Current mood: hopeful
Hey guys. Dante here. I've had an epiphany in the shower today (Where all good epiphanies come from, in my opinion) and i've decided to do a Star Wars Fan Film. That's right, i said it: A Star Wars Fan Film.
It all started about a week ago when i thought "What if Darth Vader defeated Obi-Wan on Mustafar? How would the world of star wars be different? I've been coming up with brainstorms about this idea, and then it suddenly hit me: i should make a film, with that being the central theme.
I'm working on getting some custom made lightsabers for myself, as well as getting back in shape (once my knee is healed and stuff.) But for when i'm on my ass with nothing to do, and on crutches...with nothing to do...I figured it'd be a great time to work on production of a fan film, with filming set once i'm healed (so i can be a part of it, of course)
If ANYONE who's interested in writing something, like a script, or an outline of some sort, would like to help me realize this awesomeness of a fan film, PLEASE send me a message. Star Wars knowledge is a plus, but certainly not needed. Hell, you can watch the movies and learn what you need to know in a day or two. But i just need someone to help me write this. The more people on board the better.

Hey everybody. I dunno who's interested, but i thought i'd let you all know what i'm hoping for this holiday season:
1: Cash (I need gas money, and what better time than Christmas to treat yourself to a new tattoo. Im sure if everyone pitches in, i could get enough. But gas comes first, of course :P)
2: Dragonball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 (Yeah, I'm a DBZ Geek. Get over it. Buy it. Love it)
3: Pro Wrestling Gear, including kneepads, lucha libre pants/outfits, mouth guard, boots, ect. (I'm finally going to go into pro wrestling as a hopeful career. I need 6000 in order to pay for the training camp, but i think it would be good to have my own wardrobe to start out with even before i go in)
See? It's not nearly as bad as other years. If you think there is ANYTHING you can help with, i would be much appreciated. I really would be. It's that time of year. I wish i could get everyone i know something, but i cannot. Trust me, once i hit it big, none of you will be forgotten.
Oh, and speaking of the holiday season, if you or your family want DVD's, don't forget who has them! Ok, so it was longer than the weekend. Right now, it looks like i'm out for GOOD. I've fucked up badly (LONG story) with the folks. I dunno what to do. Unfortunately, i'm not in well enough with my girlfriend's folks to spend the night over there, (and theyre going on vacation anyway) and sleeping in the car is a last resort for me. Most of you know how shitty my car is to DRIVE in, imagine how it is to sleep in!
Ive realized quite recently that I am very much a burden to many people, my friends and family included. Even if i was accepted back into my family, i don't think i could go. I have caused WAY too much trouble and heartache with my parents to be able to go back. It's always said that in order to be forgiven, one must forgive oneself. Well, I haven't done that yet. i'm not ready to forgive myself yet. So yeah, homelessness is shitty...but i have to own it.
It's not gonna be as bad as it could be. I still have all my stuff, like my dvd's, phone, laptop, game system, guitar, books, and swords, as well as my car, and a weeks worth of clothes. If all goes bad, i could always sleep in my car, read my martial arts books, train, go to a starbucks occasionally and charge my cell phone and use the internet. So i'm not TOTALLY helpless...just without a place to call my own. Then again...I really would trade it all for a comfortable, decent place to stay at night.
I have Kim, and she's been the biggest of help. She really is an amazing girl. She's been here for me through thick and thin, she's helped me get a place to stay the first night, and no matter what, she's sticking by my side. And i couldnt ask anything more of her. Sometimes it seems like she's the only thing keeping me here. I mean no offense to anyone else that has stuck by me. You're all important too, dont ever forget that...but at the end of the day, it's her face that i fall asleep to, wherever i may be. But unfortunately at times like these, that just isnt enough. I need a job, i need a cash flow, i need cashing in on favors, and most of all, i need a place to stay that ISNT Telegraph Ave.
So anyway, if there is any way that I could bunk up for a few days anywhere close, please let me know. I don't have much of a choice but to ask...and if anyone out there has favors that i havent yet cashed in on, now would be the time for me to do so. Dont worry about food, i should be fine fending for myself in that respect. I'm Italian, we're pretty resourceful in that respect. All i ask is for a bed and a computer (every so often) for the next few nights. Even if you can only spare a room for one night, that would be much appreciated. Please let me know as soon as you can. I'm gonna try to get my laptop and cell phone charger REALLY late tonight at my house, but i cannot promise anything, so PLEASE call me tonight or message me on here as soon as you can...if you can.
It would be very much appreciated if anyone could help.
PS: Now would be a great time to buy dvds from me too, so i have some gas money lol. Seriously though, thanks again if you're able and willing to help. I very much appreciate it. I need all the help i can get right now. Who knows when I'll be back in the ol' house again.
Wish me luck.

Hey everyone. As you all know, I have ABSOLUTELY no cash flow...but i need money. (Dont we all). I am currently cleaning out my room, looking for things that could be valuable, when i realized something...I HAVE AN EXTENSIVE MOVIE COLLECTION!!!
For the past three days, i have sifted through my movie collection (Which, let me tell you, is EXTENSIVE!) And out of the One Hundred and Twenty-Three different movies in my collection, i have picked out over 50 to sell. I have a list of them below. While their prices range from anywhere to $10 to over $50, I can ASSURE you that they are cheaper than you will find them in the stores. They are cheaper than those you'll buy in Longs, Blockbuster (I'm SURE of it) Frys, even Target. I'm damn sure that my prices are not only lower, but certainly fair.
Every movie I own is in TOP CONDITION; some of them haven't even been put in a dvd player since they were purchased They are the closest to BRAND NEW that you will get from Pre-Owned dvd's. Allele - Closer to Habit
How cold the light unfolds I feel unfaided Revealed the truth and I become unstapled Now you're sick and exhausted, you're choking up All your thoughts of regret, what you've given up Now you're crazed and disgusted, this place is destructive And now, its taken me over
I have the world to walk on my own How can I face the truth alone? And I've found the will to bury it all And I'm closer, now I'm closer to habit
You shoot the sky with lies It becomes unfaithful Open your eyes till they finally close Revealed the truth and I've become unstable No more aching to find what you cant live up As your tastes become needs don't you get enough? Now you're closer to habit, cursed as an addict Some how, save me
I have the world to walk on my own How can I face the truth alone? And I've found the will to bury it all And I'm closer, now I'm closer to habit
I will not give in to this habit
I have the world to walk on my own How can I face the truth alone? And I've found the will to bury it all And I'm closer, now I'm closer to habit
But I'm closer to habit
Smile Empty Soul - For You
i waited for you i died inside my own head and i'd die again for you
i'm faded and tired completely uninspired and i'd die again for you
so kill me with the love that you won't give to me and pack the wound with salt i want to feel it bleed
i'm searching for reasons to keep away the demons and i'd die again for you i wish you were near me could feel it when you hear me say i'd die again for you
so kill me with the love that you won't give to me and pack the wound with salt i want to feel it bleed you wanted me to crawl so now i'm on my knees
why's it always have to be me that's always left out to burn and i'll never learn
That pretty much sums it all up. I dont know what to think these days. My life as of right now is confused but hopeful. But am i being TOO hopeful? I feel so strongly, and yet i have doubts. i ALWAYS have doubts. I dont doubt how I feel, but i do doubt the reciprocation of said feeling. Not completely, but sometimes. "Actions speak louder than words" has been brought painfully info focus for me recently. We say one thing, then we go and do another, or we just dont do anything at all. We make hollow promises, and I seem to be the only one these days keeping them. It's been a tough few weeks, and truly confusing as well. Will things work out the way i want them to? I hope so, but i know also that i have no say in the matter. I have no control over what happens. All i can do is hope. I shouldnt even care, when i look at it from a third party perspective. I'm not in a position to care, i'm not in a position to ask for ANYTHING. Yet, i still do, and i still hope that things will work out in my favor.
In the words of Mithrandir: "There never was much hope...Just a fool's hope." And that's all i've got right now. A fool's hope. But hey, sometimes that's enough...

Hahaha, Once more with the Quotes. Clapton once again, DAMN this song is good ;)
What'll you do when you get lonely And nobody's waiting by your side? You've been running and hiding much too long. You know it's just your foolish pride.
Layla, you've got me on my knees. Layla, I'm begging, darling please. Layla, darling won't you ease my worried mind.
I tried to give you consolation When your old man had let you down. Like a fool, I fell in love with you, Turned my whole world upside down.
Layla, you've got me on my knees. Layla, I'm begging, darling please. Layla, darling won't you ease my worried mind.
I tried to give you consolation When your old man had let you down. Like a fool, I fell in love with you, Turned my whole world upside down.
Let's make the best of the situation Before I finally go insane. Please don't say we'll never find a way And tell me all my love's in vain.
Layla, you've got me on my knees. Layla, I'm begging, darling please. Layla, darling won't you ease my worried mind.

HELLYEAH, the new band featuring former PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott alongside members of MUDVAYNE and NOTHINGFACE, will be in Dallas, Texas on Sunday, February 25 at 3:00 p.m. to shoot its first video for "You Wouldn't Know". "Instead of just doing the standard 'show up and stand around,' we're turning it into a full-on, full-blown party right in the parking lot of the world famous Clubhouse!" frontman Chad "Helvis" Gray (MUDVAYNE) says. "This is a b.y.o.b event. Booze, babes, barbecue and bad-ass bikes, muscle cars and jacked up trucks. If you have any wheels bring 'em down and show em off to the world. Oh, and did we mention that all you gorgeous ladies need to bring your fine assets down??? Well, we just did!!! Sunday the 25th! Clubhouse! Dallas, TX! 3 p.m.!!!!! Ya gonna tell your friends, ya gonna tell your friends to tell their friends. Spread this around and be there? HELLYEAH FUCKYEAH YOU WILL!!!!! Also the fucking plays on MySpace are through the roof and I just wanted to say thank you for all your help in raising HELLYEAH awareness! From Portland, Oregon :), to Portland, Maine, everywhere in between and across the sea. Make sure y'all hit 'Demand It!' to let us know what towns we need to be making stops in on the up coming tours."
The first single from HELLYEAH's self-titled debut album, "You Wouldn't Know", has been posted online at the band's MySpace page(http://www.myspace.com/hellyeah). The single will go for radio adds on February 26-27.
HELLYEAH's self-titled debut CD is scheduled for release on April 10 via Epic Records.
The quintet includes three of hard rock's most revered and valuable players, with careers highlighted by an astonishing run of chart-topping gold and platinum albums, major industry awards, critical acclaim, Grammy nominations and music of monolithic power.
"Tom [Maxwell, NOTHINGFACE; guitar], Jerry [Montano, DANZIG, NOTHINGFACE; bass] and I have been talking about working together ever since we staggered through the streets of New Orleans five years ago," says MUDVAYNE/HELLYEAH vocalist Chad "Helvis" Gray. "I mentioned it to Greg [Tribbett, MUDVAYNE; guitar] and he immediately wanted in, and when Vinnie came on board the whole thing just took on a life of its own. This was a must-do project for all of us."
"The guys from HELLYEAH and the incredible music we've created have brought me back to what I love," states Vinnie. "'HellYeah' is the best record I've collaborated on since [PANTERA's] 'Vulgar Display of Power'. The vibe is 'positive with a kick-your-ass-attitude.' I can't wait to take this band on tour."
Gray and Tribbett will tour in support of the HELLYEAH debut in between recording the new MUDVAYNE album. The follow-up to 2004's blockbuster release, "Lost And Found", which debuted at No. 2 on Billboard's Top 200, is due this fall and finds the Grammy-nominated quartet working once again with producer Dave Fortman (EVANESCENCE, SUPERJOINT RITUAL).
"It's cool to have both MUDVAYNE and HELLYEAH as creative outlets now, even though the approach, subject matter, and attitudes between the two projects are completely different," says Gray. "I'm looking forward to balancing both bands in my life — my new extremely busy life."
A nine-minute video of HELLYEAH writing and recording its self-titled album in Dallas, Texas has been posted online at YouTube.com (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5nTQutzjt0)

Once again, i am compelled to post lyrics that i feel like i am connecting to at this perticular time, or, in this case, that say what i have been trying to put into words for a while now. They are self explainatory, i think...
James Blunt - Goodbye my Lover
|
|
Did I disappoint you or let you down? Should I be feeling guilty or let the judges frown? 'Cause I saw the end before we'd begun, Yes I saw you were blinded and I knew I had won. So I took what's mine by eternal right. Took your soul out into the night. It may be over but it won't stop there, I am here for you if you'd only care. You touched my heart you touched my soul. You changed my life and all my goals. And love is blind and that I knew when, My heart was blinded by you. I've kissed your lips and held your head. Shared your dreams and shared your bed. I know you well, I know your smell. I've been addicted to you.
Goodbye my lover. Goodbye my friend. You have been the one. You have been the one for me.
I am a dreamer but when I wake, You can't break my spirit - it's my dreams you take. And as you move on, remember me, Remember us and all we used to be I've seen you cry, I've seen you smile. I've watched you sleeping for a while. I'd be the father of your child. I'd spend a lifetime with you. I know your fears and you know mine. We've had our doubts but now we're fine, And I love you, I swear that's true. I cannot live without you.
Goodbye my lover. Goodbye my friend. You have been the one. You have been the one for me.
And I still hold your hand in mine. In mine when I'm asleep. And I will bear my soul in time, When I'm kneeling at your feet.
Goodbye my lover. Goodbye my friend. You have been the one. You have been the one for me. I'm so hollow, baby, I'm so hollow. I'm so, I'm so, I'm so hollow. |
There you are...enjoy, comment, whatever... he has said what i needed to say. Thanks, James.

In light of recent information, I have since changed my name to the apparently already popular nickname: Scotty D...aptly named after the already infamous Scott Dyleski. If you have forgotten already, or dont live in the area, and don't know the name or the story, i have included it at the bottem of this blog.
i have done this name change for a couple of reasons...since playing basketball in weight training class (yes, it's a class! hey, easy credits) i have been hearing people chear me on as "Scotty D." At first this disturbed me: Why would i be given a name of a convicted murderor!? Was i really that repulsive? Did i really strike that kind of message into people's minds? Did people expect the same behavior from me? Or was the name given just due to the fact that i HAPPENED to have long brown hair, wear a trenchcoat, and listen to heavy metal? Or was there some other connection made to this kid, one that i knew nothing about? After the initial shock wore off, i just shrugged it off. So what if they were? In a way, i accepted it...it DID fit, in some ways after all. i DID have long hair. i DID wear a coat. i DID listen to heavy music. And, against the requests of friends and family, i failed to cut my hair, and continued to wear my coat and blast music like *gasp*Marilyn Manson!*faints*
Now, i am not sure EXACTLY where i stand on the matter. But what i can decypher is this: i still feel the same way about this labelling as i did when the murder was committed, the same way as i felt when the tragedy at Columbine took place: Angry and Defensive...THIS is the reason that i have taken the risk to change my name to afor-mentioned. i did NOT change it to piss people off, although i'm sure it might piss some of my acalanes friends off...that's not my intention. i did not do it for attention, if i wanted attention, i could run through the quad and around the cafeteria butt-naked during lunch. i did not do it to be rebellious, if i wanted to be rebellious, i would be cutting class and smoking in the creek during a rally. i did not do it to sell out to the growing number of people calling me by said name, if i wanted to conform, i would have bought an Ipod and posted a shirtless myspace picture.....wait a minute.... the reason i changed my name is the reason i was so loud during the Columbine tragedy, and the reason i WILL be loud during the Dyleski trial: to make a point! Just because i wear a trenchcoat and deafen myself with Pantera, doesnt mean im going to go apeshit and shoot my classmates, or snap and beat my neighbor to death and carve a "gothic symbol" into her back (what the fuck was with that little addition? what the fuck is a "gothic symbol." what a fucking stereotype...i have since looked up the TRUE definition of "gothic" for you all and added it to the bottem for yor viewing pleasure and enlightenment). but yeah, im not gonna do that shit, im not one to conform to stereotypes. just cuz i have a coat and wear it doesnt mean im gonna kill you...i have long hair. stoners have stereotypically had long hair...yet anyone who bothers to know me KNOWS that i havent taken a puff of ANY kinda smoke in my life! yet people continue to peg me with names like Scotty D, or mutter something to do with the Matrix or Columbine when i pass. Bottom line? I changed my name to Scotty D to make a point: if you dont know me, and you're gonna base your opinion of me on my name, then fuck you. If you're not going to bother to learn WHO i am, what my personality is like, what kind of person i am outside of the coat and the headphones, then why the hell should i bother to know you? If you only see clothes, then you dont really need to pay attention. Perhaps this will weed out the TRUE people in life, the people who are actually interested in WHO i am, who arent intimidated by a name.
"Mankind has always feared what it doesnt understand." This is all too true. Unfortunately, mankind is also seemingly too cowardly and stupid to bother with actually UNDERSTANDING said enigma, and coming to terms with it. Well, understand me, come to terms with me, cuz im here. I am who I am, not who you THINK i am...and i'm not going to change, so deal with it...but seriously, i encourage you ALL to look past the coat, the hair, and the headphones, and see what kind of person i REALLY am...I'm not going to hold your hand through it by removing the said articals from my everyday life...but hey, make the effort to look past all that. make your judgement based on what you know of ME, not what you know from nicknames and rumors and stories. get to know "Alex Tucker," not "Scotty D"...who knows, you might like what you find...
_________________________________________________________________
As promised, here is the article of the REAL Scotty D (from Wikipedia, surprisingly...YES this guy already has his own wiki page!) as well as a TRUE definition of "Gothic" or "Gothism"
"Scott Edgar Dyleski (born October 30, 1988) is a 17-year-old college student and the neighbor of Pamela Vitale, the wife of prominent attorney Daniel Horowitz. In the fall of 2005, Dyleski was accused of beating her to death in her Lafayette hills home. He is currently being held on $1 million bail. His murder trial will begin on July 17, 2006.
Scott Dyleski is a former student of Acalanes High School in Lafayette, California. In the summer of 2005 he received his GED and began studying art at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, California. On October 15, 2005, his neighbor Pamela Vitale was found dead by her husband. Four days later, Contra Costa County sheriff's deputies searched Scott's home. Investigators seized two laptops, a computer, bedding, knives and a duffel bag. The next day, he was charged with first-degree murder as an adult in the death of Pamela Vitale. If convicted, he faces up to 26 years to life in prison. His mother, Esther Fielding, was accused of helping her son destroy evidence, but the charge was dropped after she agreed to cooperate with prosecutors.
On November 9, 2005, Dyleski plead not guilty. In late November 2005, the Contra Costa Superior Court imposed a gag order that bars all trial participants from talking to reporters. This was the first gag order issued in Contra Costa County in 40 years.
Investigators believe Dyleski and his friend planned to start a marijuana-growing operation, with Dyleski in charge of raising money. Dyleski is believed to have stolen credit card bills from several mailboxes and used the cards to order supplies. Media reports further indicate that Dyleski ordered the supplies on October 12, 2005 and believed they were delivered to Vitale's house on Hunsaker Canyon Road in Lafayette, California, although they never were delivered. Dyleski is believed to have gone to the property to find the supplies and had a confrontation with Vitale.
Authorities believe Dyleski killed Vitale by striking her 39 times in the head with a piece of crown molding and then carved a "gothic" signature into her back. Dyleski, who is 5'5" tall and weighs 110 pounds, had scratches on his face and legs consistent with a violent struggle when arrested.
On December 8, 2005, Judge David Flinn set the preliminary hearing for February 14, 2006.
On February 17, 2006, Judge Mary Ann O' Malley ruled that prosecutors have enough evidence to try him for the murder of Pamela Vitale, saying "There is sufficient evidence to believe Scott Dyleski is guilty".
On March 3, 2006, Dyleski was arraigned on an additional charge of first-degree residential burglary. If convicted, he could be sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole. Dyleski entered a new plea of not guilty to all the charges. A trial date was set for July 17, 2006"
Defining "Gothic"
The Dictionary translation of "Goth" or Gothic (in the modern sense) is: a modern subculture that first became popular during the early 1980s within the gothic rock scene, a sub-genre of post punk. It is associated with gothic tastes in music and clothing. Styles of dress range from gothic horror, punk, Victorian, fetish, cybergoth, androgyny, and/or lots of black. Since the mid-1990s, styles of music that can be heard in goth venues range from gothic rock, industrial, punk, metal, techno, 1980s dance music, and several others.
Goth is actually much more than the sum of its parts, and, depending on who you ask, you can get a bewildering array of contradictory answers, many of which are valid parts of a much larger subculture. It is more than a label or description. Goth is at once a lifestyle and a philosophy that has its roots firmly embedded both in the historical past and the present.
The central Ideal that characterizes Goth is an almost compulsive drive towards creativity and self-expression that seeks to reach out and ensnare its audience using our current society's covert but deeply rooted fascination with all things dark and frightening. This act can be either subtle and seducing or nightmarishly terrifying, but it must play on what society secretly knows but can not acknowledge to itself about its duality. The mediums of self-expression and creation can be anything from a mode of dress to novels or music. Imagination and originality have always been key elements in Goth.
As a lifestyle, Goth is as diversified as its adherents. There really is no true unifying stereotype or dress code as it were. Not all Goths are depressed, nor do they all wear black, listen to the same music, or employ the same modes of self-expression. This tends to make Goth-spotting a little tricky and creates part of the tangled confusion over what it is to begin with, but this diversity also is one of the defining factors.
Basically, one of Goth's defining characteristics is the need to take the underlying darkness that is in all of us and bring it into the light in such a way as we can recognize it as what it is-an integral part of all of us, for better or for worse.
I suggest you all look up MORE on gothic culture if you're interested. it actually derived as european architecture, before it was equated with black and depression...but yes, that's it, im done! Thank you for your time!

Disturbed - Pain Redefined
Fading, falling, lost in forever Will I find a way to keep it together? Am I strong enough to last through the weather in the hurricane of my life? Can it be a conscious decision? That I look for ways to alter my vision? Am I speeding towards another collision in the alleyways of my life?
Memories don't lie You're no better than Memories don't lie You're no better than Memories don't lie You're no better than Those who have fallen Memories don't lie You're no better than Memories don't lie You're no better than Memories don't lie You're no better than Those who have fallen
And please believe me Did my eyes deceive me? Don't stand me up Just leave me I have fallen again This is the end Pain redefined
Shaking, burning up with the fever In the realm of pain, I am the deceiver That will let myself, so I can believer her But she dissembles my life I cannot dispel the illusion All my hopes and dreams are drowned by confusion Can I find a way to make a solution that will reconfigure my life?
Memories don't lie You're no better than Memories don't lie You're no better than Memories don't lie You're no better than Those who have fallen Memories don't lie You're no better than Memories don't lie You're no better than Memories don't lie You're no better than Those who have fallen
And please believe me Did my ears deceive me? Don't stand me up Just leave me I have fallen again This is the end Pain redefined
And I know that stillness shatters We have all been frightened by the The sound of footsteps on the pavement of our lives I stand and fight I'm not afraid to die Elochai, bury me tonight
Please believe me When the world deceives me Don't stand me up Just leave I have fallen again This is the end Pain redefined
