"You carry a little pad of paper in your pocket, don't you?  I knew you did.  Well, you set this down.  I thought of it the other day.  Let's take decay.  Now what is decay?  It's fire.  It burns up wood and other things.  You never thought of that?  Of course not.  The sidewalk here and this feed store, the trees down the street there-they're all on fire.  They're burning up.  Decay you see is always going on.  It doesn't stop.  Water and paint can't stop it.  If a thing is iron, then what?  It rusts, you see.  That's fire too.  The world is on fire.  Start your pieces in the paper that way.  Just say in big letters 'The World Is On Fire.'"

Friends,

I've recently had the pleasure of working with two really wonderful publishers in producing two books I am very proud of.

Most recently, I co-edited Down This Crooked Road with RD Armstrong of Lummox Press.  The book is an anthology of sorts, containing work by myself as well as some of my favorite contemporary poets:  MK Chavez, Christopher Robin, Father Luke, Miles J. Bell, Hosho McCreesh and Chris Cunningham.  I hand picked the poets for the collection myself, so if you like my work and trust in my judgmentl, I'd encourage you to give it a look.

Legendary Outlaw poet Todd Moore recently review the collection, calling it  "...some of the best poetry to appear for a while."

Sample poems and ordeing info. can be found here:
http://www.lummoxpress.com/crookedroad.htm

Also available is my most recent collection of poetry, The Hunger Season.  Sunnyoutside did a really wonderful job with this book.  We worked on it over a couple of years, and I truly think it's a strong collection of my work.  A recent review can be read here:

http://www.prickofthespindle.com/reviews/3.3/_small_presses/taylor/the_hunger_season.htm

The book can be ordered on Amazon or directly through sunnyoutside:

Thanks for reading and please forgive the self promotion.  The publishers put a lot of time, money and love into these collections, and I'm very proud of the results.  I would like to see them out and about in the world as much as possible.

Both books of course would make perfect holiday gifts for yourself, friends, family, children, the elderly, complete strangers, pets and sworn enemies.

I thank you.

Hullo.

I recently edited an anthology of contempory poetry with RD Armstrong of Lummox Press. It's called Down This Crooked Road and contains some of the best poetry currently being produced in the independent press, or anywhere else, for that matter.

I handpicked the poets myself, and they include MK Chavez, Hosho McCreesh, Christopher Cunningham, Christopher Robin, Father Luke, Miles J. Bell and myself. It truly is a wonderful collection of work. It's now available to order directly through Lummox Press or Amazon.com More info. on the link below.

Good and wonderful friends,

I have a new poem posted on the Poesy Magazine website
(Scroll down a bit, it's the second piece on the page.):

http://www.poesy.org/mags/38/poetry.html

The poem appears in the hardcopy version of the magazine as well, which was guest edited by Debbie Kirk and is chock full of quality poesy and tributes to the late great Dave Church. Give it a look, it's good stuff..
