in the studio working on his forthcoming album Aidy and the guys had a couple of hours to spare and he took the opportunity with the help of his keyboard player (and owner of the recording studio) Ryan Turner to put this song on tape. In contrast he also included Pretty Paper. The result was outstanding as everyone who listened to both numbers suggested he rush release a Christmas single.

At this point Aidy's management pulled out all stops to have this two track single ready for Christmas and now everyone is very pleased.

Presently Aidy Quinn and his six pieceBand have received many awards and are fast becoming one of the busiest bands on the circuit. He will have another single released in January in preparation for his forthcoming album release in March.

Aidy Quinn Adds To His Awards.
Tyrone singer Aidy Quinn continues to make inroads and collect awards throughout Ireland and UK in the world of country music.
Recently he received Single of the Year Award for his musical offering "Waltzing Margarita Round The Room". This award was presented to Aidy on behalf of the listeners to Tipperary Mid West Radio at their star studded Annual Awards Dinner in The Templemore Arms Hotel, Co. Tipperary. Aidy graciously accepted his special presentation witnessed by many of Ireland's leading names in the world of country music along with some of his friends and fans that that had travelled long distances to be part of this very special evening.
This now adds to a growing Awards list for one of Ireland's young talents in country music.
Last month Aidy performed in Boston, USA following an invitation by a couple on the occasion of their wedding. This invitation came as a result of the couple hearing him on an earlier trip to Europe. Aidy was so well received in Boston that he fitted in another appearance the following evening at The Fiddler where a promoter attending immediately issued Aidy's management team with an open invitation to tour over there when time permits. Recently Aidy also had a very unique experience when, following an invitation he made a special appearance to sing at the final evening of Fr. Brian D'Arcy's well known Novena of Hope at The Graan, Enniskillen. He led the 2,000 strong crowd with some of his now well known renditions along with accompanying other well known artists in some gospel songs. Another very successful appearance was on August 9th at Clonmany Co. Donegal when he entertained 5,500 people at their 40th Annual Festival.
Aidy's Booking Agent, Purple Heather Promotions have a very busy schedule planned that includes a return to Didsbury Festival, Manchester where last year he entertained 3,500 people along with major venues and theatres at home in Ireland and London, Manchester and Hunstanton, Norfolk in The UK. A major Scottish Tour from September 21st through to September 30th will see Aidy Quinn appear in Shetland and Orkney Isles, Following in the footsteps of his mum 'International Queen of Country Music' Philomena Begley, Aidy will appear in Kirkwall and Isle of Westray in The Orkneys and several concerts and dances in Shetland Isles along with the Northern Nashville Country Music Club, Thurso and a return to Insch and Ellon, Aberdeenshire.

Successful Single From Aidy Quinn.

Lough Sheelin Side.

The latest promotional single entitled Lough Sheelin Side from Tyrone based singer Aidy Quinn is fast becoming one of the most requested on radio, both nationally and locally. Released in February following much critical acclaim for his album 'Born And Bred On Country Music' and also his debut single entitled 'Waltzing Margarita Round The Room' his management team now has bright hopes that this recording is set to enhance Aidy's recognition throughout the world of country music. This song is a track taken from his forthcoming album that will be released in the coming months.

Lough Sheelin Side is a beautiful Irish ballad that is sure to display another angle to the voice of this bright young talent. It's again recorded at Cuan Music Studios under the supervision of owner/producer Stephen Smyth.

Besides showing off his country voice on both his earlier releases this number contrasts, something his mum Philomena Begley has successfully achieved throughout her illustrious career.

Aidy is presently doing a promotional tour of national and regional radio stations, together with newspaper and magazine interviews.

Already building a loyal following with fans of country music, the appreciation of Aidy Quinn's music is not restricted by music or audience barriers. Playing corporate and smaller local venues has given Aidy an insight into the grassroots level of the entertainment scene. It was in a local venue in Ardboe, Co. Tyrone that Aidy first fronted his own band, the same venue that his mum Philomena Begley made her first professional appearance all of 45 years ago.

Now with his recording career carefully planned and in place Aidy Quinn's booking agency at Purple Heather Promotions have also launched a very successful touring schedule with his six-piece band that has included

The USA, England, Scotland and Ireland coast to coast. During this coming year Aidy is invited to many festivals and venues from The Shetland & Orkney Isles, also Scotland coast to coast right down through Cumbria, Manchester, Birmingham, Norfolk and London, Portsmouth & Bristol to the south of England, along with a trip to New York and Spain.

All this along with preparing his new album will keep Aidy extremely busy for the foreseeable future and provide a backdrop for Aidy Quinn and his Band to grace the neon lights of the music scene near and far.

Check him out when he visits your area – you wont be disappointed.

AIDY QUINN LAUNCHES NEW CAREER.

The latest name to emerge on the country music scene in Ireland may not be as unfamiliar as you imagine. When we mention Aidy Quinn that name certainly is new, however when we mention Aidy Quinn son of the 'Queen of Country Music' Philomena Begley that's a different matter.

Aidy hails from Galbally in Co. Tyrone and has been reared on country music since he was born. He is son of Philomena Begley and Tom Quinn, who were both members of the great Old Cross Bandshow and Rambling Men from where Philomena went on to greater heights in music throughout the world.

Along with his band Aidy has just returned from a very successful trip to Scotland wher he appeared in Laurencekirk on Friday, Keith Agricultural Hall on Saturday and Inverness on Sunday and also another another successful weekend when he appeared to 3,500 people in Didsbury Irish Festival and also in St. Kentergan's Club, Manchester. Aidy is looking forward to returning to both areas as soon as time permits.

Presently another project for Aidy is promoting his new single entitled Waltzing Margarita Round The Room that is getting extensive airplay on local and national radio. It is an up tempo number and was recorded at Cuan Music Studios, Portaferry, Co. Down with the assistance of owner/produce Stephen Smyth. When Stephen got the call from Aidy he immediately gathered together some of the country's most talented musicians and set to work on material. Aidy is going back in to studio in the coming week to commence recording his new album. We expect another promotional single from that session in four weeks.

Already Aidy has a 14-track album to his credit, having recorded it a year ago to help gain a little profile locally before he would set out on the circuit to front his new band. The album, very aptly titled 'Born and Bred on Country Music' received very good reviews from presenters and producers on local radio.

The word is now out about Irelands newest singing sensation and the future looks bright for Tyrone's Aidy Quinn. His enthusiasm to front his own band was built by listening to Merle Haggard, George Jones, Porter Wagoner, Waylon Jennings and Brad Paisley along with Irish artists including Mick Flavin and of course his mum Philomena Begley.

Aidy Quinn's six piece band includes Kevin Hurson on lead guitar, Emmett Kane on bass, while on Keyboards and Fiddle we have Plunkett McGartland, 'Wishy' Quinn plays steel and rhythm guitar and to complete the line-up we've got Chris Napier on Drums. Most of the members will themselves also double on vocals to compliment Aidan's lively programme with some rock 'n roll and a sprinkling of middle of road and party music.

Purple Heather Promotions, Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh who now handles Aidy's affairs are planning to release a series of singles to help profile this new talent. A new album will also be released in a few months that will hopefully set

Aidy Quinn on the bigger music circuit throughout Ireland, The UK and further afield.
