I got an e-mail from Erika (Bass) (wife), that the sound wasn't too good, although she liked the rest of the site.  Please understand that these are definitely NOT professional recordings.  They were all recorded ( both sessions represented here) on a Sony Minidisc player via a single stereo mike, and are unmixed.  Raw field recordings, 2 tracks, and no way to balance them.  Yet they capture the feel of HANDS FIVE, live, and you can hear that through the background noise, otherwise known as the appreciative audience!  I might change out some of the tunes to get a better sound, but if you really want to know what we are about, come hear us, and especially COME DANCE TO US.......we have the schedule out, and will add more as we book more gigs.

Hope to meet all of you we don't already know, and see all y'all we already do! (that's second person plural for you grammar buffs!)

Well folks, HANDS FIVE may not have it's own website (although I hear tell there is a URL out there somewhere with our name on it) but we now have a fully functioning MySpace site!  We will use this to keep you posted on our scheduled dances, concerts, and camps.  We will also update this Blog with other Band news.

I've had a little practice now making MySpace sites, with my own first, and then SAOIRSE's (check the "Friends List"), but with the HANDS FIVE site, I've had so much more material to work with, thanks to Peter's mp3/photo discs he's put together over the past couple of years.  Hope you enjoy the Tunes, the Pics, and the Slideshow!

BTW, the tunes ARE downloadable, as we aren't trying to sell a CD yet……..that hopefully WILL be in our future!  The only thing the site lacks for now is a video.  The old one I have from 12/05 is too funky to use, and SAOIRSE's videos of the CD Release Event are not in a format I can use right now, but will be converted to DVD one of these days.  Hopefully, there will be some good tracks maybe even with the Step Dancers doin' their thing!  Keep your fingers crossed!

Anyway, enjoy the site, cruise the Pics and the Tunes, and pay our Friends a visit while you are at it!

See you around the Dance Hall!
