You know--it's funny--I'm not a New Yorker.  In fact--I've only been there once in my life.  It was in September 1997--for a wedding.  My husband is from the Bronx--and his cousin was getting married.

And it's not like I knew much about the Towers before 911.

But I still miss them.

And it's still a shock when I see them on TV or in a movie.

It's not a bad shock--I like to see them before that terrible day.

I know that they are not nearly as important as all the way too many people that we lost that day.  I count myself lucky that I did not lose anyone I knew that day.

I have taken that huge book out of the library a few times--that gives a short bio on them.

Maybe because it's so much more painful to focus on the people--that I focus on the buildings. 

Okay--I'm done now.  I just wanted to share that.
