We just wanna say sorry to the people who came out to see us or who were expecting us to play at this years MetalFest '09. The events leading up to MetalFest have been totally out of our control and more messed up than you can imagine! We are so bummed we couldn't play, Thanks to everyone who has shown support. Its been a draining couple of days but we had a sweet time hanging with our buds in Through Solace and our new friends in It Prevails, sweet dudes all round! If they are coming through a town near you make sure you go along to a show. Our next show is in Milton Keynes on the 12th September.
Stay Loose

We are freaking siked to announce this, the CD version of 'At The Mouth Of Madness' is nearly sold out of the first press (it was only a 100 copies pressed) but we will have a few available at Cussed Fest in Leeds on July 25th. A second press is in the works, slightly different artwork and different style of on body CD art.
We're also in talks to have it released on 7" vinyl so keep an eye out for pre-orders, expect some awesome colour variations.
Peace, SK

Update time.
In a few weeks we will have available a limited run of demo's of our new album material. Limited to 100 copies and released on fist In The Air records, this CD showcases our new set of tracks which we feel are the best we've written so far.
The CD will be available directly from the band or from the FITA distro, we'll let you know when this is about to come out. Expect some amazing new shirts to come out at the same time, along with our older designs being reduced to crazy prices.
Over the past few weeks we have been trying out a new guitarist and were now proud to introduce Ben our new shredder who will be playing in Santa Karla from now on. Ben previously played in Liar from Belgium and moved to the UK a while ago. SK is back on the move. See you all soon
Love love.

Current mood: horny
We've just posted up a couple of new songs, we're affectionately calling the duo the "Old & New" songs. Whispers is one of the newest tracks we have, a taster if you will for the new album we're in the middle of writing. It doesn't show us doing what is trendy at the moment and completely changing our style but it does represent Santa Karla in 2009, meatier and with more beef (lamb?). Flashback II represents the old, it was the first song Santa Karla wrote and it was on our demo back in 2006, we though it would be fun to rerecord it using the current lineup and record it the way we play it live seeing as its still a staple of our live show. Flashback II will be up for download on a link at some point in the future, we never intended it to be released on any official capacity, its something for the peeps out there that still dig us as a thankyou for not thinking we suck. Love love. SK

Two nights ago thieves broke into our now defunked practice space and stole all of our guitar gear, this included an Orange Thunderverb 200 head and a brand new Schecter Hellraiser Tempest , all of Stu's bass gear and other guitars and heads. As you expect we are all heart broken and bemused as most of the stuff we had collected over many years! We have no way of getting this stuff back but are activley hunting down the people who are responsible. We are gonna play as many shows as we can and not let this slow us down.
We will keep you posted Cheers SANTA KARLA

The muscular Kent based metal of Santa Karla is one powerful force to
be reckoned with, and with a successful 2008 under their belts, they
are tipped to be one of the hottest newcomers of 2009.
With many English and European tours behind them, they are no
strangers to live performance, and their ferocious demeanour on stage
often leaves an impression on the minds of those watching. Featuring
ex members of 'The Break In', Lostfoundbroken' and 'Black & Blue', it
is clear that Santa Karla's members are not shy of experience.
Complications forced the band into a short lived hiatus in mid 2007,
but after line up changes and a lot of work, the band burst back on to
the scene with the spectacular release of ' A Thousand Deaths' in
early 2008, which exposed tracks of a better quality than ever before.
Taking influence from early metalcore pioneers and modern metal and
rock, they created a sound that refused to alienate fans of either
style.
'A Thousand Deaths' received outstanding reviews from many music
publications including Rock Sound, Terrorizer and Metal Hammer and was
released on the Leeds based independent Label 'Safety Records'.
Santa Karla have shared stages with the likes of Shai Hulud, Campus,
Remembering Never, Liferuiner, First Blood and Your Demise, and their
performance at the 'Royal Rumble' all day festival in January 2009
alongside Dead Swans got them noticed by Kerrang who gave them a KKK
review.
2009 holds many things for Santa Karla, including a
performance at the upcoming Visible Noise/Metal Hammer 'Dark Days'
festival at Islington academy, London. A full-length album release is
also scheduled for Autumn 2009.
Its rare that you see such a hardworking band who dedicate everything
they have to their music. Playing shows up and down the country and
writing new music at every given opportunity It definitely looks like
the hard work is going to pay off for this band this year.
