Jana Hunter (Baltimore) soulfully deep-voiced singer-songwriter on Gnomonsong who collaborates and performs with acts like Beach House, Castanets, Vetiver, Deer Tick and Devendra Banhart, is touring for the first time with a full band and is coming to New Brunswick! She won't be performing in Manhattan on this tour so catch her up here while you can before she comes back playing a less intimate venue.

Human Adult Band (New Jersey/Philadelphia) experimental noise/grunge fronted by Trevor Pennsylvania and backed by a collective of artists and general weirdos.

Mirrors & Wires (New Jersey) psychedelic surf band that kind of make you feel like you'd rather be catching waves.

Exploding August + Solanin (Jersey City) are beautiful ladies performing melodies for your sonic pleasure and if you ask them, will probably also have equally beautiful crafts to buy/swap.

Not sure of the title yet, but the compilation is coming out on Village Vert in France.  I am told that the artists are set to be exploding august, The Innocence Mission, M Ward, My Brightest Diamond, Steve Jowett, Migala, Animal Collective, We Operate Man, Scout Niblett, Damien Rice, Ryan Adams, Kevin Barnes (Of Montreal), The Baby Rock Records, Sylvain Chauveau, The Last Town Chorus, Richard Hawley, Billy Bragg, Erlend Oye, Loquat, Songs of Ohia & Tobias Hellkvist.  The premise is that we have all covered new folk songs.
